The idlis were delicious and we enjoyed exploring Colaba and Kala Ghoda!

We’ve stayed twice now at Abode Bombay. Can’t imagine a better place to stay in Mumbai. It’s just perfect👏👏👏👏

Authentic design, great food and charming staff

A characterful hotel with incredibly accommodating and helpful staff who arranged airport transfers with a woman driver, checked me in early, provided great coffee and a yoga mat ... the bed was super comfy and came with earplugs (necessary) and eye mask. Well located to walk around Colaba and visit art galleries.

It’s a very stylish hotel with lots of interesting design detail everywhere you look.

Staying on the first floor is really noisy. Mumbai is one of the noisiest cities for traffic I’ve ever been to so it’s not the hotels fault but double glazing might be an idea. Oh, and a fridge to keep water cold.

Felt like our temporary home during our 3 days in Mumbai. Good location to reach different areas in the city. Very very friendly staff! Very nice breakfast. We also recommend to visit the big museum nearby.

Lovely location, great staff who arranged amazing tours for us. Fun, trendy decor, great breakfast. They also offered us complimentary meditation session which was out of this world. Superb stay, I would highly recommend it.

Awesome location, loved the architecture and the staff were amazing. Great deal for the money’s worth and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Adobe Bombay. Will recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the best part of Mumbai and just few steps away from the Gateway of India and the lively Colaba shopping street.

Amazing place to stay in Mumbai! The location could not be better, a short block from the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and Gateway of India. Every detail has been carefully thought out and arranged from the hand drawn neighborhood map, the local cell phone to carry in case you get lost in the city, the beautiful vintage furniture, to the ear plugs— just in case! (We certainly didn’t need them, our room was so quiet and felt a world away from the busy city!) The staff were all incredibly friendly and extremely helpful, including our airport pick up! We felt so comfortable and relaxed with our amazing woman driver. The only thing I didn’t like about our stay is that it wasn’t longer. I hope I get the chance to come back and stay again.

This hotel is amazing - it is so friendly and helpful and they really care about the welfare and safety of their guests. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Its a little noisy- so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs! Otherwise nothing to complain about.

Everything was amazing, from the charming colonial style and homy atmosphere. Ashauani was very helpful with my dietary needs and time table. The massage by Amadi was absolutely amazing. And all the guest were very friendly and smily. This boutique hotel creates a welcoming and safe space in this busy Bombay. I highly recommend.

All of the staff were outstanding, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, as we navigated the last few days of our Indian adventure. We stayed on the 4th floor in a lovely spacious room. Please be aware that this is a heritage property and therefore there is only single glazed windows, so be prepared to bring ear plugs, as Mumbai city horns never stop! Room was comfortable, spotless and the hotel provides a really fresh approach to sustainability and supporting locals, which we loved. Such a memorable stay and thank you to the entire team for dealing with all our requests for help, with a smile!

We loved the cafe on 1st floor - our only feedback was it would be great if it opened before 10.30-11am for the barista coffees (as these were amazing and it would have been nice to enjoy these over breakfast), but we appreciated the option for filter coffee instead. Having some sandwiches or light bites available at the cafe would also be very welcomed. We appreciate this is an independently run business.

Great location in Colaba very close to the Gateway of India. Very modern vibe. Staff were lovely and helpful .. providing a packed breakfast when we were checking out early. Rooms were nicely decorated.

It was full when we stayed and the reception area felt crowded with people/cases. Our room was just off reception and overlooking the street so it was noisy but to be expected so not a real issue. Bathroom was tiny… hardly any room to move. The blinds where the rollaway bed was were quite dirty and not what I would have expected for the price.

The staff was very attentive and kind. Fantastic location.

The bathroom becomes really wet due to lack of divider.

Breakfast was very good.

The aircondition makes a lot of noise.

Abode is my go-to for stays in Colaba and Mumbai--it is so popular however that is always difficult to get a reservation! Every member of the staff is exceptionally kind and the location cant be beat. I have now stayed in a variety of rooms at Abode and each is excellent depending on your budget. The breakfast is super--and perhaps more importantly, the coffee is THE go-to coffee to have in Colaba.

There is no other place I would like to stay while in Mumbai. I have been returning to Abode since my first stay more than 5 years ago. The staff is outstandly kind and helpful, the place is tastefuly decorated, the beds are ever so comfortable, and the location is perfect. Abode is home away from home to me. Thank you to all the team for your heart warming welcome always.

Very good area in Colaba and the hotel gave great recommendations and even a drawn map! We loved the breakfast and the staff were always helpful at answering questions. The room was beautiful and natural.

Nothing comes to mind. Our taxi transfer from the airport was on the smaller side, so if you have lots of luggage and are booking then worth flagging that in advance.

It's a wonderful address to be taken care of in the heart of old Mumbai. The service and the facilities are outstanding. The staff is very professional and makes you feel right at home. It's quite simply the best place to stay in Mumbai.

The property was located in a great neighborhood. The staff were thoughtful and provided great recommendations for things to do in the city. The common area was a great spot to hang out, sip coffee, and enjoy breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Mumbai.

We loved staying at the Abode - a fun, affordable hotel in a fantastic location, just behind the gate of India. The breakfast area is a great place to hang out - and the breakfast was excellent. The staff could not have been kinder and more helpful. And it's great value.

The ceilings in the bedroom area are very low - though the hotel warned us of this after we booked, and the beams are padded, so though I sometimes hit them with my head, it was never a problem.

This is a lovely boutique hotel. I was surprised to find that the cheap, low ceiling room that I booked because I was in a bind was actually perfectly lovely, had a window and amazing service. It doesn't look like much from the pictures, but it's a great value in a hotel with lots of amenities.

This place has a really great vibe and design. Nothing is a problem which is a massive PLUS. The team is super helpful and they do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Staff gives their guests a lot of attention. I know that some people prefer to stay low key and do not get approached this often. It wasn’t the case for me but an observation I thought could be useful to share.
