Hotel Haymarket by Scandic, Stockholm

Location was good but I hated the noise from the plaza. Vendors setting up their stands at 5am was crazy and too noisy. Hotel restaurant was very nice.

The water controls in the shower was irritating.

The breakfast was amazing, huge selection available, especially the fresh baked bread. The hotel was in a fantastic location. Loved the 1920s decor, stunning.

One small issue was the air conditioner in our room wasn't working properely so the room was extremely warm (as we had a room without a window) but we were able to get a fan from reception.

Nice atmosphere, nice decoration, room beautiful, overlooking the square.

there was nothing to dislike at all ,Stockholm is absolutely beautiful ,Hotel is right in the centre and quite easy to locate.

Bed very comfortable and location

Curtains didn't cover all the many windows and light from the surrounding buildings kept the room light. Also the weighing scales that they had had been misplaced so we weren't able to check the weight of our luggage prior to departure

Beds not very comfortable. Rooms could have been cleaner, the skirting boards and other decorative surfaces were dusty. Front desk team didn't action any of our requests. For example, replenishing our tea and coffee whilst we were out one day.

Gorgeous interiors in the hotel, loved the throwback to the 1920s. Room was compact but didn't feel too small. Really gorgeous design. Great location and very close to metro stop.

Price was quite high for a room with no window or breakfast for one night. Stayed in middle of hotel due to having no window and there was a lot of banging in the morning, think it was near the cleaning facilities for staff.

Great location, and the bar was very nice. Rooms were well cleaned every morning. Bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was cute. It was nice that we were able to check in early (9am) even though they charged us an extra fee for checking in early (not sure why the fee).

The room wasn’t great isolated, the walls were made of paper (we could hear the neighbour walking & opening/closing his door at night) waking us up at night. The room felt like a box, not suitable for individuals struggling with claustrophobia.

Room was restful and well laid out. We had lots of windows and could open a tad to ventilate which was great. Bathroom with a shower not a full bathroom but perfect for a few days. Breakfast choices were good we all found something we liked. The location is perfect for the train station and also lots of restaurants and shops nearby, we will return to this hotel, comfortable and central.

We were travelling as a family and requested rooms nearby each other but we were on different floors to our children not ideal should they have been younger. The carpet in the common areas could do with upgrading.

Not enough surface and no drawers in the room for putting out your stuff. Public rooms are really street bars so feel like you can only go there and drink with non-hotel guests rather than just lounge about when not in your room. We had a breakfast bag for our departure day because we were leaving early in the morning, which was paltry by any standards and certainly compared with the wonderful breakfast available normally. Not a big deal but a shame to send guests on their way with a bad show.

Reception is located a half floor down from the lobby and the elevator does not stop there so you have to drag your luggage down several steps.

The floor in the room was dirty; it was simply not cleaned well enough (stains and dirt), something which could easily have been avoided.

The hotel is set in a beautiful Art Deco building from 1916, and the interior design wonderfully reflects this era. Our room maintained a high standard, featuring a comfortable bed and a bathroom with a heated floor. The bathroom also comes with refillable toiletries including body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The room had air conditioning, but we appreciated that the window could also be opened for fresh air. A tea kettle was available in the room. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering many choices including a waffle maker, sparkling wine, and fresh juice. A booking slot is required to manage space, which worked well. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. There is a bar on site that offers innovative cocktails, perfect for relaxing in the evening. Luggage storage is available, which was very convenient for us. We used the express check-out option since our bill was settled at check-in, making our departure smooth and quick. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the main station where the Arlanda Express arrives from the airport. The old town is also a 10-minute walk away, with all major attractions being easily walkable yet the area remains fairly quiet.

Our room was pretty small, so those bringing a lot of luggage should consider booking a larger room. The building is quite large, so the walk from the elevator to our room was a bit long. Those having issues with walking should ask for a room close to the elevator.
