Made Hotel, New York

Very friendly staff, very welcoming and accommodating when I arrived! The little touches such as welcome drinks, umbrellas for the rain and delicious coffee in the lobby made for a luxurious stay. The lobby was comfortable to work from and the bar had great late bites

One of the two elevators was not working. Had a long wait to get an elevator during busy times of day.

Friendly staff, good vibe

The hotel was aesthetically pleasing and the staff were really friendly - when we checked in we'd just missed the complimentary wine period, but were given some anyway, which was a lovely surprise after a long journey! The bed was super comfortable and the complimentary toiletries in the room were lush.

The bathroom door needs to be looked at - I fully closed it whilst having a shower and found myself stuck in there. We prised it open in the end, but it needs a more substantial handle! Also, the signage on the outside of the building could be clearer.

This hotel is incredible! The location is excellent, less than a ten-minute walk from Penn Station. The rooms are stylish, not your standard cookie-cutter hotel look. They are gorgeous with very comfortable beds and luxurious showers. They were also quiet and had a good view. The staff was wonderful, we were celebrating a birthday and they left a nice note and a sweet treat for the birthday girl, which was so incredibly thoughtful. They were also very accommodating. We arrived early to drop off our bags, but they let us check into one room early which gave us a chance to freshen up before heading out on the town. We also requested to have the rooms on the same floor, and they gave us neighboring rooms - above and beyond!

Nothing, this is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had.

The location is unbeatable—just steps from the city’s most iconic attractions. The space is impeccably clean, and the service is top-notch. A special shoutout to Nihed, whose warmth and attentiveness truly made the experience unforgettable

Outside patio used by others when supposedly for guests only. Tatty , eg cigarette butts in plant pots. On at least four occasions, Good Behaviour bar/lobby bar given over to private events!

Incredibly well located, there is a subway station very close by so easy to get around the city. Very close to the Empire State Building too. Free wine & coffee provided each day, which was a great touch. Staff were very attentive, we requested an extra pillow and it was delivered to our room in less than 5 mins.

The hotel is well located with less than a ten min walk to Penn station. There are some nice restaurants and grocery/drug stores nearby for supplies. The wifi worked well. The shower pressure is excellent. The hotel extended our check out by two hours which helped us get everything sorted before our trip to the airport. The bed is very comfortable but on a platform about two feet off the floor instead of a traditional bed frame. This was fine for us as a couple in our early 40s but might not suit an older person or anyone who has difficulty getting on/off low surfaces.

Location was PERFECT! So close to major attractions. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Free tea and coffee was much appreciated as well.

The room itself was nice - comfy bed, clean, strong wifi. The location is also great - close to Penn Station and accessible to the subway, and close to restaurants - making it easy to get around.

The lounge was incredibly crowded at all times - we couldn't find seats for all three of us to gather. I also wish there was a more substantive option for breakfast or coffee in the room.

Very good location when visiting NYC. Very comfortable twin bedded room which was big enough for 2 adults. Rooftop bar an added bonus. Plenty restaurants nearby.

The reception staff. Lucas was friendly enough , but the rest of the reception staff were disappointing. Our expectation of a $645 per night hotel is of a friendly welcome , smiles and a sense that we the guests matter . None of this seemed to be the case .The reception staff were lacklustre, disinterested in us as guests and broadly unhelpful. I am therefore very surprised that Mr and Mrs Smith recommend the hotel so highly and that the Booking.com rating is so high . Such a shame . This didn’t in any way ruin our experience of a fantastic stay in New York . I really do think however that the reception staff need to raise their game big time !

Lovely staff, very clean and maintained very well. The location is excellent right at the heart of Manhattan. The staff were very attentive and even offered a lovely gesture to help us celebrate our anniversary. 5 star all around.

The communal areas are full of students and no space for guests to sit which was a shame.

Full of students on laptops so we couldn't sit and chill in hotel lobby. First room very noisy but we got moved. Only 3 hangers for clothes - so couldn't really unpack

— Clean, stylish, and well-maintained property. — King Room with City View did not disappoint—bed was large and super comfy. Huge panoramic windows, crazy view. — Some reviews mentioned poor noise insulation, but our room was surprisingly quiet. We only knew we had neighbors because we saw them in the hallway. Occasional hallway and elevator noise, but nothing that disturbed our sleep—just typical hotel sounds. — Wall unit serves as a TV area, clothing rack, and fold-out table. (Would’ve loved a mirror nearby to use it as a vanity.) — Prime location in Koreatown, surrounded by great spots and amazing food. — Daily room service was reliable and consistent.

The daily $30 “Curation Fee” wasn’t unexpected but still felt deceptive. The only real perk was 10% off food & bar, but unless you’re spending $300 a day, you don’t make use of the fee. The “free drink” is the cheapest item on the menu, and Wi-Fi should be free anyway. No mini fridge, no gym, no included breakfast, and overpriced snacks. The fee feels like a slap in the face. Shame such an otherwise great hotel uses this shady scheme.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both to celebrate my birthday and when my flight home was cancelled (assisting with potential additional night and later cancellation of that extra night as no longer required!) - they were also just generally helpful and kind whenever I interacted with them. Hotel is beautiful, well-located, stylish, quiet and with lovely rooms and facilities.

As others have noted, lighting can be too low in some areas. There was no door on the bathroom in the room, which if you were staying with someone else might not be ideal. I would have loved a tea kettle or coffee maker in the room, rather than having to go down to the lobby, but the tea/coffee from Paper was always very lovely!

Curation fee of $30 dollars per night for a glass of wine 'on the house' and some mediocre coffee. Throughout our 4 night stay, we made use of this once, not realising we were actually paying for it. $120 for two filter coffees and 2 small wines is pretty bad value.

Great room, quiet, clean, good amenities and good wifi. Perfect for a work trip but would equally have been good for a couple on a city break. Liked the coffee shop / bar area - was pleasant to sit and do some work in the mornings here and was buzzy in the evening. Quick access to the subway and walkable to Times Square etc

The coffee shop got very busy - a testament to the coffee! But meant that sometimes it was difficult to find a spot to sit in the lobby area. The wifi was very good but you have to log in every day

The room was very neat and spacious. Although there are no closets there were storage spaces under the bed and on the hangers. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

Issue with heat in our guest room but they quickly moved us.

It was really lovely - clean, bright, simple design. Comfortable too and the bathroom was gorgeous - fantastic shower. The staff were so very lovely - very helpful. We had to have maintenance see to our safe - such quick and efficient service. I liked that it was quite small and less corporate feeling that some tourist hotels. The coffee shop was lovely.

The room was a little smaller than I expected given it doesn't have wardrobe or any other storage space. So it was a bit like camping (we were two friends/colleagues) in a twin room so 2 x stuff. We didn't mind really but somewhere to put our cases would have been good - I was there for 6 nights.

The location was outstanding - perfect to walk everywhere - Empire State, Times Square, the High Line, Broadway! The staff were so welcoming and we had a lovely surprise on my partner’s birthday a bottle of Prosecco and a card! The hotel has a great relaxed but luxurious vibe and it was perfect to relax in the long area with a drink and a bite to eat after a long day of visiting. There are great restaurants nearby for Korean specialities but also every other kind of food. The free tea and coffee and the welcome drink all very much appreciated.

Really great hotel. Fantastic location with good access to all of Manhattan. The room was lovely - comfy bed, good shower, very little outside noise despite being on a relatively low floor (3rd). All the staff, in both the hotel and the coffee shop in the reception area (excellent coffee) were really nice and couldn't be more helpful. Overall, highly recommended.

The aesthetics of the hotel are wonderful; lots of character. The staff was very helpful - we were able to check in very early at 1pm, they gave an orientation at check-in, brewed free tea, and held our bags at no extra charge on the last day. The location is also fantastic.

The restrooms of the room we stayed in had some cutout windows going into the main room so you can see throughl unnecessary and can be awkward for some guests.

Great hotel in central Manhattan, coffee shop and bar downstairs had a good vibe & the free wine & filter coffee was a really nice touch. Room wasn't huge but that's to be expected in New York, lighting in the bathroom could've been slightly brighter & more storage would have been helpful. But these are just minor critiques, would happily stay here again.

Stylish, clean, comfortable and excellent base from which to explore New York. Staff were friendly. Great cafe and lobby bar has a great vibe.

Everything was very comfortable and easy going. The Debajo Restaurant is absolutely delicious and has a great selection on mocktails.
