Motel One City West, Munich

The staff was an absolute delight. Very helpful and communicative. The breakfast was a good selection, tasty with vegan options and fresh bakery.

The facilities are old and not maintained properly. No signs of deep cleaning, only the superficial spaces or the facilities that you use directly. The bed was very unconfortable, the mattress was worn out, the pillows were hard, the air conditioning was not working. I could hear every single move of the neighbours, no sound proofing. Very dissappointing in comparison with other Motel Ones chain.

Comfortable stay. Clean and nice room. Friendly staff. 10 - 15 mins from Hauptbahnhof with tram which is not exactly very close but it works.

A few more amenities like electric kettle could improve the stay.

Nice place at attractive price if you do not need WiFi.

WiFi did not work in the hotel room; WiFi is essential when you're on a business trip. For this reason I will not return here.

I liked everything, e.g. the kindness and pro of the staff, design and clearness of the public parts of the hotel and the rooms. There was freshness in the air, not the tipical hotel "smell". When I arrived from some program I was thirsty so bad and in the bar there was a free lime-menta limonade, and when I asked some very cold drink the lady offered me a big portion of ice to my glass. If there was a tea in the rooms it could be a 4* hotel easily.

Comfortable bed and good shower. Had AC but never got cool enough for me due to the high temperatures.

The staff were the most unfriendly and unwelcoming we have encountered. They never greeted us, would not help with a taxi, explain the amenities of the hotel and basically acted like the hotel guests were in the way. We asked for assistance getting food late night after an event and they were not helpful at all. They were downright rude. Our first time visiting Munich and the staff at Motel One Westend gave us the worst impression of the city. Cold and unwelcoming. Hotel facilities were good. Front desk staff both at night and morning were awful. Won’t be back.

I loved the art of the hotel, Room was clean and bed was comfy. When you arrive there, tv welcomes you with a fireplace and you instantly feel relaxed. Quiet rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was really tasty and fresh. You can enjoy German products

Quite far from main station and city center by walk.

Hotel is pretty. The receptionist was kind and efficient. Is very clean.

Parking lot is very small and always full, there was never a free spot during our whole stay and the streets around the hotel are always full of parked cars, very difficult to find a parking place. We arrived at 4pm on a Saturday and there was no one from the hotel, no receptionist, no concierge, no bartender, no waiter. There was already quite a line at the reception for checking in and we had no idea what was going on. After around 10 minutes the receptionist came, she was very kind and very effective but she had to do ALL the jobs at the same time, reception, concierge, bartender, waitress, etc, there was no one else, so obviously she was totally overrun with work. Later on we came back to the hotel at 11pm, which is not that late, we were quite hungry, kitchen was already closed so I asked the bartender (now a different one that the receptionist of the evening) if he could tell us where we could find something to eat. He was extremely rude, and without even looking at me just said "I dont know". So we went out try to find something to eat, there was absolutely NOTHING open around, we had to drive to the train station to find a Mc Donalds, and again, was 11pm! so, location of the hotel is terrible!

Check-in was quick and hassle-free. The room was comfy, clean and surprisingly quiet, given the act that it was facing one of the big city streets.

The room doors are one of the loudest I'd ever heard at any hotel. The way to get out of the underground garge is absolutely not self-explanatory! Having to return to the reception to ask how to get out is more than a little annoying.

The staff was excellent. The bar was staffed by front desk staff…so open whenever we returned from our activities. walking distance from nearly everything, with tram out front. Very clean.

No closet space. Three hangers on hooks though.

The breakfast was nice but breakfast room is very small, hard to find free table and navigate with cup of coffee thru the crowd. First floor room window goes to the parking - cars are parked very close to the building, window is on the number plate level - not the best view)

The bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The hotel itself is very close to multiple transport links that take you to central munich or out of town. Also a quick walk from Munich westend and the Augustina brewery.

The room was a little cramped for two people but still manageable.

Super nice staff. I was even able to checkin earlier as I arrived earlier into the town.

I spent only one night in the hotel, as I decided to have a layover before continuing my journey. I was very happy to get access to the underground parking, and otherwise enjoyed the hotel room and my stay. The breakfast was decent and very convenient.
