Staff were exceptional. Short 5 min uber ride to Gateway of India. 2 mins walk to Victoria Main Train station ( I wanted to get the night pics of the station lit up ). Rooms was very clean, comfortable bed, great shower. WiFi was good. Breakfast was great - also a big thankyou to Peter and Balu who were the best breakfast hosts and ensured I was very well looked after. The air con is great here too - building was a colonial fire station now converted to a hotel so is of great historical interest too. I had no issue with noise - a great comfortable stay.

The staff at hotel is amazing. Nothing is ever too much to ask for and they would go out of their way to help. Location was good. Did not realize until we went for a heritage walk. Safe to walk streets in evening and it is possible to walk to some sightseeing places.

Hotel is old and could do with an upgrade. Kept clean at all times which made up for the old furnishings and trimmings. Rooms are also rather small, this is typical of hotels in Old Cities. Despite this, the hotel was fully booked and we really enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Going from one wing to lobby involved walking outside and squeezing between cars.

Our room and bathroom were quiet , spacious and clean , A/C worked well , breakfast was varied and plentiful , the staff are very friendly and welcoming , we even had a free newspaper delivered every morning. The Fort area is well situated for exploring Mumbai , they also provide complimentary tea and biscuits in reception when you get back. Our congratulations to Gopal and his team for their efforts.

We couldn´t initially work out how the room key card worked.

Location, staff and breakfast was outstanding! Rooms are clean but a little small, which didn't really matter to me. It is in a very walkable location to great restaurants and sightseeing.

We loved our stay at the Residency Hotel. The location was amazing and the rooms were quiet and comfortable, with nice hot showers. But what really made this place exceptional was the staff, who were so friendly, kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. They were all amazing, but the team on breakfasts especially made sure we started each morning with a smile. Thanks so much. Missing the dosas already!

The staff!!! Everyone was so lovely and helpful. Being served tea whenever was a really nice touch. Organised visits and trips for me. Just really lovely welcoming people. Made my trip , would go back !

It’s an old hotel (1940) so not the biggest. Reminded me of a small Paris hotel. No restaurant. But more than made up for my the lovely staff. Felt homely.

The hospitality from all the staff at the hotel was impeccable from the start to the end of our stay. I was absolutely amazed how friendly and helpful the staff were and the manner in which we were greeted on every occasion.

There were elements in the room which were broken or damaged which could be fixed to make the stay better.

Club heritage large room - the room was very spacious well organised and clean. Bed was comfortable. Room was in adjacent building and the whole building seemed very new. Very nice lobby and modern lift and modern lighting etc. Location is great, short walk to cst train station and walkable to gateway of india or a short taxi ride. Breakfast was good with decent variety and service was excellent. The staff were amazing and very friendly

The window is not sound proof but our building was not facing the main road so never really had a problem throughout the 4 nights we stayed.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. We really appreciated the free chai. Breakfast was excellent and well prepared. Also, we enjoyed the beautiful street view from the window. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The only minor issue was a bit of mold in the bathroom, and occasionally a slight musty smell when coming back to the room. Other than that, everything was great and we had a wonderful stay.

Everything. The breakfast the staff were phenomenal!!! Omg a breakfast they made my sister's face with her glasses on in her cappuccino and a cat in in my small expresso cup!!! They provided the best service ever on every level!! The food was excellent everyday. Our room was perfect for 2 people. The location was perfect to walk to several major attractions! We loved our stay at Residency hotel Fort!! With sincere appreciation and thanks for making our stay comfortable but also the staff making us feel so welcomed. Staff is super nice. They managed to let us check in well in advance. They took care of everything and we felt taken care of.

Friendly, helpful staff. In particular concierge Rajesh and fun, helpful breakfast servers who always made sure we had enough to eat and drink. Excellent hot water shower and AC worked well in room. Many places to walk in the area as well as places to eat. Overall would recommend.

This our second stay at the Residency Hotel. The location is great, close to restaurants and the Gateway of India. The rooms are clean and a good size. They serve complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. The best thing about the hotel is the staff! They are all so friendly and helpful. Gopal looked after us, as well as the other staff, too many to mention. The breakfast was really good, dosas every morning and a good selection of other things. We will definitely be returning!

Having to leave!

The hotel is in a fantastic location near major attractions and the new metro line. My room was clean, modern and comfortable, and it was located in a separate building from the main reception which made it lovely and peaceful. The air conditioning was among the best I've had in a hotel, cooling the whole room while barely making a sound. Breakfast was delicious, especially the eggs cooked to order. Pretty much a perfect stay.

The area that breakfast was served in was too small, making it a bit busy and chaotic, and meaning you sometimes have to wait for a table or sit next to strangers. The hotel is also on the expensive side compared to similar places I've stayed in India.

Exceptionally attentive staff….great breakfast with western and Indian choices. Room was snug but very efficient and comfortable bed and linens. Rooms face a side street and it was quiet and calm.

Great staff from reception to housekeeping including Kesir, Bullo and Peter in the guest lounge and breakfast room. Always happy, helpful and attentive created a great friendly and welcoming 'home form home' atmosphere. Good size room for a Mumbai where space is at a premium, comfortable bed and good bathroom/ shower facilities. A calm. cool place to retreat to in between forays into the energy of Mumbai. Everything done to make waiting for departure time post check out comfortable. Good free wifi and complimentary tea and coffee.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us with all our questions and stay in Mumbai. The room was lovely and in a great location in central Mumbai - we definitely recommend

The location is perfect. A short walk through shady, tree-lined streets to the Gateway of India and other major sights. The staff were incredibly friendly and even held our bags for us from checkout at midday through to our overnight train at 10pm that evening, giving us the whole day to explore. The room was a little small but packed in a lot of amenities like a fridge, tea/coffee, even free toiletries like toothpaste. Breakfast was very good too with made-to-order dosas, waffles, omelette etc.

The room could do with a bit of a revamp. It felt a tad worn and our curtain fell down when we tried to close it on our first evening (the staff did get it fixed very promptly the following morning). That said, for its location, for the brilliant staff, and for the price compared to other hotels in that area of Mumbai, I would definitely recommend it and I would stay here again.
