Hotel Frantz, Stockholm

Great location, in Stockholm’s coolest neighbourhood. The breakfast is extraordinary, possibly the best we ever had.

The standard room is quite small, the bathroom in particular in quite a squeeze. Probably worth going for the deluxe room if you can.

Spotless room with high end furnishings in super location. Delicious breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. They even provided a breakfast to-go bag for us when we had to leave for the airport early on our last morning!

Small room, but loved the efficient use of space.

A true hidden gem…quirky and tasteful decor, clean, comfortable…just what we like. A few steps to the subway made it so convenient because in one stop, we were in the old town. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the bar was cozy and fairly priced.

Nice boutique hotel in the south of Södermalm. Great neighbourhood with lots of bars, restaurants and great shopping. Walking distance to Gamla Stan’s old town. The subway is right in front of t of the hotel. There’s a nice restaurant in the hotel.

There are some gipsies in front of the hotel and some construction which makes the area a little unpleasant to walk through. On the first night we had s room facing the street and it was too noisy. We moved to another room facing the court which was perfect.

The breakfast is exceptional.

There was an unfortunate sewer smell for some reason which may have been caused by city work in the alley.

Perfect location - close to everything we wanted to see in Stockholm and great public transport. The bed was so comfy and the rooms were the largest we found in that price range. Included breakfast was a huge spread and delicious!

It was fine for us - but there is no elevator. So it's not handicap accessible and it's quite a climb. I'd request something on Floor 1.

The hotel had some really great charm and history to it. It’s been wonderfully renovated and updated. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. There is no elevator on site but we didn’t mind. The breakfast was outstanding !

The location was a bit odd - kind of in a grundgy area but overall decently central and right close to the Slussen Transit station.

The room was well laid out albeit a little small. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff was very friendly. The intention was to stay in Sodermalm but being able to access the rest of the city as well. It was extremely conveniently positioned. And surprisingly very quiet too!

The beds were a little too big for the room and initially it felt a little claustrophobic for 2 people. The chair in the room is way too heavy and large. The possibility of packing 2 suitcases at the same time would be helpful.

Comfortable, charming and clean boutique hotel. It was perfect for our family of 4 and the breakfast was exceptional. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of space in the family room (with bunks). You have to haul your luggage up the stairs, but they are not steep and they are solid.

Not really any dislikes! Our driver had a hard time finding it, but it was midnight and he was unfamiliar. Not a big deal, the hotel staff were very welcoming and got us situated quickly.

Breakfast fantastic. Location excellent. We had stayed the previous week in a smaller room so it was great to have the bigger room on the second visit.

Everything was amazing - gorgeous property, delicious (and beautiful) breakfast, kind and accommodating staff, soft bed, and perfect location! 10/10 experience!

Not a dislike, just a thing to note when making a reservation- there is no elevator, only stairs.

Born and bred in Stockholm but currently living abroad, this is my favourite hotel when visiting my former hometown. Hotel Frantz has everything you can wish for: great location close to public transport, cosy and very comfortable rooms, an amazing breakfast, extremely friendly and accommodating staff.

Breakfast delicious and varied

We requested breakfast to take away as we were leaving early. The helpful lady on reception took all the details and arranged this for us but it did not happen. We had to quickly grab a bread roll and run to catch our train

This hotel was one of the best for our honeymoon (LGBT couple). The staff were extremely polite, carried up our (super heavy) suitcases and were genuine in all our interactions. The hotel is perfectly located, has history and has beautiful rooms. The room was clean, large and had many cute things. Breakfast was excellent and one of the better ones on our trip.

The only bad thing was that the water pressure was very low in our room on the third floor.

A lot on display for breakfast, delicious bits, creative and healthy choices. The architecture and the way this old hotel has been cleverly renovated made me happy. Only high quality choices had been made for the decor.

The location, staff, and breakfast were all amazing.

Rooms could be a little quieter. But not bad for the central location.

Location, staff, EXCELLENT FOOD.

Room is TERRIBLY SMALL. Shower is really diminutive…..the water temperature and flow is set: cannot adjust it to your preference. The room REALLY needs to be bigger, for a 4 star boutique hotel. Plus, no elevator: had to carry my heavy bag up 3 flights of stairs.

The whole place was really great, the staff were nice and welcoming, the breakfast was wonderful and diverse. The hotel is located in an old building that has been renovated in a careful way.

Exceptional design and location, very attentive and helpful staff. The room had a super view, we loved everything!

Maybe more storage space in the bathroom for small bags (a small stool under the sink can be an easy fix).

Staff were very nice, polite and helpful. Breakfast was great, with lots on offer. The bar was very cosy.

The Hotel was perfectly situated close to a tube station and a shopping street. The staff was great and the beds super comfy. I got a free room upgrade which was amazing.

I had a dinner a the hotel and was really awesome !!! I strongly recommend to try the restaurant! Breakfast was also something super good

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Frantz. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice. The room was pretty large and was super clean with everything you could need. Location was perfect. We would definitely stay here whenever back in Stockholm. Thanks for everything x

Nothing it was perfect

As returning guests, we absolutely love staying at this hotel! The team go above and beyond to make your stay extra comfortable and special. The hotel is centrally located, within very close walking distance to the metro and all shops and restaurants. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the rooms have great, small details added. It is by far the best breakfast spread we've ever seen at any hotel! We look forward to returning again soon.

The rooms are on the smaller side but that is standard to hotels in Europe / Scandinavia.

Honestly, I only have positive review for this place. Great staff, comfortable and beautiful hotel, stunning and delicious breakfast. And the location is fantastic, central and convenient. Looking forward to be back!

Beautiful old hotel (the building dates from 1647) in a great location virtually adjacent to Slussen Metro station and on the edge of both Gamla Stan (the old town ) and Södermalm which has great shops, bars and restaurants right round the corner. Delicious breakfast in the restaurant and a cosy bar in the hotel itself. Very friendly and helpful staff who were always cheerful.

It’s true that the rooms are quite small by virtue if the building’s age I suppose.

It was classy & luxurious with excellent beds & a lovely bar & restaurant.

This is the 3rd time is stay at Hotel Frantz and it never disappoints, the bed is extremely comfortable and the breakfast is great.

lovely stylish hotel, you can feel the history. Staff very kind and attentive. Room relatively small but complete. Breakfast, apart from the eggs, very complete.

the bed was a bit too soft for my taste. There's no elevators, so in my case 4 floors up the stairs. Fried eggs cannot be freshly prepared whereas this would be common in 4stars.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great place to explore Stockholm from, a comfortable room, bar and restaurant great place for us to relax with a drink. Would highly recommend was great for our short trip.

The perfect mix of an old, preserved, historical building with all the amenities you'd expect from a great hotel. Amazing staff. Mindblowing breakfast. Wonderful rooms and the beds are like sleeping on clouds. Absolute recommendation without any negatives.

Lovely hotel in the new side of Stockholm, with vintage rooms. The staff were highly welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was super nice The family room although small in size, was cute and accomodating

The room was missing many amenities from tissues to a closet to cups & glasses. We had a bit of a situation with the heater in the kids room that made it a bit cold.

Very welcoming and cosy, and I loved the breakfast.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Building work outside started at 5am but I was awake then anyway!!

I stayed there for 2 nights and was very satisfied & positively surprised about this nice hotel! The Frantz Hotel is very centrally located (metro station / Slussen = right away, and just 2 stops to main station „T-Centralen“). The hotel staff is very friendly (from lobby, to waitress, bar keeper, chef cook, etc.); all of them tried to make your stay as best as possible. :) Thanks again! And the foooood, was lovely! I had breakfast included (great choice, very good quality, delicious, fresh, creative). And I enjoyed also 1 dinner at the Frantz Restaurant (recommended to reserve a table!): all of it was lovely / super delicious and worth every €/Swedish Krone. ;)

Only one little recommendation for the hotel would be to add coffee/tea ~machine and a bottle of water in your beautiful rooms.

Everything great. Managed a change of room on my request without problem. Also got an upgrade. Wonderful staff.
