Great hotel - quintessential New York

A few of the breakfast waiters were unhelpful and a little rude

The Marlton is a gorgeous cosy hotel in a great location close to everything. The rooms are small but have everything you need and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The bar/lounge is the ideal place to relax and people watch.

Room was too small to unpack a suitcase in and there was very little storage space. Ok for 1-2 nights but for longer stays like ours we had to live out of our suitcases pushed under the bed. Bathroom had no heating and in sub zero temperatures outside it was pretty chilly

Our room was TINY! Only had room to walk around the bed. Nice size bathroom and shower though!

The property was comfortable, nicely decorated and chic. The staff was kind and incredibly accomodating.

The environment

It’s my home base whenever I travel to NYC. Anytime I’ve stayed at another hotel I wish I’d stayed at the Marlton. The vibe of students in the lobby, coffee by the fireplace and the luxe cozy decor keep me coming back.

The rooms are minuscule, but that’s ok.

The hotel is in the perfect location. Clean, quaint, and the staff made it feel like we were the only guests staying there with the hospitality and friendliness.

Historic building, great location, exceptional complementary snacks, lovely decor.

Breakfast options were uninspiring and bland. Very expensive and wasn't worth the extra money to stay in this boutique hotel.

The beautiful lobby area and the charming decor make this my favorite place to stay when I visit Manhattan. The complementary breakfast is far above what most hotels offer in terms of quality.

Fabulous location (close to nyu) Very active restaurant & bar with a cozy fireplace. Staff was fantastic. Room was tiny, but comfortable bed & great shower pressure. Woukd stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful. We loved all the complimentary snacks in our room. The breakfast being right down stairs in the mooring was also excellent.

We got the petit room and it was smaller than we expected, but fine for the amount of time we were in our room. The pillows could have been better, but honestly we had no complaints.

This little gem sparkles so bright in the West Village ... location, linens, vibe...it was the biggest, warmest hug on the coldest two nights of December

Location was ideal... nestled in a village but close to 5th Avenue too. And easy access to subways and amazing restaurants!

The rooms are small. All rooms in NY are small but these are extra small. And the lobby/lounge was always crowded so hard to "get away" and have space.

The hotel is buzzing, it’s a meeting place for professionals as well as a cosy spot for guests. In winter it was perfect

I know the property warns that the rooms are small.. they really are. We could only manage by keeping clothes in the suitcase under the bed.

The location in Manhattan was prime, service was accommodating and very cordial. The hotel's decor is truly charming.The food served in Chez Nous was sumptuous.

The room was comically small. There was barely any room to even change.

Lovely hotel and always our go-to when visiting New York - cosy, friendly and low-key. The staff can’t do enough to help you. Sadly, someone was smoking in the room next door to us and they moved us to a different floor immediately with no back and forth! So happy to have this place to come and rest in while in New York.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, loved the cozy lobby bar and restaurant area, great location in Greenwich Village on a lively street with plenty of great restaurants to walk to.

Rooms are tiny which we expected. Not a huge deal but definitely a little tight with 2 people and bags. Could offer better storage for such a small space with more hooks etc.

Breakfast at Chez Nous was a wonderful surprise. Clean rooms full of character and charm. Any amenities we could wish for.

The small room was well arranged and elegantly appointed, with a high quality mattress and bed linens. It also was quiet. The small bathroom was likewise elegant and functional. The hotel's common rooms and its French restaurant, which served as a breakfast room, were very attractive. The breakfast included with the room cost was excellent, and coffee was available for takeaway too. The hotel's location in Greenwich Village near Washington Square Park was very good for walking to many attractions, and also was convenient to the West 4th Street subway station with many lines. The area also has many parking garages, including across the street. The hotel's staff were very friendly and helpful. The room featured complimentary snacks and drinks.

The small size of the room meant that it lacked counter space, desk space, a dresser, and any seating other than the bed. The bathroom also lacked counter space. Television options were limited. The cost was high.

I want to make this our official location where our team meets every time for a company meeting or book launch. Everything was perfect, from dinner to the charming rooms to the meeting spaces to breakfast.

Sometimes the waitstaff moves a little too fast to get their attention, lol.

We will be back! Great location - the common areas are very inviting and cozy - a great place to hang out. Continental Breakfast was included. Rooms are very small / dorm like but beautifully decorated with crown molding on the ceiling-and modern twists.

Room size - the room was ok for one person - not even room for a chair. However, I was surprised how quiet the room was in such a busy neighborhood.

I liked the location, the vibe and decoration of the lounge area. The complimentary breakfast and mini-bar were a nice surprise.

No staff help for checking in. I was traveling with 2 big suitcases and one golf bag and no one helped me to move the luggage up and down the stairs.- the lounge area staff seemed overwhelmed and not well trained on a SOP. Yet they were nice but looked stressed.

The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Our bed was comfortable. The restaurant was amazing and the location was perfect for us.

The room was smaller than I expected especially for the amount of money paid to stay there but can appreciate it’s this way for a number of reasons, including location and the poorly performing $AUD

Room though small was thoughtfully appointed, so it felt embracing. The sink and shower water warmed quickly. The lighting was indirect yet natural, as if sunlight were coming through more than the actual window on an alley. The "complimentary basket of snacks" was 3x more than anymore I've ever stayed. Temperature of the room was even and comfortable.

Nice historic boutique hotel at a great location. The decor is mostly beautiful and classy. My husband loves the complimentary snacks and water bottles. The bar and restaurants are charming and romantic.

Room is quite small. No room for storage of luggage or drawers for clothes. Although, the hotel decor maintains its regal charms but to our dismay, the large industrial black ceiling lamps were ugly and imposing and didn't fit with the room's decor design.

Loved the room, it was beautifully decorated, gorgeous aesthetic, comfy bed, windows opened which I always appreciate, continental breakfast was next level, even included a barista which was incredible. Lobby was cozy and inviting, the staff were all super friendly. Great experience.

The historic building with it’s grand history of having accomodated bohemian figures in the past.

Location, location, location!

The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t open the bathroom door fully because it hit the bed because the rooms are on the small size. However, for the amenities that you get, it is well worth it.
