Hotel Haymarket by Scandic, Stockholm

Great hotel, in a classic building overlooking Haymarket (Hotorget) square with its daily street market. Surrounded by lots of food and shopping options. Excellent location with one minute walk to the Hotorget metro station, which gets you to the Gamle Stan historic district in 10 minutes. Nine minute walk to Stockholm central train and bus stations, with fast connections to and from Aranda airport. Five minute walk to Tram 7, which takes 10-15 minutes to the Djurgarden District with the Vasa, Abba, Nordic, etc., museums

The location is perfect. There are many restaurants nearby and close to the train station.

It was very loud early in the mornings, it seemed like someone was opening and slamming doors and moving furniture all the time.

Very comfortable and good position for HOPO bus and a market place next to the hotel . The staff were very accommodating with our requests .

The first room allocated was really small ( purchased by the agent for our tour ) but they moved us to a larger room at no extra cost as we were staying for three extra nights after the tour

Location and frendly staff

It was cold in the room and AC was on all the time Wardrobe didnt have shelves only hangers It was inconvinient to book breakfast

The proximity to central station, walking to shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurants were great. The lobby and room decor were very stylish. The blackout curtains were amazing after a long day of travel to take a nap.

The bedding was thin and our feet were hanging out the bottom of the blanket. Also, we only had one towel per person.

Ideally situated

Only negative was that there were no draws for clothing,only hangers in the wardrobe.

The location was great and the hotel was smart, clean and comfortable.

Facilities like the TV options wernt great - we couldn’t watch a movie for example as only Swedish channels. Gym was in the courtyard and on show - overlooked by the rooms - so decided not to go. At the bar, I was charged £35+ for one cocktail and two lemonades and a soda and lime. So we decided not to drink there again.

The room window is high , the view was to the next building, therefore not enough light

They don’t provide a parking and they don’t know where the guests can park. Simply you must find a solution by yourself

The location is fantastic and the hotel is beautiful. No sound during the night and accessibility is great.

The rooms are a bit small and thus a bit expensive for what they are.

Great location. Just a few minutes to the T-Centralen station. Local market right in front of the hotel. Cleanliness of the room was okay-ish.

We wish the room would've had more amenities, for example tissues and cotton swabs. Bathroom was large but needs more space to put down things. Placement of the towel holders is in the shower, which is a questionable choice. Bed's and pillows are terribly soft. I had neck pain after sleeping in the bed for a week.

Wonderful 20s atmosphere and art deco interior. Very central and good value.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet and bar lounge was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Never get rid of the gorgeous flamingo tiles in the bathrooms !! Lovely Loppis on Saturdays ! Super location, lovely high ceilings and decor, good sized room. Nice bath. Super staff, kind and accommodating

Room wasn't cleaned when requested... Never saw any housekeeping staff

Amazing staff!

The only thing I can say is that the air conditioner was very loud and I could have slept better with it turned off.

Design of the hotel is amazing, rooms are cozy, love the vanities with lights, location was perfect!

The mattress of the bed was a bit old and had lost its form, maybe they could use to be replaced.

Very friendly staff. We had 2 requests and they gladly helped us. The design was also very nice and it was never too loud. Very clean.

Too small room, nothing in the minibar, even not a sigle bottle of water, cleaning only by request, no slippers , no bathrobe in the room, bad smell on the coridors and this is a 4 stars hotel!!!

Lovely hotel within easy distance of the central station and local attractions. Good size room, comfy bed. Nice bar area downstairs with friendly bar staff.

Breakfast was good, hotel had a nice atmosphere. Location was excellent. The bathroom in my room was very well put together and felt polished.

The overall vibe of the room didn't work for me. It was simulated wood flooring which is horrible, no carpet around the bed... room felt awkward and cold, not warming and charming. The bathroom was excellent and the bed was ok, however the pillows were very thick and not very comfortable, however I do understand that is different for everyone. The reception when I arrived was not overly welcoming... they were very aggressive about upgrading my room, encouraging me to do so, which I did, but the upgrade was disappointing.

The staff was kind, welcoming, accommodating and always smiling. The breakfast spread was amazing. The location was perfect for sightseeing - 8 minutes from the train station and the Arlanda express, you could basically walk to any of the main attractions in the city. Beds were very comfortable, rooms spacious and decorated in a lovely art deco style.

The fabric on the bed had a few of what appeared to be blood stains, so I let reception know - they were apologetic and quickly moved me to another room. The room was overall clean but a bit dusty, which I find to be quite common though when staying in Swedish hotels for some reason. I had breakfast quite early (8-8:30 on a weekend) and the area was already starting to get quite crowded, so booking a table would be recommendable in my opinion. The hairdryer was one of those tiny ones. I spent hours drying my long hair - please consider having more powerful ones in a hotel of this caliber and price point.

We were initially given an unsuitable room that wasn’t what we had booked. The reception staff were very helpful and moved us immediately.

Good location for a few days in Stockholm.

For the price you pay you would expect daily cleaning of the room (you can request it but it's not automatically done). I fully agree that it is not necessary to change bed linen, towels etc but think it would be nice with a quick clean. Breakfast was a bit basic.

Location was phenomenal and staff was accommodating. I needed a fan and they had one brought up to my room.

I had the single room without windows and it still was gorgeous, with great shower. The bed and those pillows were the best ever.

It wasn't very clean. There were spots everywhere. The bed was clean and I just got a free and very welcome early check in from the lovely lady so I didn't feel like complaining. Also the breakfast was nice, but not 30 eurp nice.

Brilliant location close to everything. Great breakfast, bar and extremely helpful reception staff. We arrived early and one room was not ready so they changed one room to allow a slightly earlier check in. Rooms were big and overlooking the square

Fantastic central location, breakfast buffet was excellent lots of choice that covered everybody's needs. Sunday market on the square outside the hotel was worth a visit.
