Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good and had nice coffee. We booked 2 tours from the hotel which were very good and informative.

Fantastic location right in the middle of Kara Gharha (Black Horse) district. Exceptional Hotel Staff Every staff member was very friendly professional and went the extra mile to provide exceptional service Our room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard every day Breakfast was fresh tasty. Restaurant team were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed getting to know them over 5 day stay Little touches like complementary afternoon tea was greatly appreciated. Would stay again and highly recommended.

The staffs were profesional, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is situated very close to CSMT Mumbai. Also close to Marine Drive and Gate way of India.

We stay at the Residency Hotel each time we visit Mumbai and its like coming home. No matter what time we arrive the staff are always happy and welcoming, they are friends to us. The breakfast is excellent and the room was spacious and clean. The service is outstanding and we cannot wait until our return.

My room was a suite room, "Gateway Suite". This was spacious enough. There are two suites in the hotel; the rest of the rooms are small. You do not have a lift to the suite; you may have to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. Others rooms are small.

The staff was amazing and so friendly, it was located near main road which has a lot of shops and places to eat, we really liked the area. Breakfast was also nice and you get complimentary tea throughout the day

Room on the smaller side which was tricky with luggage

Large room, very comfortable bed and furniture. Super bathroom and shower. Quiet location on a side street. The staff are very attentive, thoughtful and professional.

It’s not clear that they have three buildings all near each other- however- once that is clear, it’s all fine, as they are next to each other. We had wifi problems however the staff worked tirelessly to sort them out.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and the service provided by the staff was excellent; very welcoming without being pushy, and always ready to assist with even the smallest details. The breakfast was also quite good, especially compared to our previous hotel in Mumbai. One minor downside was that the smell from the food preparation tended to stay in our clothes after leaving the restaurant.

Our specific room was rather small, but since we only stayed two nights this was manageable. Also, when crossing a small alley to get to the street behind the hotel, we saw a couple of big rats which seemed disgusting. But of course, we realize that this happened outside the hotel and can happen everywhere in Mumbai.

A very good hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The room was a bit dated, and there was a slight smell of mold, but overall it didn’t cause any significant discomfort. The location is excellent — within walking distance of the main attractions, and just a 3-minute walk from the metro with a direct connection to the airport.

The staff were incredibly polite and made us feel right at home. The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from all the major sights and great restaurants. They even serve complimentary tea in the evenings and surprised us with a free upgrade! Would DEFINITELY stay here again if I’m ever in Fort — 10/10 recommend!

The hotel was in a quiet location with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Residency was a comfortable place to stay and the staff were very helpful. Definitely a 10/10 as far as service goes. Breakfast was great as well.

The rooms could definitely do with a little TLC. The bathroom was clean but could also do with a makeover. It's definitely not a dealbreaker though. I would have no problem at all staying there again if I were to come back to Mumbai.

An excellent location for our visit to Mumbai as very central - sorted out our trip to see the attractions of Mumbai at a very reasonable rate. The staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable. A great place to stay.

Its a small hotel- but staff is great, and so is the location.

The inly downside- small rooms sometimes. We upgraded to a bugger one because the original was just too tiny.

Friendly staff, clean, safe, great location

Was a lovely stay in Mumbai- the room was great with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. The breakfast had a variety of options and the location was ideal for south Mumbai. The staff especially Rajesh were very friendly and helpful.

I thought that the staff were excellent and really made you feel at home. I loved the lounge and as a tourist this was excellent as a place to relax and watch the cricket or read a book with as much masala chai as you like! It was also very close to the heart of Fort and not too far to walk to the Gateway of India.

I suppose the only moan would be the water tanker outside on the street keeping his engine on on the middle of the night.

Excellent location - can easily walk to all the main sites. Right by the metro stop - so easy to get around the city and straight to and from the metro in only 40 mins. This is our second stay and we came back because the staff are fantastic, and the breakfast is great.

On our second stay we booked a typical double room. We would recommend booking the deluxe room - where we stayed previously. The deluxe room is definitely worth the extra money.

Lovely property. Staff were excellent couldn’t do enough for you. Clean all the extra touches, paper ever morning delivered to room, water topped up daily.

The staff are so very friendly. The location is perfect for exploring the south part of Mumbai. They always have many repeat customers so clearly hey something right.

I cannot fail the staff. They were all amazingly polite, helpful and attentive. You really felt like after. We loved the breakfast room, bright and cozy; breakfast was varied with freshly made dosa on offer. The masala chai was amazing and it was great to have the opportunity to have a free cup in the afternoon, between 4 and 6 pm.

The bathrooms need a bit of TLC; wobbly sink, worn out mirrors, shower could be cleaner in corners. There were renovations going on in the hall on our floor when we went but no noise to complain of.

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city, within easy reach of many major attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. Breakfast each morning was excellent, offering a wide selection of both Western and Indian dishes, with eggs, dosas, and other items freshly prepared to order and tailored to personal preferences. The complimentary afternoon tea was a wonderful and very welcome surprise. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional staff. They were consistently attentive, courteous, and professional—especially the front desk team, which was always staffed and ready to assist. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe during my stay.

We liked the spaciousness of the room and the fact that it was in a separate part of the hotel which felt quieter. The cafe/sitting area provided a nice place to relax and refresh.

This hotel is a gem and the staff so friendly no matter what time of the day. The complimentary tea and coffee all day was welcome after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is walking distance to Gateway of India and Marine Drive with many eating choices within minutes walk. The Aqua line to airport is only 3 minutes walk from hotel at 70 rupees cheapest transportation to terminal 1 and complimentary bus from there to terminal 2. The only downside was the street noise which is not the hotel’s fault but on floor one was noisy

Had an amazing stay. The location is amazing, walking distance to gate of India, restaurants and everything you need. Never met a more welcoming and friendly staff! Special thank you to Peter. If I am coming back to Mumbai I know where I will be staying!

The staff were exceptional, they were friendly and helpful and no request was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious, particularly the freshly cooked eggs and dosas. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the historical centre, we found the nearby metro line useful.

The room we had was rather small and the furnishings and the bathroom were a bit tired and in need of updating.

We stayed in two different rooms due to separate bookings, and both were excellent. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and despite the very central location, it was surprisingly quiet. The bathrooms were modern and nicely designed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Breakfast was very good and generous, with a wide selection of egg dishes as well as delicious Indian options. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily return.
