Dancing House Hotel, Prague

The building is iconic, the rooms are clean and well appointed. Every room we saw was a little different. The restaurant and bar at the top has amazing views.

This is more of a business building than a hotel… Don’t expect anything in the way of lobby, bar, Bellmen, etc. There is no one to help with your bags, the hotel just has a few floors in a building that also contains offices.

Great location

The room was comfortable and had a view overlooking the river. It is within easy walking distance of old town and new town and public transport.

TV situated in bad position for viewing.

It is very centrally located very easy to get to buy train, tram or bolt. Just a few miles from the broadcast even closer to the old town… Rooms are very comfortable. The bathroom is a good size with two sinks, which is very appreciated in Europe.

There was a funny smell emanating from the bathroom, and we had to contain that by always making sure to close the door.

I was so relieved to find this amazing hotel after a bad experience elsewhere in Prague. It completely exceeded my expectations. The location is unbeatable — right in the center and just steps from Charles Bridge. I booked a city-view room, and it was exactly what I hoped for. They also have river-view rooms if you prefer that. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful — I felt genuinely welcomed. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the soundproofing, and it absolutely delivered. Even though my room was connected to another (which was occupied), I didn’t hear a single sound. The peace and quiet were impressive. The hotel also has a cozy café, a rooftop area, and a fantastic restaurant — all of which made the stay even better. Overall, an incredible value. I really hope their prices stay the same!

very good location, just 15 min of walk from main attractions and city center. On the other side of the road near the river there many locations to sit next to the water and to drink a beer or any other drink. Breakfast with a view from 7'th floor was really great

Such a beautiful property in a great location 20 minutes walk from Charles Bridge. The room was modern and spacious and very clean and comfortable. Staff were super nice. And the rooftop bar with a view of the castle watching sunset really made our stay.

Great view on the river and city from room, restaurant and roof top bar. Nice breakfast buffet and good place for a sun downer on the roof.

The uniqueness of this location is a draw. The hotel is close to attractions and is pretty accessible. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The rooms were ok, but there was mold in the shower around the edges.

The rooftop bar, while the views were excellent, the facility was grubby and the staff unfriendly.

The room was spacious with a huge bathroom and lots of closet space. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the AC was powerful. Breakfast on the top floor was great - a decent selection of good quality food.

Location: A bit of a walk to get to the old town and Prague Castle, though there are direct trams to these places.

The breakfast buffet had very little for vegans so we were quite limited on what we could eat , I asked if they could cook some vegetarian sausages for us but they didn't have any , I found this quite surprising from a hotel of this quality as lot's of hotels in this day and age will provide vegetarian sausages if requested

* The hotel facilities were very pleasant. * Spacious room. * Fresh food was consistently provided. * The rooftop offered a stunning view, which added greatly to the experience. * The location is convenient, with tram lines within walking distance. * Wi-Fi connectivity was strong and reliable throughout our stay. * The bed was exceptionally comfortable. * The presence of a security guard at the entrance added an extra sense of safety. * There is a supermarket located nearby, which was very convenient.

* On several occasions, we experienced cigarette smoke entering our room through the air-conditioning system, despite the windows being fully closed. When we contacted the reception, we were advised to close the window, which was already shut. Ultimately, we had to sleep with the window open to ensure fresh air. In the morning, when we raised this concern again, the receptionist opened a window on the ground floor near the reception area to "prove" there was no smoke. This response seemed rather dismissive, especially considering it was daytime and our issue occurred on the 2nd floor during the night. * Upon arrival, we found a nut on the carpet in our room, suggesting it had not been thoroughly cleaned. * The reception staff did not consistently answer phone calls. We had to try multiple times to get through. * Housekeeping frequently forgot items in our room, such as a bottle of cleaning product (a green Domestos bottle) and a used pillowcase. * During our week-long stay, the supply of toilet paper was inconsistent - some days it was replenished, and other days it was not. * The shower gel dispenser was not refilled in time and ran out. We had to contact reception late in the evening to have someone come to the room and refill it from a bulk container. * At breakfast, guests must operate the machines themselves to get fresh orange juice or pancakes. * Upon entering the breakfast restaurant, we provided our room number as required. However, partway through breakfast, while using the pancake machine, I was abruptly asked again for my room number. The manner in which I was questioned made me feel uncomfortable, as if I were being suspected of sneaking in. * The view from our room was of a building under construction, which led us to keep the curtains drawn for the entire stay. * The hotel rooftop appears to be a popular spot for tourists, and the elevators are shared between guests and visitors.

The fan on the toilet doesn´t work and the window was blocked, so it was a little bit problem few times per day.

Iconic place. Good coffee in the cafe on the first floor. The location is very convenient for us. Suggestion- go out to the Peace Square area. Less touristy and great area.

We had a rear facing room on a weekend. No view, but it was quiet. They are working on a building behind it, so I am guessing on a weekday you would not want that. The crowds that cue up for the elevator to the roof and bar are a bit of an imposition.

Everything exceeded my high expectation, friendly & helpful staff, very spacious room, well stocked mini bar, location, views and the breakfast offering was terrific.

Same breakfast everyday. As a vegetarian it wasnt much option to eat. By 6th day it was like a big task to have breakfast.

Experience was amazing it’s a great location and amazing view from my suite. My only concerns were the mattress was not very good from one side softer than the other side and goes more down. And when I wanted to do a late check out instead of 12 to make it 1 pm they said not possible.

We chose the Dancing House as it is one of the main landmarks in Prague. We came to Prague to run in the half marathon. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious was lots of choice totally nationalities. The breakfast staff were efficient and friendly.

Having dined in the restaurant we went back the next day for a drink and to book another meal. The staff were very cool and appeared reluctant to allow us in but suggested we sit on the terrace and gave us drinks menus. We sat outside and waited to be served as on our previous visit it was table service. After 30 minutes we decided to leave as no one came to offer us a drink. It was the most awful experience having to walk through having been thoroughly ignored. I spoke to the staff member that gave us the drinks menus. Think he was the manager. I asked if we should have come to the bar to order our drinks as we had been ignored. He said no. I asked why we had been ignored and we had such a good experience the previous day we wanted to come back. The other staff member who had been so friendly and efficient the day before blanked us! The staff had been exemplary on the previous occasion and so I can’t understand why they deliberately failed to serve us without reason. The hotel is lovely and all other staff were efficient courteous and friendly. If we were not welcome to sit upstairs where should we have sat? Generally in hotels residents are able to use the bar and restaurant.

I loved the spaciousness of the bedroom and the views (of course). And the restaurant design is so beautiful.

The bed was too soft, or the topping layer too soft. The bathroom should have towel rails. Also the armchairs need re-upholstering (unpleasant to sit in, too worn out).
