Serving guests for over 100 years, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is a “Heritage Grand” class, five-star hotel in the Colaba region of Mumbai, India. It is situated next to the Gateway of India. The Cathedral of the Holy Name, National Gallery of Modern Art, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum and Cooperage Ground are all great tourist attractions located nearby. Simply known as “The Taj” to some, the hotel first opened its doors to guests on 16 December 1903.
Opulent in the extreme, the hotel is sprawled over 2.6 acres of land and boasts an impressive list of amenities including 10 restaurants, the Jiva Spa, the Taj Salon and landscaped pool. Lavishly designed decor and architecture extend to the guestrooms. They offer great views of the sea, city and pool. Every room features a flat-screen TV, a well-stocked minibar, free WiFi and an en-suite bathroom. There is even 24-hour butler service!

Sales & Reservations
Your central reservations system is a nightmare and a very bad experience. The systems are bad and people are plain bad - reading off from the screen.
Then comes in your sales and reservations team who only made the situation worser . You got to train them to get off from the high horses and come to terms with reality . They lack basic communication skills.

Fabulous stay in the heart of Bombay history
Lives up to the hype
If I’d booked closer to the time I’d have paid about 25% less which was disappointing.
Vegan food offering/labelling could be improved on especially in high tea and cocktail hour.
Can’t fault the experience though

Location of was good . Facilities were clean .Food was good
Check in staff was lost in the process. Even after giving them an hour it wasn’t done. Young lad Dhruv was smart took over and sorted it. Pool bar staff was fantastic. At times it felt that we had to tell staff things 3 times to get it done things such as checking , getting the bags on times , taxi. Japanese restaurant staff had to be told to get salt and drinks 3 times while they talking to each other . The gift shop had to be told we are in the rush pls pack quickly just dint happen

Experience class and luxury at Taj
Beautiful luxury room with a majestic view looking at the Arabian sea and Gateway of India. Plenty of water and complimentary fruits and snacks with tea/coffee available. One of the best hotel experiences of my life and would highly recommend. Beautiful bathroom where bath tub was the perfect size. Great gym and pool. Daily tours of the property if interested, markets and stores locally. Safe area where people/tourists were walking around 2/3 AM and an amazing night view. Staff are what truly make this hotel an experience to remember.

Wonderful historic building and great location
Wonderful historic building and loved the tour and history of it.
Construction noise. Also when checking in did not require our credit card as said we should pay on departure, we used the restaurant for dinner and then was woken at 11pm with a phone call asking for payment even thought we signed for the dinner upon leaving the restaurant.
