The spacious room and the clean toilet

There were 3 steps stairs before you reached the elevator. If you're carrying heavy luggage it's a bit difficult. There's no changes in the breakfast menu for 4 days straight of my stay there,you can get bored easily. The bathroom is a little small.

The kitchen isn’t open until 7-7:30 which is a problem for early risers

The common room downstairs on the ground floor is comfortable, good for working and easy to meet people. There are activities in the evenings. The location is super close to the Trains, Trams and Subway! And reception is open 24/7. The room and facilities are clean.

The mattress was a bit thin for my liking so the beds could be more comfortable. The rooms and facilities are a bit outdated so I think the value for the price is not quite even. Others might think differently but after traveling other cities and seeing hostels, that’s my opinion.

This location overall was good. The hostel stay was overpriced due to Oktoberfest but that’s something you can’t really avoid. The hostel was clean and safe, the staff was friendly. Laundry facilities worked well and as described.

Hostel charges you for towels and bedsheets: if you’re spending over 5,000€ for a six person room for 5 days, it feels stingy to charge for towels.

Small breakfast selection, no eggs or sparkling water. Had many people come in and out of room during stay, made it hard to get good sleep. No curtain for bed. Bring a towel if you decide to bathe.

Bed was crunchy/noisy, access to shower very small. Breakfast was too basic (no juice, no fruit). It used to be better.

It's close to the city center. It was quiet at night. You can leave your luggage for some hours if your journey continues later and you are already checked out. The lockers.

The girl that attented me when I arrived at night was not very kind but seemed kind o annoyed by the fact that there where guests coming. The staff the other was very nice though. The showers - No space to put your things.

Free towel would be great.

Each night people came crashing in between 1-4 AM in the roomand. I suggest just having a room where all people after a certain hour must go and then they can be moved to their longer stay room. This helps the other customers sleep while people come in at all hours.

I didn’t find the bunk beds comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming

Nice hostel, good social area and bar, relatively well stocked kitchen. Really excellent location, which was great with the rainy weather!

Spotlessly clean and felt very safe and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the staff were lovely. Great seating area, vending machines, and bag storage for if you get there early.

Lack of curtains on the bunk beds. I also stayed at the other Wombats hostel in the city on this trip and they did have curtains and it added an extra layer of privacy and helped block light when other people got up etc. the other hostel also had its bar/cafe open all day and I much preferred that. I would have used it very often but it closes after breakfast and doesn't open until the evening. I missed being able to get a beer and a sandwich. It was also crazy expensive for a hostel at around 100 euros a night.

Located in the heart of Munich, it was to be expected that it would be crowded and busy. We were able to make our way around but it was challenging. Not at all Wombat's fault. This was everything you could expect from a hostel. The staff was courteous and friendly. The rooms were clean and repaired quickly if needed. Breakfasts were good and satisfying.

The beds were not as comfortable as other places but still adequate. The showers and elevators are very small.

I know that it may not be the faults of the hotel. But the next time, try to distinguish those clients who smoke and who don’t. Staying in a room full of smokers is kind of stressful and painful.

The staff was really helpful. I broke my phone and they helped me to find the store to repair it. Since I was traveling alone, it was vital. Breakfast was nice and tasty.

The room is not so beautiful and new as in the photos, but still really nice and comfortable.

The bed socket and bed light did not work, there was no coffee- to-go at the breakfast place for people who would just like a coffee at hand to hurry to a train.

The dorm room was set with a communal table, making it a great incentive to chat with new friends. The location was great, next to the main train station and close to supermarket, restaurants and retail shops.

The hotel is fine. I think it is aimed at a younger clientele, but it was fine for an overnight stay. Breakfast was a bit basic, but OK.

Nice social hostel, everyone was so nice and the common spaces are great. Very close to the train station and main attractions in Munich.

My only complaint is that the kitchen isn't open all the time, only from 7.30-10 which I thought was weird as a lot of people would still need to use it outside those hours.

Unbeatable location as its right across the street from the main station. All the facilities are clean.

Single person lifts :( but I guess with the space they have thats all they could fit in.

The double room was really cozy and full of light. The location is absolutely perfect.

Central location, value for money

Staff were so so lovely! Reception were helpful with everything from exchanging notes to coins and storing baggage and printing tickets for us. Bar staff were great fun and the hostel is lively and social. Unlike the other Wombat hostels you get a fitted sheet which makes the beds SO much easier to make. The cleaners were in the rooms and halls every day so it was one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in!

A little close to the station so young/solo/f travellers might not feel super comfortable, but I found it okay as long as I didn’t walk around alone. You have to pay for washing machines and towels etc.

Probably due to the Adele concerts on the weekend, the price was quite expensive (for a hostel) - but the typical prices are significantly lower and very fair for the service offered!

Close location to train and old town

Breakfast was very weak and mattress I think was the same from 20 years ago when I stayed.

The staff was very friendly. It seemed safe.

Everything was just fine and I am happy with my stay, but charging extra to use a towel was a bit extreme.

Only stay here for the train next day. Excellent location just outside Munich Hbf and friendly staff. The breakfast is good and the facility is clean. All in all, good value for what you paid.

The locker in each room is small and you probably need to use the luggage room on the ground floor if you have more than one luggage

So close to Munich station. Walking distance to several sites. Laundry facility. Luggage storage option before/after check in.

Had to put on sheet on bed and cover on duvet/pillow. No hairdryer in bathroom. Staff not very friendly. This isn’t the hostels fault but if they had some ground rules might make the stay more pleasant for others, people coming in to room very late and keeping their light on with no consideration for others.

The 8 bedroom dorm was quite roomy with a large table and benches in the middle. Everything was moderately clean and comfortable. Good location as it's right across from the Hbf and a quick walk to old town.

The bunk beds have flimsy wooden slats across them and while one of the guys in my room crawled into his bunk, one of the boards broke. I was then paranoid every time the guy above me got into bed. The water pressure in the shower is also quite pathetic.

The staff were amazing! Nitesh and Leia were superb service professionals always kind and ready to help. They made the stay friendly and inviting. Manager Alina was very helpful and empathetic with handling my queries. Awesome location just minutes away from Munich railway station.
