W Hotel The Bund, Shanghai

Had an amazing night stay in a Fabulous room overlooking the incredible Shanghai skyline. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Alex the Guest Experience Manger greeted us on arrival and really made us feel welcome. The whole team really did their best to make it a wonderful stay and of all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Shanghai it was the staff that really went above and beyond compared to other properties. 5 stars!

The architecture was amazing! We stayed in a room (not even the top range) with nearly 180-degree view. The food and location were also superb.

The pools looked much larger in the pictures.

The service was so exceptional, and the staffs were nice to give us a free upgrade for our room because we could not check-in at our desired time. The spacious room had a great view with a very comfortable bed, and I could not ask for a better room. The breakfast also had a great variety with such good pastry. They also allow you to take the food outside the restaurant, which allowed us to take some of our favorite pastries home. The stay was exceptional and was worth every single penny.

Great view! Good vibes by the pool, great buffet breakfast and lots of restaurants nearby. We live in the city, so it's a great escape in the summer time and a novelty to have a pool with a view.

Our air conditioning wasn't the coolest.

The view in my king corner room was exceptional. I particularly liked the bathroom, as well, because the bathtub was long enough for my tall body, there were carpets in the bathroom, and the products smelled wonderful. A few other things I appreciated were the Bluetooth speakers, wine glasses, several bottles of water, and magazines to peruse. One last thing that I loved was the breakfast! I could even take some bakery items to go!

Windows were very dirty so we couldn't see much of the stunning view, Unfriendly staff, we had to wait to be seated and they chose the place to sit even if it's half full dinning area.

The hotel is pretty and the room are very clean.

It’s such disappointment stay in W Shanghai! First of all, the concierge service was extremely BAD!!! I mean I’m the guest staying in your hotel and they were treat me like I’m one of their teammates? They were just so rude and missed up the take-out delivery EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! Secondly, the elevator was HORRIBLE! Can you imagine staying in a five-star hotel waiting elevator to get to your room for like 10 minutes? I would really like to ask did your employees study HOTEL MANAGEMENT well while they were in University? It’s shouldn’t be what a five-star hotel serves like and your concierge management should really be improved to their skills. It’s just not worth the money! Won’t come again.

The breakfast was surprisingly poor- not enough variety- too many Chinese dishes in a western brand hotel. Maybe because your clientele is now predominantly Chinese.

The room we booked,cool corner room, wasn’t ready at 3pm - no apology from receptionist-,and we were told we’d get a better room but in fact we were given a smaller room , the cozy room instead for the same price. Not an upgrade at all! This was changed immediately when we realised later on. To be fair, the other reception staff were very polite and helpful.

The pool water was a bit cold both for the indoor and outdoor.
