The property was nice. Especially the jasmine bushes in front of our apartment

Welcoming was the worst! From that point on we felt very uncomfortable. They said they sent mails to finish the checking. I did not receive the ones they mentioned. I even showed my spam and regular mailbox and whatsapp messages from them. That is still not the horrible part. We were so tired and i told her, please let us get to our room first and do them there if possible, since it took her forever to find a way to send us the documents that needed to be signed. I found a solution at the end for her to send me documents through airdrop. They did not even had a hard copy of the documents! We came to the place earlier to leave our luggage and they could have done it by then as well. We had to do it late at night with all this hassle. Above all, while we were having troubles with this documents exchange, other guests came in and she chatted with them and helped them with their inquiries as we were waiting with no patience downstairs. When I went up, i had to tell her-please finish with us and do the next inquiries. She told ke- i ak the only one here! I cannot believe that we have to explain her that she has to finish with one and especially with the ones who are very tired and disappointed, and solve the other’s issues. The employees look like they are good people in general but unfortunately two of them are definitely should not be incharge of a place like this. This is coming from a frequent travelers

The property is well located for tourists.

Breakfast started at 8.30 which is too late if you are booked for tours which start around 8 to 8.30am. All controls were electronic which might be good for some, but we were an older couple and found them confusing.

Very clean, beautiful room, good location, impeccable staff

Everything in the room is controlled by a panel which is somewhat overcomplicated. The bathroom is nice, but is missing a cabinet or a table next to the sink. In the shower, there is also missing indication to which side is hot water.

You will never find joy staying at Canto De Luz simply because their policies are not transparent and open. At least, Portugal is a fine country to compensate awfully differences during my stay at Canto De Luz.

The staff will tell you different thing and promise you with their own expectation. The truth is: the false sincerity given to me and the fake smiles they gave during my stay. It was really awful. The place is never a luxury because it has a basement unit with a long flight of stairs. If you have a large luggage, you will be in trouble carrying up and down the stairway.

Breakfast was good, the room was cosy and comfortable. The bed was as well. The location of the hotel is good and it's easy to walk to the city center.

The staff reached out within minutes of booking. The information they requested made our arrival so smooth. When we eventually arrived, we were treated like VIP's. Everything was so easy and straightforward. The staff were absolutely incredible. The accommodations were superb. The breakfast was indulgent.

Incredible property feels like a home from home, beautiful room, exceptional friendly service, you really couldn’t want for more. Breakfast was fresh and delicious! One of the best places we’ve stayed in (including some luxury 5 star hotels)!

Nothing. We were totally ripped off. I would not recommend. They robbed us of $1300 Can and take no responsibility for their role as a hospitality provider.

Quiet, great location in old town, outstanding breakfast, wine samples first night, Alexa for music and weather, Netflix and Disney + for TV, good temp regulation in room, staff super helpful.

It’s an amazing, unique hotel. The staff is so warm and accommodating it feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place in Porto. Great breakfast, wonderful wine self service. Central location but quiet and private. Large, stylish rooms and villas.

Honestly it’s all just perfect.

It was our first family vacation with our ten month old son. We arrived earlier than check in and were allowed to sit in the lounge area and leave our bags at a secure spot and offered drinks. The staff were absolutely lovely. Location wise it’s perfect and a walking distance from popular tourist spots and the city centre. Place is kept well and tidy and gives a home away from home vibe. We were provided a cot and baby bath as well as Montessori toys for our son to play with. Highly recommend the place.

The property is beautifully redesigned. The staff were excellent.

Very noisy room (avoid the one at the front). We had heard this was the best breakfast ever. I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to. It was very ordinary. We travel a lot and have extraordinary breakfasts. This was not one of them. Importantly I do not appreciate being told to write only a five star review. This is how people game the system. Reviews are there to help others and not the property owners!

First off, the staff are absolutely amazing. So friendly and incredibly helpful! We really enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that kept it from being a perfect 10. But it was close!

The property is relatively new and I think they are still working out some of the kinks. For one, there is a staircase that you need to walk up and down if you’re staying in a certain part of the property. The staircase is outside and has no lighting whatsoever. Not exactly ideal. Also, while we enjoyed how modern and tech savvy the property was, we struggled to understand it completely and utilize it to its full extent. It took a couple of days to really figure it out and get comfortable with — and by then our stay was over.

To provide room service for lunch or dinner. Or provide menus for restaurants that will deliver to the door.

It was really good hotel. They were very friendly and treated us like VIP. The breakfast was really good. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The location was also perfect for all our travels. The staff was able to make dinner and lunch reservations for us. Really enjoyed the stay!

The room. We were on the ground floor, little natural night and noisy from the street. The one bedroom was divided by shelves and the only way to get into the bed was to crawl from the bottom. No ability to walk around.

Beautiful boutique bedroom. Comfortable bed and contemporary decor. Location in old town, about 15 minutes walk down to the river. Lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

By far the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel! Loved the location, and the space was gorgeous. Highly recommend if travelling to Proto, and want to be off the main stretch but still walkable.

The breakfast was delicious, and there was a lot of different foods; eggs, fruit, fresh breads, charcuterie. etc. Really nice.

The only issue with the duplex room was finding space for our luggage, and unpacking our clothing and shoes, etc. It was beautifully decorated, but just not any space space for our things (except the bathroom had ample drawer space for all of our toiletries).

The staff were all amazing, they were very welcoming and helpful. Our family room was very comfortable, clean and quiet.

Very clever conversion of an old property near the centre of Porto. Everything was excellent- breakfast, garden, bedroom, the people - parking arrangements included. The bed was very comfortable and all the little touches made this a fabulous place to stay.

Canto de Luz was a beautiful property, was easily accessible with a key pad, storage for luggage, plenty of amenities in the room (washer/dryer, small kitchen, patio, etc), and very clean. The staff communicated everything we needed for our stay ahead of time. Breakfast was also fantastic! We loved our stay and everyone was very friendly and quick to answer our questions.
