Everything: the staff, the location (half pedestrian street, close to the city centre, a park and a trendy neighbourhood), the hotel, the rooms, etc. I didn’t get to try the restaurant but must be equally delicious.

Rooms are modern and very clean, coffee bod machine and complimentary water is a good touch. Huge comfortable beds, staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. Great for tips on where to eat and get a good coffee close by. Breakfast has plenty of options too.

It is a classy, beautiful place. The room is spacious and clean. It’s in downtown and within walking distance to many attractions, supermarkets/stores and restaurants. Feeling safe in the area. We felt welcomed the moment we got off the cab front of the hotel. Breakfast was great - eggs are made to order and enough choices and variety to kick start the day. The staff were friendly. They spoke good English. Would definitely come again when visiting Santiago again

Gorgeous, recently renovated building with character. Beautiful, clean rooms. Free wine bar. We are so glad we stayed here. The service was impeccable and the breakfast was delicious. Located very centrally in a safe and bustling part of Santiago. When we told them we were leaving early (before breakfast), Raul had the kitchen make us breakfast to go. Don’t hesitate, stay at Hotel Magnolia.

Staff were amazing, they went above and beyond to answer questions and make our stay amazing. The property was lovely with great restaurants, vibey rooftop bar, and a moody library.

Lovely warm and friendly reception on arrival. Very cosy, quiet and intimate, lots of charm and style. Lovely breakfast room and delicious home style breakfast. Great location for walking into the old city and to arts area for bars and restaurants in the evening. Loved the rooftop bar as well!

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the middle of the city (which may not be for everyone). We had an awesome time in the old part of the building, beautifully renovated and tastefully appointed with unique and beautiful decor. Staff were brilliant and exceptionally helpful.

The only negative point could be location. We did not venture out during the evening/night, as it felt not quite conducive to exploring.

Classy yet cozy, perfect balance of style and comfort- walking distance to the historic centre and the beautiful Santa Lucia. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. Even packed me a beautiful brekkie as my flight was super early.

Excellent breakfast and the hotel is an amazing work of artistic archetecture. Would like to come back. Bellhop was really good. Was diligent with getting taxi and taking care of informing etc. Really did an outstanding job of customer service and follow through.

Front desk at night was inexperienced and failed to call back on our request for a billing question called about from room. Went to desk and she apologized for forgetting about calling back as she indicated she would.

Very clean and comfortable room with outstanding bed and linens. Excellent food. Very helpful staff. Allowed us an early morning checkin at 1/2 room rate, which was much appreciated after long international flight from California. Definitely would stay there again. Great location.

Restaurant service was a bit poor , kept us waiting half an hour for the dessert which never arrived!

Common areas were a bit smaller than I imagined from the pictures but tastefully decorated.

Front desk staff was amazing. Randi, Paul, actually all of the staff were terrific. Very helpful, friendly, polite, and extending. Even the doormen were great. Hotel has a sophisticated, boutique vibe. Very striking architectural details were prevalent throughout the property. Room and bed were very comfortable. No view at all, but plenty of exterior light. Bathroom was spacious and well stocked with plenty of fresh towels. Rooftop restaurant and bar were inviting and food was excellent. There was a complementary open bar in lobby area that was nice for grabbing a cordial on the way up to our room. Complimentary breakfast was served in a very comfy well decorated room. Lots of fresh choices and eggs to order. The Eggs Benedict were excellent.

No drawers in room but nice closets.

Lovely boutique hotel with hard working, friendly staff

At checkout despite having tourist exemption tax free the hotel still wanted to charge the tourist tax fee if we paid using a debit card. This was not expected or explained by them at any stage until checkout. Many other hotels did not charge this fee. Apparently the charge was passed on to the customer because we used bookings and did not book direct with the hotel. Yet if we paid by credit card we were exempt from the tourist tax. Very disappointing by the hotel to enforce the tourist tax fee when other hotels waved it for international travellers.

We particularly liked the rooftop patio and bar, where we had a very good dinner one evening. The breakfast buffet & service were also excellent in the mornings in the indoor restaurant space on the ground floor. The rooftop also proved to be an excellent place to retreat from the very hot (30C+) days for a late afternoon/early evening drink--typically a very refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail--before dinner elsewhere. In other respects the hotel lives up to its 5-start rating, and is very well located for many central city sites. But be aware that this area of downtown can be somewhat unsafe at night, or so we were warned by multiple locals, and the streets appeared relatively empty in the evenings. When traveling to several of the best Santiago restaurants that were typically not nearby we followed local advice and took Ubers without any problems.

Our only minor issue was that the lighting was rather dim in our room, and there were not enough hooks in the bathroom for toilet bags and robes. But these two issues seem to be true of many modern, upscale hotels.
