“Atop a cliff at the end of a rocky track on Sardinia’s southernmost tip, a working lighthouse dating from 1856 contains this unusual hotel—a self-described “door suspended between the sky and the sea”—where it’s easy to switch off and tune out amid luxurious surroundings. It’s small and select, but still has space for lounges and a library, all blending vintage furnishings with elegant modern pieces.”

An amazing place with a spectacular view
The location and view is unique. The hotel is very charming and relaxed. Everybody who works at the hotel is superfriendly. If you go to south-sardinia this is the place to stay!

unique location nothing else
The property is fantastic if you are looking for something unique
it is rated 5 star but they do not provide all the services you would expect from a 5star hotel. I expected the road to get there a bit bumpy being a lighthouse but it was extremely bumpy and you defo need a keep or a or a Range Rover

Beautiful location, disappointing service
Location was magnificent. Stunning views and walks along the coast and to a view point.
Towels provided were stained and had holes. Evening meal was set and exorbitantly priced at €100 pp (charged us €5 per bottle of water on top of this!) and the bread was stale. Many of the courses were not to our taste and we were very disappointed given the price. We also requested a small takeaway breakfast the day of our departure, 30 minutes before breakfast service started. This message was never passed on and we were left without breakfast. Although a wonderful location, there were many aspects of the service which in no way met 5 star standards.

Poor
It is quite a nice property thought there are several major disadvantages that might stop people from staying here. One is that it better be accessed on SUV low profile cars might find it not ale to get there especially in case of rain. Two the sound of wind won't let many people sleep and windows are not soundproof. Same for the walls - you could clearly follow the conversation in the next room + the floor are not covered (no carpet) so you could also hear your neighbours walking. Third is that the menu is pretty limited and there is nowhere to eat anywhere around. An forth , last but not least is pricing.
The place has a nice design and it is seen that it was properly renovated. The kitchen is good and stuff is really friendly. Though they are properly trained and speak good English, they can't do anything with all the issues listed above.

This was memorably wonderful stay!
Amazing secluded location with spectacular sea view and sunsets, courteous service, and top notch food. This is a wonderful getaway. The hotel is very beautiful and rooms tastefully decorated. You can hike through some rugged terrain to some secluded pebbly beaches or hike down the path the other direction to Cala Cipolla, a nice sandy beach. The pools are very nice as well. Servers were very polite and friendly, especially Andrea--we really enjoyed chatting with him! We also got some suggestions for other places to visit from another server/concierge, and they also helped us extend our stay and arrange laundry service. We really appreciated everyone being so accomodating.
We were unsure if we were going the right way as we were driving up, as the road was very rugged -- the email instructions could have been more helpful. Room amenities do not include iron & ironing board but we didn't need it in the end. No coffee/tea machine in room, but you can get coffee any time from the main hotel and enjoy the view. There might be room service available, but we didn't need to stay in the room as there was so much to see outside! The detached back building was lovely and secluded and came with its own pool, but next time we would love to stay in the main lighthouse building. If you're booking, make sure you pick a room in the building that's right for you.
