Hotel Magnolia, Santiago de Chile

This was my third stay at the hotel and as always everything was wonderful. The service in particular is outstanding and the Terrace restaurant on the roof serves exceptional food.

It is in the center of the city though on a quiet part of a central street with no shopping. Inside it is modern, has all we needed including a high quality restaurant. The staff is very friendly and speaks fluent English. They arranged a car transfer from the airport.

The location is perfect - right next to Cerro Santa Lucia and Lastarria, with many bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were also brilliant - very friendly and willing to assist with anything. Particular thanks to Carlos who helped us with our bags. The room was very comfortable and clean and the rooftop bar is also nice.

The room is a little dark, which is an unfortunate and unavoidable consequence of the design of the hotel. Important to note we had a superior room and this would likely not be an issue for any rooms above that grade which had a balcony or were street facing, for example. Another minor point was that there was an overpowering smell of cheap air freshener in the breakfast room which was not pleasant. Other than that, the breakfast was a very good standard.

Spacious and comfortable rooms and a great rooftop bar!

The breakfast wasn’t really in keeping with the price tag, and while there were lots of staff, they were a bit inefficient.

New, contemporary design hotel in great location. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was clean, and in a safe neighborhood. The stay was delightful. The room was exceptional and large. Really fun rooftop bar, with excellent staff and great food and drinks. Highly recommend!

Its location was awesome and we walked to many places. Rooftop terrace restaurant a must visit views good Good tour desk Facilities very good including free drinks in liabrary for guests ( wish someone told me about this though). There is a bar and two restaurants. Breakfast buffet and off menu, champagne on offer at buffet.

There is a bit of noise from street.

A few things: the breakfast was not fresh and not much selections. The hotel was not so honest about the charge. 1. They convinced us to book the ride through them instead of Uber. Uber costs half. It ends up the ride is from Uber and required us to carry luggages to the parking garage to get the ride even it said from TransVIP company. The car is private. Carey the luggage to the garage downstairs was not fun at all. I suggest you use Uber. 2. They told us to pay US $ instead of local money because they said they will charge 19 percent more of the tax. But on the bill, it is in local currency. I think the US $ is so strong now, that is why they made up the story. I feel we could have book the US brand hotels which will be more honest to the US tourist. 3. They automatically include the tips on the bill saying it is 10 percent tips on the included dinner. And they claim the huge cost for the dinner. I am sure this is only toward the US tourists. I will not book this hotel again. Another thing is this hotel is in bad area, nothing good to look at or visit. You should look for the hotel in more safe and high ends area. It costs the same. By the way, we stayed there for two nights, one of the day has dinner included.

The room decor could have more love. I thought it was a bit basic. Also, it was a little noisy at night when I tried to sleep at night.

The Hotel Magnolia is a gorgeous boutique hotel set in a central location for touring the city. The roof top bar was beautiful and a must do.

This is a beautiful and elegant hotel located in walking distance to Plaza de Armas, La Moneda Palace, and several museums and other sites. The terrace has a nice view and excellent food. Everyone is friendly and we loved the library (with wine available also). We will certainly stay again if we return to Santiago!

we loved Magnolia! the facilities were amazing, the room was huge, and the value was truly outstanding. the breakfast alone was worth the stay, but we loved little touches like perpetual happy hour and dinner on the roof.

Hotel manager Yranis Linares was particularly helpful - he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We had a challenging situation with a scam car ride from the airport to the hotel, and Mr. Linares did an amazing job handling everything for us and ensuring we felt safe.

Loved the room spacious, quiet with outside deck. Many places to eat in the area within walking distance.

Gorgeous space, excellent breakfast options and the mini “open bar” for guests (in the library) was a great perk!

The hotel is located in a very convenient place. There’s restaurants and tourist place around. It’s a traditional building with beautiful architecture and elegant decors inside.

The attitude of some staffs is hard to say hospitality. It feels quite strict.

The room was quite dark

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room and bed was comfortable. And the outside of the building and entry with the staircase was charming.

To my taste, I didn’t like the mix of ultra modern with the charming old character of the building. I would have preferred if the updates were kept in the same style.

It is a lovely hotel, with very comfortable rooms.

The hotel seemed understaffed at breakfast our second day - they were struggling to resupply food and bring coffees. I’m guessing someone failed to show up.

The property is just stunning. The hotel itself is amazing…the decor throughout is really beautiful - modern and fresh but still with a classical feel. Our room was fantastic - very spacious and light and very well appointed throughout. The food in the hotel was excellent - the breakfast was fabulous and the food and drinks in the rooftop bar were also great. The rooftop bar has a great vibe - we spend a lot of time there enjoying the view and the great relaxing environment. The hotel is without a doubt spectacular - truly 5 star - but it’s their incredible people that really take it to the next level. Just to mention a few amazing team members - Agustin and Randi on the front desk, Matias, Edward, Fernando, Sebastian and Pedro in the restaurants, and Gabriel and Felipe on the door…but every staff member was friendly, personable, and incredibly helpful. Customer service overall at the hotel was exceptional.

We loved this modern, stylish hotel and really happy we chose to stay here. Our room was spacious and was far better than the pictures of it. The bathroom was also big and modern and clean. Really good breakfast and very attentive staff in the hotel. Great location too.

The place was just stunning, beautiful and with a tasteful decor, welcoming staff and a lovely rooftop. The bed was so comfortable and the shower amazing.

Box Lunch to go the sandwich was very dry. But they made a great effort preparing something for me, I had a really early flight. They could improve to a more delicious sandwich.

The Hotel Magnolia Santiago is a first class experience. The staff took such great care of me that I really felt like I was coming home when I stepped through the doors. The Rooftop Terrace is a wonderful experience and the food….SO good!! The location is perfect for seeing most of the things you’ll want to see and do. I was able to easily walk to many historical and fun places as well as many restaurants. I couldn’t have been happier with my Hotel choice.

Absolutely everything was perfect. From start to finish I was treated like a king, the staff were all Incredible helping with all kinds of things such as helping me book football tickets, valet parking etc etc. the hotel itself was fabulous as well.

A superb hotel, I couldn't really fault. Allowed a really early check in and really late check out without any questions and was a beautiful hotel. Lots and lots of breakfast options and it was in a great spot to walk everywhere I wanted to.

The hotel is boarding a neighborhood that felt unsafe for tourists. Walk a block one direction and there’s wonderful shops, restaurants and parks. Walk a block in the opposite direction and be very alert for theft.

Very beautiful property. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was spectacular.

The shower cubicle did not close all the way, so anyway taking a shower would wet all the bathroom, which was really annoying

The staff was fabulous. The breakfast was great. Dinner was delicious & they had a very talented singer on Friday night. The room was spotless. The TV had a million channels. There was a Nespresso machine and teapot.

Really well located for bars restaurants cafes and the Plaza de Armas. This hotel is so interesting , beautifully designed with nice spacious rooms . The staff are so friendly and helpful and really do everything possible to ensure you have a good stay. Breakfast is beautifully presented in an atrium style dining area . There is a lounge area to sit and browse an array of books with a free glass of fizz early evening. We enjoyed dinner on the roof terrace. When we had early starts the kitchen provided us with a packed breakfast and also organised pick up from the airport and back to the airport, as we used the hotel as abase between trips to Atacama Desert and Easter Island .

There is nothing to dislike or complain about. We’ve booked to stay here again in March 2025

Possibly would stay in a different part of the city if we return. Location is very convenient for “downtown” and many tourist sites but few restaurants close by.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Gym was also nice. And the Terrace restaurant has really good food and great cocktails. They were also kind enough to give me a late checkout, and helped with directions and activities.
