Close to the beach, good breakfast that starts at 6am, late check out at 12 noon

Our room was right infront of the cleaning staff storage area. We could hear staff chatter throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper suggest that you ask for a quiet room.

Oh my god what a disgrace of a place! In a good location but the management needs to change ASAP!

Never informed us before arrival that the restaurant was not working! Which meant no coffee no breakfast no room service no lunch no dinner option!!!! We were on our honeymoon and had to rush off to get coffee from a hotel we were paying more than 150 euros per night! And the best part … they offered breakfast in a supermarket on top of the meat and fish hall… 🤢 gross!!! The staff can be rude … the sheets were never changed in our 6 day stay!! What a disaster!!! And in the end they made a mistake with our mini-bar ( 23 euro bill mind you..) and sent me emails to pay them after having spend 900 euros for accomodation.. and never getting a refund for the days we had to go out to the supermarket to eat breakfast ( which of course we refused to do..)So pety… its people who make the difference and the management of this place needs to change ASAP!!!

The location and the very kind receptionist.

The staff working at the restaurant and rooftop was terrible, out of a sudden I thought we were ghosts. The floor at the room was wet, the shower leaked, they have connected rooms and you could hear people next room, connected rooms need to be made by double acoustic doors and not one si for thin one.

Great place to stay in Rio in a fun neighborhood a few blocks from the beach, staff was super helpful and friendly and spoke English very well. It was fun to hang out in the roof bar and also very convenient to have breakfast downstairs, we even had a delicious dinner in the restaurant as well one night.

Sometimes we had to wait a bit longer for the elevator but it wasn't too bad.

The request to have rooms close together was ignored. My stepdaughter and I were given a double bed instead of the twin beds we asked for. They moved us to an inferior room much further from our family.

I stayed here with my 14 year old daughter. It was a lovely hotel close to everything. Fantastic Breakfast!!! Great Location. Nice Room. Marvelous View from 11th floor on the lake and Christo. Cool Roofterrace. Friendly Staff. I believe the hotel lets you borrow chairs and a beach umbrella for free. I did not take the opportunity because of the 'cold' weather but it's a nice gesture.

On Friday night the hotel's bar on the sidewalk had some loud music playing. It got really noisy in our room as if we had our windows open and were located immediately next to it but in fact we were staying on the 11th floor! I didn't mind so much though but I can imagine that people do.

The safe did not work in the room (908). We asked a repair man to fix it but there were still issues with it.

We book for a two bed room and they gave us a single large bed The door of the bathroom clapped with the toilet And there was a leak in the toilet

The rooms need renovation, the windows are not good for protecting the sound from outside. There is a bar on the ground floor and high volume music is on all night. I had difficulty in sleeping because of the noise.

the staff were all very friendly and helpful. our room was nicely styled we enjoyed the breakfast every morning a lot of the staff can also speak English which helped a lot

I wish there was a microwave and a kettle in the room. We were eating out all the time because of this and even when we had leftovers from the restaurant we couldn’t take it back with us because we didn’t have a way to reheat the food.

The location is great, next to restaurants and shops. The lobby is modern, nice. Our rooms were the old rooms, so they were just OK. I know they have renovated rooms in the firsts floors, but we were given the old ones.

We couldn’t pay at the checkout, although they have our credit card as a guarantee. We have to look for a currency exchange at 10:00 pm because they wouldn’t let us check in without payment. They run out of beach towels sometimes.

Customer service very polite and helpful (check-in could have been expedited, but...) Location is perfect: Safe and centric. Super Gay/LGBTQ+ friendly. Room had a massive bed, It was big but also felt too tight.

Rooms could use a little bit of renovation and rethink of the space use. But they were nice and comfortable.

The breakfast was excellent! They have a very nice buffet breakfast with hot food, pastries, and fruit. The hotel is a short walk to a very nice beach. It was easy getting an Uber from the hotel.

At night, the restaurant downstairs becomes a club. Even on the 6th floor we could still hear the music downstairs in the evening. There was also construction going on while we were there, sometimes after 10pm at night.

Great location, room was very comfortable and clean, close to the beach and restaurants/bars in Ipanema. we had a great stay and recommend Mar Ipanema Hotel.

Late check-out wasn’t allowed by the staff, even though there were rooms available for booking.

Latenight front desk is dissapointing. Great breakfast. The Best of Mar Ipanema is an Employee named Celio, he is very polite, helpfull, educated and friendly.

The rooms needs an update urgently.

The location was perfect for a quick walk to the beach, numerous restaurants in the vicinity, rooftop bar afforded a beautiful view of the city area.

No on site swimming pool.

The breakfast is very good, with a variety of breads, cakes and fruits, and the room is comfortable, although small. Also, the location of the hotel is wonderful! It is in the middle of Ipanema, close to interesting stores and two blocks from the beach. The staff is attentive and polite. I plan on coming back again.

The bathroom wall has glass bricks that let the light from the bathroom into the bedroom, which can be disturbing if one person is sleeping and another is in the bathroom.

Amazing breakfast and really nice location, very safe neighborhood. Personnel very friendly and useful.

There are some renovations in place an the terrace is closed. Also double glass windows would be nice to avoid noises
