The “Hilton” name is misleading and we expect much more, hotel is old. The only good thing is the nice view on the rooftop which you can spot the Christ the Redeemer from a distance.

Electric adapters are located very low close to the floor, hard to charge phones and the water kettle has to be placed on the floor to get water boiled. Door of wardrobe doesn’t close properly thus lights are turned on all night long.

We just spent 9 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location to reach the city’s sites, restaurants, bars and night life. Excellent breakfast buffet. Good gym for both weight and cardio training. Lovely, scenic rooftop pool and sun loungers. Our room was very comfortable with a good bed. Spectacular views over Botafogo Bay and the Sugarloaf. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Yan on reception and Davi at breakfast. We certainly recommend this hotel.

Great spot, great view, amazing staff (all of them), great breakfast, beautiful rooftop, great gym, the room service was excellent, the room clean and cosy, we stayed for 10 days and really felt like home.

Great location in Botafogo with easy access to broader Rio with the metro nearby. Staff were lovely throughout, and breakfast was of a great quality with numerous options. Rooms were very comfortable and I felt lucky having a view of Christ the Redeemer from the bathroom! The rooftop facilities and restaurant were also lovely. Very much enjoyed the stay.

Excellent location, the staff were very professional but also kind and warm. The breakfast buffet was very good, with plenty of options. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

Slow check-in. Badly run/organised breakfast area. Poor lighting in room. Atrocious roof-top bar service on Monday 2nd December.

It was ok.

No cleaning the room until mid afternoon. No roomservice at 3pm. At the restaurant, at 3pm, 2 staff members and no service, I had to get the menu myself and wait 30 minutes for them to take my order (I was the only person there).

Excellent service, delicious food at breakfast and in the restaurant, personalized attitude from the entire service staff, very accommodating in organizing excursions. I definitely recommend using the excursion offered by the hotel in cooperation with rioterratour, positive and emotional memories are guaranteed. Thank you for one of the best holidays ever, Zane

The value for money is not compatible. Minuscule rooms with old furniture and average service.

The best hotel stay ever. Loved this trip. Bedroom, bathroom was exceptional with amazing views. Breakfast and breakfast staff were incredible. The best vegan breakfast.

Rooftop view was amazing, location was great.

I requested rooms next to eachother a month before and it was not done. Pool on rooftop is great but water ice cold. Not a property for families with small children.

Room modern and super clean. All the staff really friendly and helpful. Pool area on the roof is nice with great views and we always managed to get a seat up there even though there aren’t many of them. Not a great deal of bars/restaurants near the hotel itself but Ubers were very cheap to travel round wherever we wanted to.

Poor mattress. Breakfast need to improve, every day we tasted rotten juices which was terrible. Some nice touches for NYE but overall we did not have a good experience.

The staff weren't all that friendly or accommodating (it may be a language barrier - we were English!) Getting a cup of coffee at breakfast was a bit challenging some days ... Wish it was free to serve rather than waiting for the waiter even when it wasnt busy. Room wasn't made up one day. The whole experience was fine but overpriced for what it was.

The hotel was very safe and comfortable and views from the rooftop were amazing—maybe some of the best in Rio.

The price wasn’t quite inline with what was expected for a 5 star hotel. It would probably have been possible to find something comparable for quite a bit less (if you’re willing to give up the views).

The hotel staff are very kind and helpful. When I ordered food from other restaurants, they brought the food to my room at no extra charge. The view from the rooftop is wonderful. The breakfast is tasty, although not very varied. The bed is comfortable, with very soft pillows. The air conditioning is efficient and not too noisy. The shower is great! In the medium value room I stayed in, the soap and shampoo was Granado, but the conditioner was a generic brand.

The chair available in the room is not comfortable for overweight people like me. I needed to work and asked for an alternative, but they said there was none and did not look for a solution for this. All the chairs in the co-working are the same as the uncomfortable one in the bedroom. My sheet got dirty, and they made the bed with the dirty sheet. Soy sauce leaked from a garbage bag on the floor. They removed the trash, but left the floor dirty. On the last day, they did not replace the shampoo, conditioner, or bath towel. The rooftop bar crowd competes with the hotel guests for the elevator and it can take up to 10 minutes to get to your room. I used to stay at this hotel in a more expensive room, however, this time I needed to stay in a cheaper room and it was a disappointment. I have to go to Rio every month, but now I will no longer stay at this hotel.

Room smaller than I expected, I wish some more variety in breakfast, missing toilet shower. The location is less than ideal, at night time is not recommended to walk around.

We had a business trip to Rio (that is always a pleasure), and we chose this hotel as our partner's office was located in the Botafogo neighborhood. This hotel was a very clean, well designed place with amazing views on the bay. The rooftop bar is amazing, the rooms were ok, and the breakfast was very delicious, the offering was quite convincing.

We came with a rented car, and it was a totally random opportunity that we could park in front of the hotel. The WiFi occasionally went away. Otherwise everything was fine.

Rooftop bar has a great view - simply stunning - you can see everything you need in Rio! :-) It also has great selection of drinks, food (amazing burger! :-) and pleasant service/staff. Breakfast varies daily (which is appreciated if you stay longer than 1-2 days (like it was in our case). Thank you for making our stay memorable and for all the help throughout our stay. Surely be back next time we're travelling to Rio.

Slightly overpriced, for longer stays not worth it since there are plenty other alternatives around. But Botafogo area we really like, therefore it's up to you - whether you wanna stay where all the tourists staying, or rather choose something different and alternative - like amazing area of Botafogo. If so, then there is a price to be paid.

The interior design of the hotel has lots of details and the rooms were comfortable. We had a room with a portion of the room looking at sugarloaf mountain which was nice. The rooftop bar and pool area has a great view.

The internet wasn't so fast, but this is similar to most hotels in Rio so it was to be expected. Compared to the more famous Ipanema beach areas there are less things to do within walking distance.
