Hotel Zetta, San Francisco

Very welcoming, excellent vibe for a couples night out. Super clean!

- Clean Property - Decent Location - Comfortable bed

- Advertised as best hotel 2023 - Underwhelming over all, very cold feeling - Price/Value was not there - Staff was not knowledgeable about area, nor very interested/warm when prompted on anything rly, esp. ‘can’t be bothered’ recommendations. I believe the exact answer was to what are nice areas in SF “Go down the street”, when the Uber driver just had a long convo about avoiding the area where the hotel is at night…

The events team and housekeeping are very helpful and will go out of their way to do their best to meet your requests.

The customer service, particularly at the reception / front desk is appalling. Due to a conference in town they had upped their night rate significantly! as I'm sure all hotels do, but their customer service definitely doesnt match that rate. A simple request to ask for a drink from the bar in the evening only to be told that the bar isn't open on that evening, or after a private function in the lobby ending at 8pm, expecting the bar to be open to the hotel guests and again being told that they would not re-open the bar after the private function is (in my opinion) unacceptable. The lounge area also doesn't really allow for business interactions.

The fact that they had games and a pool table in the reception.

The room was not the one that we booked. Looked old and worn. The location of the Hotel was a bit scary as very close to Tenderloin district. Valet parking: the driver seat was always in a different position when we got the car and we had the feeling that the car was used for a drive by the valet.

Paris was great, He was super friendly and helpful!

The shower had almost no pressure. It was like someone gently laying dental floss on me. The shower felt more like a suggestion. It was so weak It took 30min to rinse the shampoo out of my hair and I don't have that much hair.

AMAAZING location, valet (car was safe for overnight parking in a lot), room service connected to restaurant, bar, and has TWO pool tables!

This property does not match the picture the rooms are not nearly as nice, very beat up and dumpy reminded me more of a motel

Games area with pool table etc was terrific. Short walk to cable car depot so very easy to get around to see the sights. Some of the front desk staff were very helpful (but some not).

We stayed on a weekend after a long-haul flight ... the people in the room next door were very loud and inebriated and repeatedly tried to access our room via the adjoining door throughout the night. This is frightening when you are jetlagged and travelling with children.

The stay was good but they have overcharged me. Have sent several emails asking for clarification, they never reply at all. Very disappointing !!

Very welcoming team

Very clean and looks really nice inside. It is also very central. Shoutout to Paris for making the stay 100x better and helping us throughout our stay.

Near the property, there was quite a bit of homeless around.

Fun property with lots of great visuals, the playroom was a lot of fun. One of the staff members was exceptionally helpful and kind, big thank you to Paris at the front desk.

I found every other staff member (other than Paris and one security guard) to be a bit unapproachable and borderline rude.

It’s a great location if you want to be centrally located without needing a car but SOMA can be a little dirty. I felt happy and safe here.

Great size room, very confortable bed, nice sheets, well appointed bathroom. funky modern interior and feel to the hotel.

I dont watch TV but the free view option had very bad reception which seems to be standerd all over the states from my experience. Just a note but didnt impact on my stay.

My disabled person placard was missing out of our vehicle after we received it back from the hotel valet. Shower stall was moldy. Disabled person shower stall seat was also dirty on the bottom under the slats. The shower also leaked all over bathroom floor.

Very kid friendly! 14 year old son loved it! The game floor was a hit! The hotel had 2 pool tables 2pinball machines and shuffle board. O yes and a large pegboard wall game. The points were on the first floor and the balls were dropped from the second floor. Wish we were there longer. So much more we wanted to try!

The only negative thing is Someone else had left food in my refrigerator. When I called staff they were VERY accommodating. With in minutes they were there to clean in up.

The lack of upfrontness about parking- was not told the cost up front and was charged at checkout 65 dollars for parking. The agent at the desk alluded to me being a liar when I said I wasn’t informed there would be a charge for the parking

The first room we stayed in was fine but there was no shower mat and there was no bag for the ice bin. We decided to stay another night but our room wasn’t available. Not the hotels fault. We moved to another room but this floor didnt have an ice machine on it so i had to go to a different floor. Or maybe i just couldnt find it. User error. Maybe. But this room smelled like BO in one corner. I dont know what it was but there was just an odor coming from somewhere.

Some of the staff displayed rudeness during our stay. Additionally, there were issues with our room being prematurely checked out, which the front desk employee initially questioned. Moreover, our card keys malfunctioned on three separate occasions. The staff member on duty at the time insisted it was our fault, despite the keys allowing us access to the elevator, clearly indicating an issue on their end. This experience has left me with no intention of returning, and I cannot recommend this place to others.

We arrived at the hotel after 8pm and the front desk said I didn't have a reservation. He declined to tell me what the computer said but he instead asked me for proof of reservation. Night front desk person could use some custom service training. I showed him my email with a confirmation number and he said it would be a while but he'd solve it. I had emailed the property a couple weeks earlier informing them we were staying for our anniversary and we're told "Thank you for choosing to celebrate with us. We will notate your request on your reservation." Which the front desk person knew nothing about. On top of that we charged an additional $35 day fee for services we did not and had no intention of using. I was excited for but left underwhelmed with our stay. On the bright side the room was clean and comfortable.

Very nice hotel with exceptional location, perfect for attending exhibitions at Moscone center. Room comfortable and clean.

There is no breakfast option in the morning. The price of some services is quite high.

Room was nice and spacious. Great desk space. Staff was wonderful, accommodating, and welcoming. They were responsive and helpful too. We got 2 adjoining rooms so that was great too!

View was of an alleyway with homeless people shooting up so... that wasn't so great but obviously not their fault. SF in general is not a safe city so that's not unique to this hotel. Not a fan of extra "amenity fees" for services/products that you have to actively ask for, but that's common with many hotels.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this hotel. It is very modern and has plentiful amenities. I enjoyed the breakfast every morning even if it was not much, it was enough to get our day started. Staff was very helpful too.

Parking is very difficult if you have your own rental car, so you are basically forced to get Valet if you want to have an easier time, but unfortunately you can only take it until 11 pm which limited us somewhat.

It was clean.

Depressing view of alley and homeless people. Room was not ventilated and felt claustrophobic. It was too warm. No game room as advertised. Cars were delivered in 15 minutes as suggested. Not real warmth. Staff seemed annoyed generally.

Great location downtown. The room was a nice size and fairly quiet.

Nice big windows. Location was good in term of proximity to shopping and cable cars. Bed was comfortable.

Sometimes Alexa didn't do what we asked. That needs a little tweaking. And there was no full-length mirror in the room which is important for me and my daughter. we had to go to the hallway to see ourselves.

The hotel is located near many attractions and right on the BART line which is great for getting around town and to SFO airport! The rooms were comfortable with soft beds. I especially liked the walk-in shower! Staff was warm and friendly and always willing to help. Great stay!

Due mostly to COVID they didn't have much to offer for breakfast but there are a number of places nearby to grab a bite to eat.

Great decor, security and staff was very friendly. Needed a place close to SF Theater district that we felt safe and valet parking. ZETTA met all our needs!

Prices were a little high for weekend we went, I think there was a special event going on that we didn't know about.

The location was convenient for getting around San Francisco. The room size and cleanliness was good. The design was funky which we enjoyed.

It's so sad to see San Francisco on its knees with filthy streets and so many people having to sleep rough. It's not the city we remember. The hotel was like Fort Knox with locked front doors that you had to ring a bell for and wait to be let in - not just this hotel - they all seemed to be like this. The hotel is in what used to be a really good area, but it seems that all Downtown San Francisco has sunk to a new low.
