Waldorf Astoria on The Bund, Shanghai

The stay was incredible, thanks both to the hotel facilities and, above all, to the concierge service, which was always there to help me whenever I needed it. A classic breakfast with plenty of Western and Chinese options. The restaurant served delicious food. A fantastic room with a breathtaking view of the Pudong skyline.

The long bar is excellent with impeccable service. The Breakfast buffet has a great variety from Asian to western food and a nice patio as well. The majority of the stuff speak very good English and are eager to make the guest feel at home

The main Chinese restaurant was expensive and the menu wasn’t great. Not our best experience in Shanghai.

Huge rooms and bathrooms, excellent location and the breakfast buffet was phenomenal. Would definitely stay here again when I am in Shanghai.

The pillows are on the harder side, even when ordering the pillow selection was also on the harder end, no soft pillows.

There was a conference nearby the hotel and the hotel didn’t inform us about it and we got late to the airport since the cars couldn’t get through, I couldn’t do my tax refund and lost more than a thousand dollar. The staff in the breakfast smiling only to European and Asians, first I thought this was their usual attitude and culture then when I saw their smile faces to others I realize that Arabs are not welcome. The toilet in the lobby was small and horrible. People from outside the hotel using it.

I stayed @ Waldorf on the Bund for 4 nights for work. The room is extremely clean and comfortable. I also want to take this opportunity to say thank you to Aaron Lu which works at custom services. He made me feel safe and secure. He ran miles to pick me up in the middle of nowhere when the taxi driver dumped me on the street. Fixed my nails when I am too busy to do so. Bring me drinks and ran all my errands while I am busy rush from meetings to meetings. The level of his professionalism and care I received is absolutely incredible. He made my stay with Waldorf very enjoyable and memorable. Thank you. :) I will definitely coming back to stay next time I am in town.

Hotel location is superb. Breakfast buffet had variety of food options and very prompt service. We used the swimming pool, sauna and steam, all was outstanding.

What an amazing experience this hotel. The moment you walk into the hotel, it gives you a warm luxurious welcome. The staff is extremely helpful and they all speak very good English which is rare in China. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and the bathroom very large and comfortable. Housekeeping staff is very helpful. The location is the best, right on The Bund. This hotel exceeded our expectations and if we will return to Shanghai, we will stay at this amazing hotel again.

The location. The bed room and bathroom was amazing. Remote control of the room was very nice. The hotel public areas are marble and historic.

The room had a nail in the floor that was not covered and needed to be fixed. While the room was impressive, when looking very carefully the room was not modern in terms of refined finishing in certain areas (wardrobe lighing, etc. The pool staff were very direct and seem overbearing. Somewhat too direct and can be seen as a little rude. The pool was fine.

Jupert, the assistant manager for the Long Bar, was the best part of this hotel! He really made us feel welcomed to the hotel and we had a lovely time at the bar.

Simply exceptional in every way. Superb staff, hotel and location. Couldn’t have been any better. We loved this Hotel.

Every thing was perfect

We had a room with a view of the Bund and every evening we were able to sit with a cup of tea and watch the light show. We really enjoyed the Long Bar in the hotel and the bar manager went out of his way to make our experience a delight. He also gave us very good advice on places to visit and wonderful restaurant's within walking distance of the hotel. The old world charm of the original building was truly special.

Really nothing about the hotel but Shanghai can be a challenge for Wetern travellers due to restrictions on internet etc.

The hotel amenities were amazing.

, breakfast was boring.especially if you stay for more than 2 days. The same food was served every day with few options of western food. I suggest to reconsider the breakfast menus. The image of the hotel in the advertise t should be honest. Its not straight on the bind its in the back of the historical building.

Beautifully decorated and located right opposite the bund. Great breakfast buffet and delicious dinner buffet too. They use Aesop as amenities and Lindt chocolate on the bed before bedtime.

It was a wonderful stay at the Waldorf Astoria, the staff were kind, attentive and their service is exceptional. The location is also great, walkable distance to tourist attractions such as Yuyuan and East Nanjing Road. Would definitely stay there again if we were to visit Shanghai in the future

Excellant position on the Bund, best view ever from our room!! Very comfortable room and large choice for breakfast. Only the additional food in the hotel is relatively expensive, better find a restaurant or tea-room in the surrounding.

The reception did not do the exchange for us because we were Iranian .
