L’Hotel PortoBay, São Paulo

I loved the bedroom, the staff.. all of them are great and friendly!! The breakfast is the best!! I had “caju” for breakfast!! Brazil is Brazil!!

The pool. It wasn’t clean, but the water was warm and great. I didn’t receive much information about the spa either.

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay for a few nights. Convenient location in the heart of the city. The breakfast buffet had lots of great options.

For some reason the TV randomly turned on by itself at various times during the evening and morning but it was unclear why.

We loved our room and the staff.

The pool and spa were out of order, with a very basic gym.

The hotel is in an excellent location, the design of the building is compact which makes it quick and easy to move between the lobby, the gym, the breakfast room and the individual rooms. The room design is well thought-out, the beds are very comfortable, I like that it is possible to open the windows and the breakfast service is excellent with a great selection of fresh and cooked foods.

Nothing substantial to complain about. As a minor point I would prefer to have a gym that has windows that open.

Great hotel location right off Ave Paulista right in the center of SP. Staff was very professional & spoke english fluently, which is not so common in Brazil. Breakfast line-up was gorgeous, tons of items to choose from. It is an old charm property but very well maintained.

For some reason, WiFi kept cutting off, my room was on 12th floor but when in the lobby the connection was a lot more stable. After mentioning it to the front desk, they had their IT team re-boot the router but to no avail.

The pool and spa area requires some heat and renovation. The sauna controls looked broken and when I went to take a swim in the pool, there were no clean towels.

The staff are very helpful. The location is quite good, just a few steps from Paulista Avenue. It’s in an area where you feel safe. The breakfast is also quite varied.

I have staying at L’Hotel PortoBay São Paulo, off and on since 2011 and I have always enjoyed the experience. The hotel is manages with the utmost professionalism and the staff are friendly, well informed, and always “go the extra mile” for their guests. The location of the hotel, just off Avenida Paulista, is close to outstanding restaurants, cultural amenities, and public transportation. I will be back next year for sure, se Deus quiser.

We changed the room as we decided to stay one more night. The category was lower than first one and there was no Nespreso and steam iron. It’s a five stars hotel, I think it’s not a big deal keep this kind of amenities in all rooms

The location of this hotel could not have been better for me. Less than one block to Paulista Avenue. There was a major shopping mall just a few minutes walk away. This shopping mall had restaurants if you don't feel like venturing out for dinner very far from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of selections including cooked to order eggs. I also appreciated the concierge who helped me with my bus ticket to Ilhabela. I recommend this hotel.

Everything. The pictures didn’t do it justice. It was a great location and they did an amazing job taking care of the property and keeping it updated. You got the historical vibe but the modern amenities, comfortable bed and linens, attentive service - everything was just great.

The only feedback is that the drainage was a little slow/blocked when showering.

Great hotel in an even better location, just off the iconic Paulista Avenue. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean and both the bar and restaurant are very welcoming serving a great breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. Definitely a good place to stay if you’re visiting São Paulo!

Staff was very kind and allowed for early check in. We travelled during carnival, and the location was perfect, next to the shopping mall on avenida Paulista.

Classic feel like an old hotel. Decor of rooms and spaces. Location at the literal top of Sao Paulo. Nice smell.

Bar not open all day. Extra and incidental charges not itemized on bill for easy review or at least not provided to me. Pool could use new liner.

We stayed for four nights and loved everything about the hotel – the location, facilities, cleanliness, and food. We will definitely stay again if we visit São Paulo. My husband had a birthday during our stay, and the staff surprised him with a super fresh and delicious cake. They set up the table and added a sparkling candle to make it even more special. We will never forget the hotel’s hospitality

It’s really hard to criticize anything as we truly enjoyed the hotel and everything around it. If I had to be pedantic, I would suggest adding some kind of mesh to cover the fresh buffet, as flies kept flying around, which made it unappealing. We ended up ordering a freshly cooked breakfast because of that.

Great staff! Helpful with all questions, very attentive to detail. Beautiful rooms. The hotel is in the center, you can quickly get everywhere by Uber.

This property is as good as described. Everything—the staff, the breakfast, the Japanese jacuzzis, the rooms—was exceptional. We felt incredibly safe and cared for, and the team went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. We ate at the bar twice and enjoyed the burrata and picanha. I highly recommend L'hotel and hope to return in the future.

Beautiful hotel. Well appointed and luxurious and in a great location. Staff were wonderful, all of them that felt like they had a genuine duty of care to ensure a pleasant stay and experience in SP. Communication was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very central location in SP and highly recommended.

This is not a hotel, it is home away from home! Facilities are great, staff are exceptional - from front of house to the restaurant staff. The location is central and although in the middle of the city, the noise levels were kept at a minimum to ensure a good night's rest. Room service was quick and painless.

The only thing I would like to mention is that the drains in the main bathroom did not allow for water to subside quickly, hence some showering in standing water. This can be fixed easily and quickly and did not take away from our excellent overall experience.

It’s a good location and staff member were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing and the hotel was clean and beautiful.

Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of São Paulo. Walking distance to major shops and attractions (depending what you want to see).
