Location, staff, quiet room

We had a great stay at Residency Hotel Fort in Mumbai. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and helpful staff, who made the check-in process smooth and easy. The hotel’s service was exceptional, and the team was always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast selection was quite diverse, offering both Indian and European options. The hotel itself is in very good condition. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, with no issues regarding the quality of the accommodation. The bathroom was well-maintained, and the hotel provided necessary hygiene kits, which I found thoughtful. Another highlight was the availability of hot water – something that isn't always guaranteed in India, but here it was reliable and consistent. Residency Hotel Fort is located in a prime area, just a 25-minute walk to the iconic Gateway of India, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Mumbai. Highly recommended!

Everything was good!

The staff were fantastic. They really looked after us and were absolutely hilarious, especially the workers in the restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised to have a room upgrade when we arrived. The food at the restaurant was really tasty. The services provided by the hotel such as currency exchange and airport taxi (very cheap) were great.

The hotel is very handy situated only a few minutes walk from Flora Fountain. It is equipped with clean and calm rooms with good quality interior. But the best thing was the staff: Since we got sick, the staff was very caring and hospitable and provided us with all the necessary help in this difficult situation, which was really amiable.

Breakfast is included and has many options, quality is okay but could be still improved.

Rooms fairly compact, a lot of noise from surrounding area, good breakfast, fairly pricey in comparison to other places we’ve stayed in India.

Very attentive and friendly staff. Great shower and spacious room to come back to after sightseeing. Very helpful for taxis and location was perfect to explore the Fort area

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Rajesh. He went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay at the hotel.

A little scrub of the bathroom wall especially the corners would be good bit of mould building up.

Very friendly staff in a great central location for visiting local sights on foot. Good value, clean and comfortable. Some nice restaurants close by and a nice breakfast.

The staff created a little oasis of calm in what is a often very frenetic city, a lovely place to return to, and start the day from. Great breakfast (get chef to do the fried eggs with all the trimmings).

Hotel is placed in a very good location, in walkable distance to view many architectural attractions. Staff at the hotel was extrimely nice and helpful. Mr Peter and his team at the breakfast will make sure you feel extra welcomed. Safe option for solo travellers.

The ongoing metro work nearby and the traffic chaos caused by the drivers of cars of local business men which just double park everywhere while waiting for their passengers to turn up in late afternoon.

Hygiene for the bathroom

I stayed in a club room as well as a standard room. The standard room is good value for money. The club rooms exceeded my expectations. Worth spending a little more and booked a club room. Breakfast was good. Staff members are very friendly and extremely helpfull. Lots of restaurants close by.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the breakfast was amazing, loved the masala omelette and dosa, as well as the iced coffee. They also helped me find a tour guide for a day tour.
