Residency Hotel Fort, Mumbai

It was very cozy, peaceful and clean, you can hardly hear what was happening outside. Big cheers to Peter and Rajesh, they were really welcoming and helpful to me and my mom. :))

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the hotel. The entire staff is caring and professional, with a warm, family-like vibe. The rooms are small but cozy, modern, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need, including tea and coffee bags, cups, a kettle, a safe, and even ironing facilities. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and very satisfying, with a wide variety of options ranging from Indian to more Western, along with fresh fruit, juices, and a very tasty cappuccino! They also offer a comfortable lounge for early check-in or late check-out, and the staff remained attentive and helpful even after we had checked out. It was a short stay in Mumbai, and this hotel’s location, right in the heart of a vibrant and safe neighborhood, made it even better. I definitely recommend this place for solo travelers or married couples (note: couples must be married), and I’ll gladly return if I travel to Mumbai again. Thank you to the entire team for your warmth and professionalism!

The most friendly, helpful and honest staff. The room was very comfortable and clean. Airport pickup was a new vehicle with a friendly driver. Location perfect for accessing Fort & Colaba area. highly recommend!

Cleanliness, staff and breakfast all great!

The staff 100/100 Made us laugh and smile. Nothing was too much for them to help make your stay perfect, even running to the shops to buy us some lungi`s to get into some temples as we had no long pants. Casa was brilliant and all sorts of shapes in the coffee he made and Rejesh made us feel like family. Peter was always there for anything that I needed to do such as make a call and he just made translated it all and made it so relaxing. Thank you to everyone that works there you was brilliant.

Nothing to report. it was all 100% excellent it really was. We nearly booked to stay at the Taj palace, but so glad we didnt as it was full of tourists around the pool when we went to see it.

Everything, we were so happy with the staff and room that we extended for extra nights. All of the staff are exceptional in every way. We stayed here 15 years ago and were impressed. The rooms are spotlessly clean , beds comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic as is the room service food. ALL staff are polite helpful and friendly, a lot of hotels we have stayed in could take a lesson from this hotel. Highly recommend and would most certainly stay again . Thank you. Denise and Mark

A very affordable hotel, with exceptionally friendly staff and perfect hospitality in the Fort area of Mumbai, a busy business district. One can walk to the Gateway of India and take public transport to various areas of interest all around the bustling city.

It's had to fault anything. Rooms are small, but if you know Mumbai real estate, you would appreciate whatever ypu are getting for the room rates you are paying.

Rooms very small

Always happy to stay here when in Mumbai. The room is in the Heritage wing and had a balcony which was welcome. The place is well staffed.

The cooked breakfast needs a menu to choose from so it’s easier to communicate to the cook, fried eggs, omlette etc. But this is a small issue.

Service. The excellent fresh breakfast.

Booked a taxi to the airport. Told it would be a AC car. It wasn’t. Old black and yellow cab. Uber would be better.

The hotel staff is very polite and helpful, the breakfast was great. The room was quiet.

Too soft beds for our taste. I requested quiet room, the downside was there was not possible to open the window. The room and bathroom felt quite wet,we had to use ventilator a lot.

Friendly staff and great location

The breakfast area is just not large enough for the people it accommodates. We couldn’t sit together 2 out of 3 breakfasts. And had to sit and wait for seats to become available which then meant that you could not have a relaxing breakfast as you had to eat quickly to free the table for someone else .

When we came the room seemed somewhat small .....but everything else was amazing...The location was great... staff very helpful... we had a very pleasant stay. Will definitely come again

The staff was amazing and so kind! The breakfast has a great selection and also a coffee machine :) it's right in the city center, which is also good.

It was linda noisty and the room was rather small. The hotel itself is a hit dated and the shower just didn't work properly (the big and small shower head poured water simultaneously)

The hotel is located in a lively area, with lots of South Bombay landmarks within reasonable walking distance, and many restaurants and shops nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was fast and reliable. The staff are among the best I've encountered- warm, friendly, and efficient. This is a place with heart and soul- the type that's becoming harder to encounter these days.

The hospitality of every single member of staff was exceptional. Complimentary breakfast and cups of tea were very welcome. Deluxe room was a good size and excellent mid range hotel in great location for sightseeing.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived from the staff. The location was great and the room quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with a big choice.

Wonderful fresh hot breakfast served each morning up to 11.30. Waitering staff are friendly and serve you with a smile.

Club room is good and comfortable whilst the club heritage is very good and spacious

Great location on a quiet Kala Ghoda street with entertaining cats. Staff are very friendly and will help you out with taxis, bar suggestions and directions. Check out the Dali-esque detail on the outside of the Residency, formerly Handsome House. Breakfast is good and includes rotating regional specials like vada pav and pav bhaji as well as a mean masala dosa on request.

Some of the room fittings are starting to age. Room was quite small, but you don't get much for your money in south Mumbai. The breakfast room only has seven tables so is often full which means waiting a while.

I found the location to be excellent - within walking distance of many downtown attractions, which made exploring very convenient. The room had a comfortable bed The staff were welcoming and helpful, but I think more attention to hygiene would improve the experience - for example, handling cookies,inside the cups or forming the tissues with bare hands didn't feel very sanitary. On the plus side, breakfast had a good variety of options, which was a nice way to start the day

renewed hotel but still some issue with facilities ie hairdryer that they changed or ac didn't work first , ask technician to fix it.. narrow corridor, which often had both clean and used linens/towels left along the way the towel quality and cleanliness raised some concerns. small roo

Small room size

Exceptional service at reception. We stayed in the annex, which had large, comfortable room, with a comfy bed. Location was great - walkable to Colaba and the attractions, nice/safe part of the city. Characterful old style hotel.

Best service we have ever had in a hotel. All staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Well located to all major attractions and places to eat. Our room had a great outlook to the main street. Would definitely stay again if returning to Mumbai.

I highly recommend this hotel! The Club Heritage Large Room was exactly as described – spacious, clean, and with a balcony. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the location was excellent, perfect for exploring the area. I would definitely stay here again!

Such a nice stay at Residency Hotel Fort! The staff are all so so lovely - I felt completely at home and looked after from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast room is a beautiful place to sit in the morning, and the Indian breakfast options were absolutely delicious - some of the best dosas I've eaten in 7 weeks of travelling around India! Thank you for a lovely stay, I hope to be back one day.
