D.O.M. Hotel, Rome

Staff are fantastic, very friendly with excellent English but happy for you to try your broken Italian if you want. I wish I had written down the names of the staff so I could thank them by name in this review as they deserve it. They also gave us great suggestions for local restaurants. The rooftop restaurant Verve is brilliant. We had an amazing 6 course degustation meal there and I highly recommend you try it. Hotel is on a quiet street, and rooms are whisper quiet yet walking distance to the Centro and also the Trastevere to eat at night (which I highly recommend). I would also mention the hotel very thoughtfully advised me of a transportation strike the day of my departure and organised a taxi for me. That is excellent service as I wouldn't have known otherwise. Finally, I had room 24 which has a private terrace. It was amazing, and if you are happy to splurge a little, it is well worth it. Had friends over for drinks as the sun set over the Rome rooftops and created some brilliant memories.

Water pressure and temperature of the shower could be upped a little. Lift wasn't working when I was there, but I didn't mind using the stairs at all as the hotel ambience is so nice. Any bags or heavier items were gladly taken care of by the staff.

The staff were amazing, they were friendly and so helpful when our flight was delayed by 16 hours.

The hotel had a lovely feel about it. Our room was lovely with a large terrace, so we took advantage and had room service breakfasts in the open air. The Verve Restaurant was also very nice, we ate there twice on our stay.

Location was incredible and the hotel had such a nice feel to it, without being out of the action it was quiet and peaceful

Cosy, centrally located hotel with excellent staff. Was a combination of rustic, quirky and modern. Loved that the Junior Suite had a second bathroom. Beautiful decoration on the ceiling.

It was off season so the Terrace Restaurant was closed. The bar was empty too. There is a government building opposite so be prepared to see the military standing outside.

The room was decadent while also comfortable. We found ourselves wanting to lounge in the romantic feel of it during aperitif rather than battle the crowds. The staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is perfect for restaurants and shopping and tourist attractions. Staff make you feel very welcome from the moment you check in. Everyone is so friendly. Rooms are beautiful and very comfy. The breakfast is so fresh and lots of it is home made. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely be revisiting.

This is a small five star boutique hotel in the old part of Rome. It is a converted palace and many of the original features have been kept. It has tremendous character.
It had a cosy bar and fantastic restaurant (my partner says it was the best food he has ever tasted!) and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The bedroom was large and spacious and the bathroom contemporary and generous.
While it is within the walls it is not in a traditional touristy area and the life of the locals goes on around you.

Lovely continental breakfast with eggs available to order. Large comfortable room. Quiet, safe area with local bars, cafes and restaurants. Easy walk to Piazza Navona and walkable to major tourist sites. Very helpful staff on reception.

Rooftop bar was in use as a restaurant so it was disappointing not to be able to have a roof top cocktail in the evening before going out for dinner.

It’s was very well situated in a quiet street. The roof top bar was lovely. Rooms were comfortable and towels etc changed every day. Staff were delightful. Breakfast excellent.

Location is excellent. In the middle of centro storico, but on a quiet street. Very close to excellent restaurants, cafes and gelaterias. The rooms are very clean and well taken care of. Apart from normal room servicing, there is also turn down service, which is rare these days.

It is on the expensive side, but considering its location. It is well worth it. We chose not to do with the included breakfast as that is 25E per person. You can get great coffee and pastries nearby for a fraction of the cost.

We loved the location and the close parking. A short walk to Campo Di Fiori. Breakfast was great. Special thanks to Ricardo for helping with all our requests.
