The location is excellent, especially for gay travelers, and I always felt safe during my stay. The views from the oceanfront room and the rooftop pool are stunning. The laundry service was efficient and clean, but shirts should be folded with a cardboard insert to better preserve their condition while traveling. The wifi is free and well-performing.

The security staff is overly present rather than being discreet, as I’m accustomed to in hotels of similar or higher standards. This creates an impression of being in a jail, further compounded by the tiny rooms. The ambiance, which aims for posh, falls short in delivering a truly luxurious experience. The waiters at the pool are slow to take and deliver orders. Additionally, my personal belongings, including my phone and glasses, were mistakenly taken to the dirty laundry bag by inexperienced staff while I was at the steam room. The gym is so small that I encountered a guest who opted to pay for access to a larger fitness club nearby instead of using the hotel’s facilities. Charging for coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine is really cheap and says a lot about the hotel, reflecting poorly on its standards (easily negotiated off the final bill)

The service was poor. While sunbathing upstairs, I had to go to the bar myself every time I wanted another drink, as the waiters never came around to check if I needed anything. They were nowhere to be found. Additionally, the night staff was rude and unprofessional. As a result, I decided to switch hotels.

I don’t like the staff and the way they talked to my friends when I just wanted to have a drink with them in the roof top . They pretended no guests were allowed at all . When you pay this price for a room you don’t want to be treated poorly . Especially cause some other colleagues staying at hotel had guests and it seemed no problem for them to access the bar . The general impression was rude staff trying to stay polite the whole time. The whole welcoming experience felt fake and dishonest . I would also sometimes ask for hot water and it would take an hour before getting it . For the price of this hotel I was extremely disappointed on how I have been treated .

For such an expensive room, your hotel shouldn't even be charging for your espresso pods. it's off-putting. ur hotel is overrated. very pretentious hotel.

There’s no city like Rio and this hotel has the best rooftop ever. I was speechless and I saw the view. truly unbelievable. Service was perfect, hotel spotless and I couldn’t recommend this property enough.

Check-in was not particularly welcoming (polar opposite to the hotel we had just come from). we were early but in spite of one of our rooms being ready, staff were not happy to let us use it and we ended up only being given access at 4.00 pm (one hour later than it should have been, worst case scenario). Concierge Manager and the roof top bar staff made up made up for what was lacking upon arrival and were extremely friendly and efficient.

Superb friendly and attentive service from every staff. Bed and pillows were really really comfortable. The scent in the hotel was amazing

We were in room 410 nothing really exciting. Its the most expensive hotel round but the location is excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the black out curtains were great. The pool staff is the best. Jeferson, Wagner, Antonio,Macedo and Lercon the Manager.

We didnt like the breakfast as it was very expensive for what you get. They try and run a 5 star hotel and the staff can be a bit stuffy. We wound up walking to a breakfast place called Gringo Cafe. One of the best breakfast I have ever had.

Breakfast was nice. Fresh and quality products. The staff is really nice. Peixoto, Roberto , Gerson… they are very professional and outstanding staff. The room is nice and the bed was very confortable.

The rooftop area was incredible with beautiful views, fantastic pool and sauna. The bedroom design was creative and stunning but becoming dated and worn.

There wasn’t much of a greeting, coming from Janeiro Hotel with impeccable service this just didn’t measure up. The bedroom light switches and other little things look like they need a refresh.

The location was great, right in front of Ipanema beach: the ocean view from the room was breathtaking. The pool area on the rooftop was also very beautiful, with good food, service, and friendly people working there. If you want to go for a trip or sightseeing you have people in the reception that will help you with the best tips, we booked a helicopter tour through the hotel which I highly recommend. Overall a good stay, an absolutely beautiful location, a big room, comfortable bed, very clean room, and some very kind people working there with the best service you could possibly ask for.

Smaller hotel than I expected. Very simple breakfast for the money. Also, the people working there were rude, like they didn't want people to eat there, especially one woman in the reception. Didn't come back after that, you can eat a better breakfast with a more welcoming vibe close by. Furthermore, the gym was very small so do not expect a lot of equipment. Also, a bit of a lack of information about the hotel when checking in, we asked them to show us around and tell us more about the place, but they didn't tell us about the spa or about the beach service, so a few days passed by without knowing about this. Worth the money? To be honest, no, you pay for the oceanfront view mainly, more things should be included for it to be worth it.

This was the 3rd hotel we stayed in during our visit to Rio. Everything was amazing. Roof pool was even better than expected and was only busy one time while we were there (and even then only about half the loungers were occupied). Location is perfect. Room was spacious and exactly what we wanted. Very cool design and room felt really private. It is expensive but it’s justified, we found it well worth the money. The room service breakfast was a highlight.

The WiFi kicked me out every day which was annoying as we were told that wouldn’t happen. Language barrier while on the roof bar made it difficult to solve one slight issue. Also found the restaurant (Gero) very overpriced (£90GBP / $120USD for cheese pasta, mushroom risotto, and 2 soft drinks).

The breakfast options were explained to us the day of our departure, because the person who could have explained it to us was not working these days. Not enough english speaking personnel. Which is the case in most of the country.

The hotel was beautiful and people were really nice. Ipanema is beautiful. This is one of the nicest hotels in Ipanema.

The water pressure in the shower was not as good as the other hotels I've stayed at in Rio but the overall hotel is awesome.

The room was outstanding. The breakfast was incredible. The room was super comfortable and clean. The bedroom view was amazing and the staff of the hotel was very kind and willing to help/serve! It was amazing!

The only downside is that I could not use the wifi of the hotel, for some reason it would not work at all. Tried my phone, my Mac and the connection just did not work. That was the only downside, I was unable to work from there.

We had a wonderful stay at this remarkable Hotel. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond what I had expected. The rooms as one would imagine are so perfectly turned out. The meal in the Gero restaurant was super. We'll definately return!

We stayed at both the Belmond Copacabana Palace and the Fasano over the Carnaval period and found the Fasano to be far, far better. The rooms were much more modern, clean and well appointed, and the facilities were also far better. However, the most distinguishing factor was the staff. They were extremely attentive and helpful in arranging things like Carnaval tickets and reservations. Will definitely be back.

Hotel has quite cool design and great service, breakfast was exceptional. The room and some facilities were tired, however it didn't have impact on our great stay. The view and nice balcony made all the difference.

SPA facilities - booked two massages and sadly they were not good at all. Absolutely not worth the money.

Elevators not reliable and got stuck a few times during our four day stay. Rooms were not ready on time and the lobby could do with a refurbishment

The Staff was amazing! Hugo was a delight and absolutely expectational. Brennal, Juliana and the whole entire Pool rooftop staff is phenomenal.

my only remark is that Fasano should consider include the breakfast. It is not really understandable in Brazil not to have the breakfast included.
