Mouco Hotel, Porto

Beautiful setting, very quiet and great atmosphere.

In a slightly dodgy neighborhood, but not too bad. Came and went late at night with no trouble.

Hotel itself and rooms are lovely. We enjoyed walking into Porto each day from the hotel. The coffee and breakfast downstairs was good and the communal areas are really well set up.

The pool area was really disappointing. We were looking forward to spending time there but it was a bit run down.

Nice hotel, friendly stuff, a room was clean, good breakfast. Hotel has a parking. A nice district.

Do not book a superior double room!!! We liked everything except for the fact that the bed was on the second level, where there is no window, and even at night, when it was only +13°C, it was impossible to sleep — too stuffy. The air con is on the first floor, so there was no chance to ventilate the bedroom. I slept for two nights on the sofa in the living room. Also if you have a sport car bear in mind that the entrance to the parking it steep and narrow but for standard cars is absolutely fine.

Style and vibe of hotel was great. It was not too far from atractions, in walking distance. They have parking for additional fee. Rooms are clean, pool not big but enough if your visit is not for pool holiday. It is better take worhout breakfast as every morning you will get the same and they have great breakfast a la carte.

Rooms are a little bit dark. More suited for workation. :)

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the city, so you can sleep really good! The architecture is a little time capsule back in the modernist 70s. A little outdated but charming. You can reach the city center by metro in just two stops. Over all the price was fair and we enjoyed staying at the hotel.

The AC system had a hickup and didn't let us regulate the temperature in our room below 25°C unless the staff in the front desk unlocked this. Was a little back and forth but we managed. They fixed it on our last day and then it worked as it should.

This is such a great place really unique and a great vibe. We were upgraded to a garden room which was beautiful as our room was not ready. The staff are welcoming and we had really good service. Lovely breakfast and the pool area was really nice.

It’s a little way from the main centre but the hotel is a great unique space so worth the walk.

Not enough chairs at the pool but it’s okay i guess, since the pool is not the biggest as well some facilities at the room weren’t working, like the power outlet

Location, it's a little way out of town.

Lovely facilities and very professional vibe. The rooms were clean and comfortable and all the facilities were kept to a high standard. We had a balcony facing the front of the building but the layout meant it was still very private and was not visible to other guests.

More seating / loungers around the pool as there were some very busy periods.

I loved that it was small. Garden was beautiful. Swimming pool lovely Staff was lovely (especially the older gentleman and the young lady in the breakfast area). The only let down was the breakfast. It was lovely and tasty, but not a very big serving and the same thing every morning.

Great hotel, very charming and cosy with music theme - lending music instruments and records. Great atmosphere and nice staff.

Location - it is not walking distance to the main touristic points. It is close to a subway station and train station

The hotel had a fun and quirky vibe. It had a whiff of California chic without the LA attitude. I LOVED the library and took full advantage of it! You could take out 5 records and 1 book a night and listen to records in your room! All of the staff were kind and accomodating and the food was great too.

It wasn't as easy to walk from the train station as I thought it would be and the pool was much smaller that I had thought. However, the hotel is lovely and I would definitely stay again!

The online checkin looked like it was a scam It required the details of all staying but would not allow for people born after 2006 It then took a deposit which they had not said anything about previously in USD instead of EUR and it did not allow for this to be changed I tried several times

Everything about the place is perfect.

Aircon is hard to figure out. Everything is over my expectations.

Food was excellent, all staff superb. Rooms airy, clean and spacious. Housekeeping excellent.

Pool opening times were difficult to predict, some noise at night from bar customers.

What a fantastic find. Up a little side street near Heroismo metro station, this property is very modern both the building and and the concept. Basically set up for digital nomads with lots of communal work areas. Room was a little apartment with bedroom, bathroom and little kitchenette and seating area. Lots of polished concrete. Great shower! Very clean! We tried the free record player and listened to some cool vinyl tunes over our stay. Staff really helpful - including helping setup the tv . They also gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant for dinner on our first night.(Tashquinha Rebelo) The breakfast is great - 12 euro for the variety was a steal. Attended an outsite community wine tasting event which was a great way to meet the other residents. The pool is small but salt water and not chlorine and plenty of sunbeds and space to enjoy the sun. Will be checking out other outsite locations for future stays.

The lighting in the bedrooms could be a bit brighter and we took a while to work out what switches worked what lights.

Beautiful architecture, loved the pool and the other shared spaces! And loved the use of washing machine and dryer!

Our bathroom floor was sticky but that’s the only fault I have, and it’s a very small fault!

Such a chill place, with we work kind of sharing office concept. The vinyl can be upgraded, but it’s not any issue. Staff are really nice and helpful, cafe is either decent food. There is even a stage for conference or performance at the basement, amazing

The lighting in the room and also the air conditioning was difficult to comprehend. Also the garage had a difficult ramp to navigate and having a very wide car I ended up scratching the bumper and the rear tyre.

It was my first time at Mouco, but I unfortunately did not take advantage of all the place had available. Weather upon arrival was grey and cool, so I did not try the pool. There were also events during my stay, but I had other engagements. I will have to return again! I stayed in a studio with a small kitchen - everything was clean, well taken care of (though the lighting was a bit odd and temperamental), interesting design. The surrounding area has it's idiosyncrasies: many locals and immigrants, some worn down buildings. It's a 5 minute walk to Heroísmo subway station, 25-30 minute walk to central Porto (think Aliados). The staff was warm, helpful and available when needed. A good breakfast was available for 12€, I believe from 7h30 to 10h30. I think this is a great place to stay if you're planning to stay for some time, to work, or to take advantage of their social gatherings and events.

A quiet location away from the centre but with good transport links by train, metro and bus. An excellent breakfast was available from a menu rather than being a buffet type. The building and furnishings can be best described as functional.

we loved the rustic charm style of the hotel - upon check in, it did not disappoint us! It’s perfect for music lovers as there are wide selection of vinyl records to take to your room to dance and enjoy.

The hotel is definitely unique to anywhere I have stayed before. The lobby area and bar/work areas were enjoyable to relax.

Our room featured a spiral staircase to a mezzanine style bed area. Although this made the tv/bathroom area of the room spacious, the bed area did not have any air conditioning so was very hot and uncomfortable at night while trying to sleep

breakfast on the first day took a long time to arrive despite asking 2 times and it was just granola

Very nicely designed facilities, with terraces, garden, swimming pool and even a yoga/gym room with mats and light equipment for workouts! The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was very good. I had a large double for extra space, with a kitchenette and large window sill were I could sit and read.

The room could’ve had more to make us comfortable. It was super minimal and quite dark. The breakfast was okay but there’s no flexibility in the menu.

Attractive building including spaces to work and a small pool. Very nice cafe with a good menu, especially for breakfast. Room quite large and fittings modern.

Convenient for the Porto Campanha train station, but not so near the historic centre. Lighting in the room was not good, and there was no shade on the window.

The hotel is very clean and modern. The bathroom blew me away in that actually walked in to take a shower. Everything else was very user friendly and my stay was safe and comfortable.

The staff after hours were very complacent to the needs of the customers. Their initial reception friendly and attentive but it was lost as time went on. There were on their personal agenda and not attentive to their customers.
