Opened in 1996, this 32-story luxury playground was dreamed up by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Kevin Roche. He cleverly elevated the entire hotel structure 15 meters (about 49 feet) off the ground, giving arriving guests a dramatic, framed view of the bay right from the main driveway.
Step inside, and you’ll quickly realize it feels more like a world-class museum than a lobby. The hotel houses a massive 4,200-piece contemporary art collection, featuring heavy hitters like Andy Warhol, David Hockney, and Dale Chihuly. Look up at the atrium ceiling and you can’t miss Frank Stella’s Cornucopia, a massive fiberglass sculpture suspended over visitors.
The building’s design heavily incorporates feng shui—the ancient practice of balancing energy. This is exactly why the property is famous for its massive, geometric octagonal windows. Because the number eight represents good fortune and abundance in Chinese culture, these windows were specifically engineered to bring good vibes into the space.

Highly recommend for an amazing stay.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ritz. It is a beautiful property and the staff were very attentive. The harbor view was amazing! The breakfast was impressive with a huge selection of hot and cold items. Location is perfect for exploring on foot!
There is construction across the steet. It did not impair our view of the harbor and it did not wake us in the early hours. But it is not scenic!
The Ritz is expensive, but you know that when you make the selection.

Huge varied breakfast selection. Little touches that are typical of staying in a luxury hotel that just feel nice. Nice outside pool.
I’m female and I was never greeted and acknowledged at breakfast etc, staff always just greeted my boyfriend saying ‘good morning sir’ etc, even at check in they literally spoke just to my boyfriend and directed all conversation to him even though I was the one who had booked and was paying for the hotel!!! I’ve never experienced that in other hotels or restaurants etc in Singapore.
The hotel’s also a little tired, needs a bit of a refresh.

The staff were all lovely - really polite, friendly and quick to help. The views from the room are great and the rooms were generous in size. A special mention for the breakfast - one of the best spread I have seen with lots of variety. This hotel's level of hospitality is the best I have received.

Perfect way to end a holiday.
The rooms were immaculate, from a very comfy bed to an exceptional bath and lovely facilities, everything lived up to expectations.
Additionally, the staff, particularly Arya and Erna at the front desk and Pablo and Prink from housekeeping were incredibly thoughtful, leaving a present and handwritten note that was a very lovely personal touch.
