Wombat’s City Hostel, Munich

The rooms were sufficient and had good storage areas, plus the laundry facilities though a little complex were suitable. I liked the social areas as well which were really sweet, along with the bar. As it was very central by the main station it meant that the area was a little rougher but not by any means bad and very convenient.

Overall ambiance garden area, bar, breakfast area, reception area and the staff are super cool - helpful and the best place to stay for solo travelers with young mind irrespective of age - You will never feel lonely (like in hotels) being around the young and vibrant crowd. I strongly recommend this place for the vibe!!place and environment. Having said that they should improve the room conditions with AC, Ceiling fan, some good room freshness etc to improve the room conditions.

The location is great! Very close to the main station, the room is spacious. I like the common area, very cozy to just sit there and relax

No Aircon in the room, i stayed for 3 nights in the summer and it was so hot at night, no shower gel/soap provided.

There was karaoke on a little over midnight or till midnight while the notice said it would shut down at 11pm. Dorm mates too were folks making noise till 2am

Location of hostel is excellent and the sitting lobby and Reception staff good 👌. Communication was easy. Hostel had the cool vibes. Good place for solo traveller Cool pub 🍷

Only one pedastel fan to cool the room. As it was not enough for bed of six. Room color was dull, could have been better with color play which would give the rooms the Munich feel.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The hostel is very near the centre and the Hauptbahnhof. It was very clean and spacious.

In rooms on the 1st floor, even if you open all the windows, the humidity and temperature is very bad, you will sweat all night, there is no air flow.

Very good location, well organized hostel, nice, lively atmosphere with quiet rooms nevertheless.

A bit expensive for a dorm in my opinion, and the lack of air conditioning was a bit annoying during this very hot summer day.

- Great breakfast choices. - Really clean. - Amazing staff. - Additional toilet facilities, which really helps when staying in dorms. - Comfy beds.

- No organised social activities. - No curtains in bunk for privacy. - Small kitchen that closes at 10pm (I was often all day and back after 10pm but really wanted to make myself some tea etc. but didn’t have access to facilities). A really small thing.

The Indian staff needs customers support training, rest is good

Really good location, right next to the main train station. Staff were friendly. Has individual lockers inside the rooms.

First of all, the first thing I want to say is that it is really very central hostel. I reached from the airport in about 35-40 minutes. It is very close to the S,U area. In my opinion, all the historical places you can visit can be visited on foot starting from the hotel. Nymphenburg Palace and Starnberg are 20 minutes by train (definitely visit both). There are many places to shop towards Marienplatz. 10 minutes on foot from the hotel. 6 rooms are very nice. Toilet and bathrooms are clean. The staff is very helpful. Internet works well. Beds is not bad too.

The price increased dramatically from one week to the next because some huge trade show was in town. That plummeted the value one could get from sharing a room...$90.00 USD per night is ridiculous, onerous and predatory.

Very convenient location near the main train station. Fun atmosphere and decent kitchen facilities/hang out space. Rooms are spacious and pretty clean.

The front desk staff at this hostel is exceptional and seem genuinely interested in helping you have a great time. The atrium is a nice place to hang out.

Request a room on upper floors for less party atmosphere. The bathrooms in both rooms needed a good detail.

The location of the host is perfect, close to the bus & train stations. Also centrally located with access to most major tourist attractions.

I wish they had curtains around the beds. Would have helped with a little bit of privacy in the dorm.

The people i met in the hostel Also a really nice common area to chill Personal was really friendly On the wall was a lot of information about places you could visit, restaurants, bars, clubs, but also museums and places to go to, and where to get groceries and stuff, really convenient

It was pretty hot in our room, but i heard from other guests who were in another room that that was only the case in our room so maybe just a bit bad luck. The bar was a bit empty and not really the vibe so we went to another hostel for that part

Great location. Near the Hauptbahnhof station. Near old town, can walk to every main attraction. The hostel has a bar and a nice common area. Have lockers inside the room to keep stuff and have a bathroom inside the room which is very convenient. The bed is comfy. The room and bathroom are clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is all perfect for me

The bar is noisy some nights. It wakes me up in the middle of the night sometimes.

Overall, pretty good experience and would come again. Perfect central location

I think the only thing really is that there was no AC, and in the summer I’ve noticed Munich can get very hot. So because of that, we had to keep the window open and fans on, which were not sufficient to be honesto and the open window brought in noise from the street.

Gemeutlich atmosphere in quiet street near haubtbahnhof & near the center. Quiet spot also nice bar & good breakfast. Support by obstacles like upload telephone & plug in right. Thanx.

No complain it was all good

It's very near to the train station and the shower room is clean.

The mattress has been used for too long and the middle part has sunken in, which is uncomfortable for sleep.
