Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel, Rio de Janeiro

Excellent facilities and staff. Every single detail was perfect and our stay was very special. We look forward to returning again in the future. If you’re wondering if it’s worth the money- yes it is (make sure you get an ocean view room)

Problems with final payment as we were charged for taxi services when we had paid the drivers in cash. This took a long time to resolve but fortunately we had the time to resolve before leaving for the airport. Then after we left the hotel we were charged again by Visa without agreement. Again took a long time to resolve.

Perfection! They had thought about every tiny detail and went the extra mile to make our stay amazing!

Beautiful- without a doubt the only hotel to stay at in Rio!

Very elegant. A piece of history in the middle of the city.

I think that some of the common areas need some modern touch and improvement. Better ac in halls. Their hall of fame is also a little sad. It is such a famous hotel it could do much better than that.

Wonderful staff, very attentive. Fabulous hotel, the pool is perfect and calm and restaurants are exceptional. Iconic architecture and rich in history a wonderful hotel to stay in.

I really liked the Breakfast. It's a shame we cannot see the sea from there. But I understand privacy its important for security in Rio. I liked the room because it reminded me of home ... its cozy.

I just learned there was a picture exposition in the hotel when we were already in the cab , leaving for the airport. I Think you should give more information about the hotel and Rio when the guests arrive.

I loved staying at the Copacabana and would recommend it to anyone looking to travel to Rio. The majority of the staff were so helpful and accommodating and made our stay absolutely amazing. It felt like five star service and we really enjoyed the breakfast and our tasting menu meal at Mee. I hope to go back one day!

Some of the staff around the pool was not as helpful as the rest, but overall had a great time and would go back again.

Beautifully Hotel with many fine amenities throughout. Staff were attentative and friendly, breakfast on the Terrace was a highlight as well as the Suite.

Iconic hotel great staff who really could not do enough to make our stay special

We had 2 rooms the 1st was amazing but the 2nd didn’t have proper windows. They were opaque to obscure what I suspect is a poor view

It was really awkward. So there were only two sunny days in 10 days. Both days in the smack middle of the day they have decided to remodel some unit. The noise was awful. They didn’t want to get wet I suppose. The general manager was ignorant, zero help. The very hotel and situation was saved by the humble friendly amazing staff . GM maybe for like a food chain not in the hotel industry! Very dissatisfied with the way he carried himself. There was an older couple from California requested to speak with someone about the noise they were told that they had an opportunity to speak with someone at 17:00. The request was made in the morning. Incredible! So they won’t attend the guest at the guests convenience us as guests have to adjust the schedule to be able to be attended by the hotel manger. In a normal world which we aren’t living in he shouldn’t have a job. And if so not as the GM. Considering the amount of money we spent they should be more attentive with those details.

Experience highlights Sarah in the concierge team. She made our honeymoon so special. Her work ethic and kindness is more than extraordinary. Special thank to the hotel team that we could enjoy the pool view suite instead of the avenue view suite. We are really grateful for it. Housekeeping team are fantastic as well. Team member beyond expectations? Yes, Sarah in the concierge team. She is phenomenal. We’ve had so many questions during our stay and she was really helpful all the time. She is the main reason that we enjoyed our stay so much. Further comments Loved the new old money styled umbrellas at the pool area. Great design. The 100 years old brand is on spot.

The hotel was great. The breakfast was the best. Did the hotel tour, and it was outstanding.

I didn't like the fact that you had to cross a major street to get to the beach, but that wasn't a problem.

Everything about this Belmond hotel speaks of comfort and service.

Nothing of any real importance, although there are a few niggling issues such as not being able to access your bath towels easily from the shower etc… but really they are such first world problems.

Our experience at Copacabana Palace Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. From the minute we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Our suite was exceptional, stylishly decorated and offering a breathtaking view of Copacabana Beach from our balcony. The hotel even surprised us with complimentary prosecco and chocolates, adding a special touch to our engagement celebration. Amenity-wise, the pool was the perfect oasis, inviting and beautifully designed. The breakfast buffet was another highlight, boasting a range of quality options and even featuring champagne—what a way to start the day! The staff made us feel truly special throughout our stay. Eduardo, in particular, was a gem. Not only did he come to our rescue with water during our city tour, but he was also a delightful conversationalist who added a personal touch to our experience. To sum it up, Copacabana Palace was more than just a hotel; it was an experience that left us feeling cared for and cherished. We can't recommend it highly enough and WILL be coming back!!!! (For our honeymoon!)

Attention to detail was excellent. Service was incredible. Lots of very thoughtful small touches. Cipriani one of the best meals we ever had and the Michelin star is very well deserved. Massage was one of the best I’ve had and other services like haircuts/gym were very good indeed. Pool was gorgeous (although weather sadly meant we didn’t use it).

We did have some problems with meals at the Pérgula restaurant. Slow / mistakes with orders etc. Not clear what was happening there as everything else was excellent.

- spotless customer service. I believe it is the best I have ever experienced - big spacious rooms, closets, bathrooms - convenient location in the heart of the Copacabana beach - very delicious breakfast with many options. Staff suggests a lot of new things to try. Very pleasant experience - 2 Michelin restaurants right on the hotel area

- it was stated that the hotel has their own piece on the beach but it turned out to be a really small area with the beach lounges pretty far from the water, so you have a view on the garbage cans and other people umbrellas. The staff member refused to open the umbrella explaining that the wind is strong. It was partially true but at the same time all the other people on the beach (outside Copacabana Palace area) had their umbrellas open and they were fine. So beach experience is really far from the magnificent service inside the hotel

Welcoming from the second you arrive. Accommodated a very early check in and at short notice. The hotel does a great job at being very elegant and sophisticated but doesn’t feel stuffy and has a great atmosphere. If you’re coming to Rio, I wouldn’t have any second thoughts about staying here. I’ve been to Emiliano, Sheraton and Hyatt in Rio and they don’t even come close!

Everything exceptional. Attention to detail, everything. It’s expensive but actually good value for what you get. Definitely a destination hotel if you get the opportunity

The building is a classic . The stuff of dreams . The room was enormous with a view of the beach . Everything was thought of and the housekeeping was exceptional . The bed was super comfy . The pool area is elegant and a wonderful place to watch the world go by . I dined in Pergola and Ciprianis. Both were excellent . The breakfast is world class and every possible item is available . But what makes this hotel truly exceptional is the PEOPLE. The personal touches , the attentive but not overbearing service . Quiet efficiency everywhere and nothing is too much trouble . I have stage in two six star hotels and have NEVER felt so well looked after . As a woman travelling alone that says everything

This place is amazing . Old fashion great way to do things! Service is impeccable. Breakfast is a dream. The bed is super comfortable, the rooms are spacious. we stayed at the from suite with views of the beach. Amazing! We stayed in many hotels but this is definitely one to return. Thanks for all the good memories guys.

We felt like in a mother"s house, because despite glamour and luxury, all employes were very simpathetic and kind.

To be advertised about the risk of bed persons in front of hotel or at the beach, make us afraid. Security question must be improved.

There was no 220 V connectors for a prestige hotel That was disappointing.

We were upgraded to a magnificent suite on the 6th floor. it was outstandingly, superb and enhanced our stay at the Palace and in Rio! shout out to Eugenio and the whole 6th floor team.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We looked forward to our breakfast each morning. The pace was a little slow but that's fine when on holiday. The rooms were really large and very comfortable for families. The pool was also beautiful and relaxing.

Check in was not overly informative, however they gave us a late check out. It was not very lively in the evenings and there was a very large area on the first floor that seems under utilized - so much potential to do more.
