really friendly and helpful staff. the hotel is so cute and the breakfast is nice. i like that they can help you with exchanging currency at a good rate. close to everything.

I loved the hotel, Mumbai a busy sleepless city so being in 1st level at front can be noisy but I was aware of this prior and they supply masks and earplugs - I still slept well and the location makes up for it ..

Abobe Mumbai is a (not so hidden) gem in Colaba! What excellent location - close to the galleries and other sights in the area! Cleanliness was on point and the sheets were actually white and crisp! The real treat was the gourmet breakfast served on enamelware.

Too expensive! Although the property might justify room rates given the location. Return guest discounts and Subko coffee vouchers would be great!

This is a very nice boutique hotel. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. It is located very close to the Gateway India and Taj Palace. Our room was a bit dated, but it was a good value for the location. The breakfast was also nice!

Ceiling in room was quite low and can be a challenge for tall people, no window in room that could be opened which made it difficult to get rid of humidity (e.g. after taking a shower)

Breakfast options were limited but very tasty. Bathroom was very small and could do with a refurb- what appeared to be black mold in parts of the shower area.

We loved our stay! Location was incredible, breakfast was perfect. Staff was very nice and helpful. We would definitely recommend.

The only small area of improvement would be the humidity in the rooms, because the shower is in the room and in our room there were no windows.

Great staff, super location, fabulous breakfast. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Gateway of India and the Taj hotel. The location is in a very safe area with lots of bars and restaurants very close by. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming, the room was great (we had a room with en-suite shower facilities and a separate shared toilet - the toilet was fine - there was 3 cubicles which were always clean with fresh hand towels). The shared area is a lovely spot to relax, have a coffee or read a newspaper. The staff decorated the hotel and entrance beautifully for Diwali.

Amazing stay at the Abode Bombay. The place is beautiful and well situated to visit South Bombay. We liked the Ayurvedic massage.

Superior room with bathtub was so good and aesthetic.Every detail was taken care of..the reading lamp n books next to bathtub,the supercomfy bed with earpods n eyecover to shield from sound n lights..the furniture, bedlinen, window blinds complimented the historic architecture,the bath products were great..

It felt like a calming tranquil oasis amongst the busy Mumbai. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and the decor of the hotel was beautiful. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink, I got a delicious Chai.

Squeaky clean and centrally located. It is located in the heart of Colaba! The Gateway and and Taj Mahal Palace are within a walking distance. The streets around the stay are packed with great restaurants so you don’t have to worry about where to eat at all!

A beautiful oasis within the chaos that is India. The staff is amazing and we felt at home here.

It was a little noisy with the wrong people living in rooms close to you. When other guests are respectful and quiet in the night, it is actually quite calm and nice. I would recommend some guidelines for guests for solving this issue.

Front desk staff were not very cooperative when I ask to Check out 1 hour after noon. It took him 2 sec to replay that it was not possible even thought the hotel was half empty. Being a recurrent customer, I don’t appreciate such a lack of empathy. I was waiting in the cafeteria 5 hours as I had a late flight, and during that time I just saw 1 person checking in. Not impressed by this customer service!

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the breakfast was excellent. My train was late arriving so I was a bit worried about checking in after midnight, but it was no problem, the staff was welcoming and I was given an upgraded room! Couldn't have been happier!

Loved everything

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, Abode provides a calming environment. It is close to the Gateway of India, Taj Palace, and if youre a reader, the famous Leopold Cafe (a frequented place in Shantaram). Speaking of reading, the common area has a vast selection of good reads. Picture yourself in Legends & Lattes (It's that cozy and magical). The staff was very friendly and professional. The room and common area were clean. The little touches were very unique. Sleeping masks, ear plugs, slippers and turn down snacks were provided. The towels and bedding were of superior quality. The shampoo, lotion, hand wash etc., smelled amazing. There were no power issues and internet speed was great. I would also like to note that I stayed here two days after a major surgery. The staff made sure that I had everything I needed (including an extra bed for my sister). The charm, cleanliness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff; the location, -it just cant be beat. Far surpassed my expectations.

Clean and spacious suite located right next to Gateway of India. Makes it easy to travel on foot to most attractions. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

The location was perfect. While it was tucked away down a back street, it was a stone’s throw about from Leopold Cafe, the Regal Cinema and The Gateway of India. The breakfast was also lovely - a mix of fresh fruits, Indian, and continental foods available.

Amazing design. Perfect place where to stay in Colaba. Super clean and elegant. The staff did whatever possible to accommodate our needs. Great breakfast! A special thanks to Husna (from the taxi company that supports female drivers, in partnership with Adobe). She was very professional and kind!

The property was beautiful, an amazing introduction to India! Ashwini welcomed us and was so warm and attentive. Our room was super clean and the food was amazing! They had massages by blind people they worked with through a charity, yoga, and a beautiful area to work or study in upstairs. They were extremely accommodating when we asked to leave our bags and use the work area after we checked out. The location was fantastic if you want to be in amongst it!

The drain of the shower in our room was a bit smelly and we had shared toilets.

Staff, interior design, and breakfast was all sublime; and right in the best part of Bombay.

Location of hotel, standard of rooms and attentiveness of the staff all amazing. Wonderful hotel. Cant wait to go back. It was my first time in India and the staff arranged local tours for me during my stay, great value and wonderful friendly and knowledgable guides who all looked after me very well. Harsh, Vasu and Rajat were all fantastic as was Husna who collected me from the airport. Thank you!

I love every rooms that I had stay

Parking area not that comfortable to park. Pay and park is fine but have to pay extra for nonsense reason. If you can provide someone who can look after this will be better. Like pay direct to Abode then you guys can adjust something

Beautiful, modern accommodation It has everything we need like at home. Excellent staff team I will come back and stay here again if I come to Mumbai.

There's nothing I don't like.

I really enjoyed my stay at Abode Bombay. The staff was so friendly and ready to help. The hotel itself and the room in particular was clean, nice decorated with really good bed. The location s great close to the Indian Gate, Museums and surrounded by restaurants!

The stay at Adode was wonderful. Courteous staff, amazing collaborations and programs. The whole establishment is refresher for the soul! Loved the breakfast.

First of all the staff, from Nobert, Nileesh, Sadhana, and Ganesh to everyone in their team, even our driver Husna was attentive and friendly and turned out to be some great people. Secondly, we ended up booking the place for multiple dates and extended dates all was taken care of in time and very smoothly. We did not expect the location to be bang on the centre for the things we wanted to do. From museums to galleries and shops, we managed to walk to almost every area we wanted to go and see. From the breakfast to all the amenities provided was exceptional and we even ended up trying a few of their guided tours as well. (do recommend the Elephanta caves, temple and early morning tours) Amex is not accepted so keep other cards in hand, sometimes you might be bothered as the reception level rooms get outside noises seep into the rooms. Either way, highly recommend this hotel!

Look, this is not a 'hotel review'. I am an old-timer Bombayite. I don't live in the city any more but visit every now and then. Abode is in that part of Bombay where memories go back over a century. The building is a historic one, and so is nearly every structure within a couple of kilometres. What we look for, when we're back in the city, is some of the laidback but tasteful style and ambience to which we were accustomed in the 80s. Issa Sham is just the man, and has just the eye, to have put that together in Abode Colaba.

Liked everything! Rooms were clean, big enough and nicely decorated. Dining/Lobby area was beautiful. Do not forget to have a Mug of black coffee, it really taste good! Mr Nilesh was so helpful. We were reaching mumbai few hrs before chekin time and we asked Mr Nilesh in advance about possibility of early checkin. We were given room 3 hrs before actual checkin time. We are so much thankful to him. Hotel staff helped us on everything. Breakfast was really good, we enjoyed a lot. Hotel is located just near Gateway of India and Taj Hotel. Do not forgot to shop at coloba causeway market running 1-2 kilometer just starting from the nearby of Abode Bombay. Negotiate well with sellers, most of the time 1/3 to 1/4th of the price they sell at.

It was overall good stay, the staff was so attentive my sister had bad poisoning before coming and they went for the medication and give what we needed, the rooms are cute, but the basic ones do not have window, that is the only minus in the hotel

Its a quaint boutique hotel at a very prime location.. all foreign tourists. The staff is very courteous and even gave us a room upgrade! Special mention ms. sadhana:)

The staff were wonderful, breakfast was nice, I found the bed very comfortable, the pillows were great. Great location. I had an issue with my visa to India so had to cancel, but then the issue was resolved the next day and I was able to come. The staff were cery accommodating in reversing the cancellation and letting me stay.
