Gorgeous design. Very friendly staff. Lovely facilities. Gym on the roof has a brilliant view. Katz’s deli on the corner. Great restaurants in the street. Amazing neighbourhood. Nook with a toasty fireplace in the bar is reserved for in-house guests only which makes you feel at home.

The Ludlow really exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent for exploring Manhattan on foot, our room was fantastic with a great view, the bar was cosy and a lovely place to crash after a long day and all the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We didn't manage to use the gym but it looked great and well equipped.

The air conditioner/fridge in our room were very noisy but this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise very good stay.

My room was ideally adjacent to the elevator. The staff was solicitous and helpful. I liked the relaxing lounge area in the lobby and hotel location was convenient.

The inside door lock didn't work but was quickly repaired. The toilet was difficult to flush. The bed was very comfortable but the room was smaller than I'd expected or would've liked. And the lighting fixtures, while attractive, emitted insufficient light, not at all suitable for bedtime reading. The rate was okay and I would've been willing to pay more for a larger room if one had been available. However at another NYC in which I'd stayed previously, rates and amenities were similar but coffee/soda was served all day in the lobby/lounge area at no charge to guests + there was a free lite breakfast in the restaurant; and that is my favorite amenity!

We seemed to always wait a while to be able to get the lift to either come tot he lobby (which created a bit of a bottle neck) or to the room floor.

Great bed. Loved the loveseat and chairs in the room. Nice view. Excellent bathroom and luxe shower. Lobby was comfy and great place to spend some time outside of the room.

The staff was fantastic. The terrace was super nice, but the room was small.

The room was extremely small, barely fit the bed. But from what I understand this is normal for NYC. Coming from California, I am used to a larger room, with desk, table and larger end tables.

Cost of stay. That the TV was not a smart tv. Mirroring input did not work for apple. Would’ve liked the option for better/brighter lighting in the room as well as the moody warm lights.

Nothing to dislike unless you want a big corporate hotel ….and if you do, then this isn’t the place or part of New York you want to be!

Staff is friendly and welcoming. Food at dirty French is always spectacular. Double room was actually spacious and very comfortable. Lightening in bathrooms definitely improved.

3rd time at the Ludlow, the first time 8 years ago, and the hotel remains very well maintained. Staff very nice and competent, breakfast and lunch at Dirty French also good. fitness room on the top floor is small but well equipped and has a gorgeous view over manhattan (also check out the patio for your morning coffee)

Love the double room. Size is great and the beds are so comfortable. Love the location and easy of access to the downstairs bar and restaurant.

They were amazing! Accommodated early and late check in. It was our anniversary and they gave us a card and complimentary chilled champagne. Rooms are beautiful and well kept. Detail goes into everything. Experience was wonderful.

Very stylish and cool hotel on the Lower East Side, with a great vibe; very comfortable bed and although the room was compact, had lots of great storage; the shower was fantastic and really appreciated the friendly staff.

Figuring out switching between using overhead shower and hand-held shower wand was a bit complicated, but after some experimentation it made sense enough.

Friendliness of the staff

One of my favorite hotel stays of all time — it's so clean, luxe, interesting, and comfortable. It was just me and my 11-year-old daughter who stayed and we felt like queens. The big bathtub in our room looked over the city, which was just EVERYTHING.

There was only one thing that really annoyed me about the stay. I had come in after a long day of walking in the city and had my feet up on a footstool in the lounge. And a server came up and very snootily told me to take my feet off of it. When I pay $600 friggin bucks a night and am a paying customer having a beverage, I'd like to be able to get comfortable. I wasn't being disrespectful to the vibe or the furniture. It literally is a footstool.

Loved the quirkiness and attention to detail of the entire decor including room, restaurant, bar areas. Excellent food in the restaurant. Service standard was excellent. Loved the location in this vibrant area of Lower east Manhattan.

The bar area was buzzy and fun. Most of the staff were friendly and upbeat.

Our check in experience could have been better Not the most friendly welcome I've ever had. Not enough storage space in the room. Very little wardrobe or drawer space.

The double room we had was perfect for us, 4 adults, (2 parents plus 2 adult daughters). We were out most of the time so was fine. Location is amazing.
