Hyatt Regency Palais De La Méditerranée, Nice

Hotel for sure do need some renovation to be done, I guess it has been very good one but couple years ago. It’s acceptable for 4* , but not 5* hotel. Breakfast isn’t tasty and very short list of products on the line . Btw staff is very good trained and makes good impression. The view from the terrace is magnificent as well.

It’s a beautiful hotel, good location and helpful staff. Breakfast has good quality and variety and the facilities are ok. Generally was a nice hoteal to stay in Nice.

The rooms are a bit outdated. The toilet was a separate room with no sink. The extra bed we asked for was a small obe-person sofa-bed and its mattress was not suitable for a 5-star hotel.

A excellent Hotel at the Promenade des Anglais close to the City Center with very friendly and helpful staff

Parking Garage Cost of 40 Euro per Night is relativ high but since ist public difficult for the Hotel to change

Excellent customer service at front desk, rooms was spacious and bed was really comfortable, housekeeping kept the room really clean and organized.

Location is excellent being close to the beach, an easy walk from the centre of the city and well connected by pubic transport to the airport and the rest of the city. Hotel is very high quality, staff exceptional and quality of linen and cleaning service very high. Breakfast is exceptional

although it had a nice view of the city and mountain, and a small terrace with seats, the room was pretty average, and less than we had hoped for an expensive hotel

A special call out to the team on reception, they were so welcoming and kind to me - I wasn’t expecting to stay another night in Nice and they made my disrupted travel plans very comfortable! thank you!

On the Friday evening there was a very, VERY loud disco occurring in a neighbouring casino that went on until 0200 and kept us awake. It is not the hotel’s fault but there was no “by the way” notice or communication that there was a risk of having disturbed sleep that night.

The location is fantastic. You couldn’t get any better than being directly on the promenade. The hotel bar and restaurant is very welcoming and the food is good, the views over the promenade are beautiful.

The Mountain View was very very misleading. All the balconies with this view directly face the apartments opposite which are all in desperate need of renovations to the exteriors. I was so disappointed with this view and we never used the balcony for this reason, felt like an invasion of residents privacy and the view was not nice.

Expensive hotel. All good, but I didn't like our rooms that were too far from the elevator (hotel was half empty) and had no view. Apart from the perfect location and valet support, this is not an impressive hotel.

The hotel restaurant was massively over-priced for very mediocre food in a very average environment.

Hotel didn't inform me upon booking that a major event was happening with roads blocked which delayed my airport pick up when I left. The hotel must provide an information card for international tourists on sites to explore in the area and share other tips

We were told we couldnt attend the restaurant for breakfast on the first day because it had been booked for a function. This turned out to be incorrect but we still had to use room service

Given the fabulous position of the hotel on the promenade des Anglais, we were disappointed at the lack of communal space for guests to view the Promenade. Neither the reception area nor breakfast area on the third floor had a good view.

The location of the hotel is excellent and so was the quality of the breakfast.

I liked almost everything. The quality of our stay was magnificent and it really shows this is a five-star establishment. And at this price (out-of-season, true) - this was really a bargain. Ca 800 EUR per 2 nights with breakfasts in Nice along the English Promenade is a steal! The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant, the works of art inside the lobby and the interesting installation by the entrance always made our day whenever we strolled through the lobby.

Well, some of the personnel was new (or they claimed to be new), and some of them did not speak English (which is weird, since this is a 5-star hotel in a tourist city, where MOST guests speak English and not French. This posed some troubles for us in certain cases (especially during meals, where most personnel did not speak English at all...). Also, we did not like how breakfasts were organized - putting people making eggs and omelettes right behind the counter with hot dishes resulted in long queues of people waiting to just take their scrambled eggs from the counter, instead having to wait for 10 minutes of more because of all those people who did not want to use the countrers with hot dishes, but were rather waiting for the pleasant cooks to cook them personalized omelettes etc. Coffee was often out, we NEVER had larger plates (we had to ask for them, basically, every single time, because they ran out quickly and then for 10 minutes nobody would bring new ones). If this is how the restaurant works during out-of-season time, I am afraid this must be far worse during April-September season, when the hotel is full of guests (we stayed in February, it was probably 50% booked). This was by far the worst restaurant and breakfast experience that we have EVER had anywhere in the world. A 3* hotel does this better, so I assume that either they were severely understaffed during February or they should redesign their restaurant and optimize it A LOT. Just go to other hotels, see how it looks there and copy, please! Breakfasts themselves were tasty, to be honest, but we ALWAYS ate them cold (even the hot dishes, due to having to wait in long lines). Also, our credit card was double-charged for the whole stay - first, a reservation was made on my credit card, and then - when checking out - another charge was made. The difference was returned only after two weeks! This is not OK - charging EUR 1600 instead of 800 is not ok. Even if they do return it eventually.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious, and the location is excellent. Special thanks to Jade, who is a well-traveled, educated, and humorous individual. The spa is pleasant enough to spend some peaceful time in.

The only issue was the wifi.

We were spoiled with a upgrade for our wedding anniversary this time. Perfect location. Valet parking. Great rooms. Super breakfast. Friendly staff.
