This is a five star hotel. Incredible staff, fantastic location for exploring Nice and the surrounding areas. The pool area provides a relaxing environment to escape the hussle and bustle. The view room the room is out of this world. We can’t wait to come back!

Welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff who let me check in early. Room was comfortable and clean with a good sized bathroom. Terrace with views over the ocean was stunning. Restaurant is in a little courtyard which is very nice.

Lots of stairs and different lifts need to be used to get to your room (especially if you are in a room on the top floors), which was not a problem for me but something to keep in mind in case you're not comfortable using lifts or walking many stairs.

Location, renovation and the view

Location is quite good, and service is satisfying. I really enjoyed the breakfast here -- they have beautiful kitchen to do fried eggs.

Almost no view from the room and the pool (though themselves are quite beautiful). Bathroom is a bit old.

In the heart of the old town. Near the beach. A neat hotel with the retained charm of the old days. The room is cleaned twice a day.

Although you enter from the main promenade, the main building is behind, so you have to change between two elevators to get to your room. The room feels damp. They don't have beach towels.

The staff was great. The location was great. Pool was fabulous. Loved breakfast in the lemon tree garden.

Beautiful location with exceptional staff and facilities. The location was on the edge of the main busy street. It was nice to be out of the crowds but close enough to everything.

We love this property - this was our 5th visit. Perfect location. Breathtaking views from the sea view rooms. Beautiful pool area. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff are very friendly and attentive

The location was perfect. Our room, the Mediterranean suite had a lovely terrace overlooking the city. The staff were correct and very pleasant.

The hotel smelled. I don’t know why the boast about having been renovated, it had this stale old cheap hotel smell.

The location is fabulous. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. There are nice touches all around the hotel and rooms that show great care. Strongly recommend even though the price point may be a bit high, totally worth it! And not snobby either.

Incredible staff, so friendly and helpful! Lovely design and furnishings. We booked a sea view room which was stunning. Comfortable, clean and well located for the Old Town and the Beach. (Castel and Bocca Mar were great for lunch nearby.)

Perhaps the best breakfast on our trip which spanned Austria, Italy, France and Switzerland (12 days in total). Perfect location. Incredible property— perfect for the final stages of the Tour!!!

This gorgeous boutique hotel is situated overlooking the sea while at the same time being within easy walking distance to the old town of Nice and the beautiful beach promenade. Apart from the functional tastefully decorated rooms, fabulous restaurant (and breakfast!!) I think the staff interaction stood out for me in this hotel. From the time I booked the correspondence from management was excellent and so helpful. I was able to book transport between the hotel and neighboring towns and nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and during our stay every member of staff was so friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Nice.

Loved the location and the staff were excellent. Fabulous breakfast in a wonderful location. Nothing felt like too much trouble.

Room was rather small for 3 and dark as faced the cliff. Access to bedroom floor needed multiple lifts

Lovely Boutique Hotel. Perfect Position. Loved the restaurant & pool area.

The shower didn’t work well. Apart from this the room was great. Rather expensive, so would have liked larger rooms for the rate we paid.

Perfect location for sight seeing in and around Nice Right at the doorstep of Old Nice with the massive Nice beach in front of this hotel Mega attentive service from all the staff from the cleaner to concierge to restaurant waiter and waitress to reception except the manager who always keep a distance with us Restaurant and breakfast are superb, great quality of food and very attentive service. One of the waiter is full of passion and energy to offer customers the best

The hotel is mega old and have been renovated to modernise as far as it can but still the architecture cannot keep up with the modern hotel There is a lack of practical space, wall sockets, desk space, etc… forget it if you are on business Sadly the hotel manger deliberately don’t want to speak to us. Only asking her staff if we are being looked after. While she chooses to entertain the customers who she wants to interact with. Unlucky or luck if she does not speak to you, who knows. There is a clear discrimination somewhere. Very sad for such a successful business.

Location, friendly staff

I highly recommend this hotel, both for its location and service. Breakfast was rich and delicious. We were given chocolates when we checked in, and greetings and snacks every night. All the staff are very nice. Overall it was perfect.

There is a reason this hotel is rated as one of those small luxury hotels of the world. Its location is unrivalled. A very unique offering. The building (@1936) is very quirky and is architecturally significant. ***The views from the roof top sun terrace are absolutely breathtakingly magnificent. It's tucked away from the busy prom and city yet just a stone's throw away. Food in the restaurant is divine. Great room service menu. Pool, sauna, gym. Breakfast extensive. Staff so professional and so helpful and courteous. I will 100% return. Arguably the finest hotel in Nice given the location and what it offers.

That I was only there for one night!

La Perouse is in a perfect location for walking all around Nice. It is near Place Garibaldi (and the trams), it is near the Promenade Anglais, it is near the Port, it is next to Old Town. The rooms are spacious and lovely, and so well appointed. Lots of closet space. The outdoor terrace is amid lemon trees! I did not go in the pool but it looked great and relaxing. The very top terrace is even higher than the viewing point for Castle Hill!

Location was excellent - adjacent to the old town, restaurants aplenty in a pedestrian street, the beach and also the port and its tram stop.

Initially we were given a perfectly reasonable room but with an outdoor terrace that was backed by the rock face of the headland that the hotel backs onto. It made for a dark room with an unfortunate view. We were moved to a better room by the desk staff and all was then well. If booking, avoid Room 510.

Reception staff very welcoming. Some of the restaurant staff less so. Room very comfortable (wonderful bed and linen, towels etc!), spacious, clean. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. A wonderful first stay in Nice and we would definitely go back to La Perouse if we are in Nice again.

Perhaps the restaurant was understaffed on our first night? But the meal was good in general.

Location was amazing lovely spacious room. Loved the fact the balcony had views of the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff. The house keeping were really professional as were reception and breakfast team.

I have an issue with using elevators and so I had to use the stairs but the stair well was often clogged up with kitchen equipment/bins. A lot could be done with this space including carpets being laid. Better bar area needed. Better cooked breakfast selection needed.

Characterful property in good condition close to the old town with good dining room and breakfast. Staff very helpful. Rooms are adequate but not large, and ours had a balcony overlooking the bay and (to right) the Promenade des Anglais. Valet parking is provided at cost and is necessary but very efficient.

In the nature of the property on the hillside, navigation inside is a little confusing, eg two lifts are needed from reception to rooms, with the restaurant after the first.

Location was great, cleaning very good.

Great location facing the sea and easy access to both the old & new town areas. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good renovation work in bedrooms & restaurant / bar area.

It’s a renovated historic place ,rooms are very different. We had a See front small room . Everything what you need ,bed is comfy coffee/tee Maschine ,.Also bathroom is nice. Balcony nice and at night you have the sound of the waves. Where else in Nice is this possible?! Evening service for changing of towels and some sweets.😊 There is also a small sauna the whole day running! For us it was a perfect stay!

Truly beautiful and stylish hotel in the perfect location! The staff was nice and attentive, the room was small, but comfy and with lemon garden view. There was cute tiny details that made it really memorable!

The breakfast was quite disappointing for such a good hotel. There were too small options of food, fruit and vegetables. No fresh orange juice, the pastry was mediocre. We were traveling a lot for past few months, and it was probably the worst breakfast among our stays.

I felt the property was very stylist. The dining area , high patio and rooms were well appointed. We especially liked the dining area.

Great location. Get a room with a view ask for higher level room. Extremely quiet even though it’s on the main drag because it’s strategically locates behind a lower structure. Good breakfast in charming patio. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect, and the view is exactly the same as seen in the photo, which is breathtaking and warrant the most spectacular sunset in Nice! The room is comfortable, good facility, nice breakfast, and really friendly and helpful staff. We’ll certainly come back again.
