Hotel Nelligan, Montreal

I really loved how luxe this property felt. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I had a room facing the atrium and was worried it’d be loud but it was very quiet at night! I love that the hotel uses le labo products it really adds a nice touch.

The only thing I’d say is the charging ports are quite far from the beds so the hotel should invest in some extension ports

1. Location: Right in the heart of Old Town, a ten minute walk from dozens of shops, restaurants, attractions, and the subway, which can whisk you away to points beyond.
2. The decor: The lobby is impeccably stylish. We loved the mixture of the old buildings with the modern. The room had plenty of storage for clothes and the amenities were lovely.
3. The staff: Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Had to be moved to another room late in the day as tv was not working. Second room tv not working properly. Think some maintenance may need to be addressed.

We checked in, then went to an event, got back late to find the air conditioning was not working!
Luckily Elizabeth P on front desk took control of the situation and helped move us to a new room with air conditioning immediately.
Enjoyed a good breakfast, and the roof top bar and the general decor and ambience
The Head Concierge Jonathan Hug was helpful with directions, suggestions, restaurant reservations etc

The Nelligan is centrally located in Old Montreal, within easy walking distance of good restaurants, cafes, art galleries and gift shops, and a block from the river. Our king bed and bath were very clean, bed was comfortable. The adjoining restaurant offered a very nice breakfast. The bar was lacking in a selection of Canadian whiskey, which was surprising.

Been to the Nelligan many times. It’s under major renovation at the moment as is the street outside. Still we love it and are returning very soon.

Lovely hotel and great location

Hotel was lovely, staff were very accommodating, but construction noise was an issue! They start working at 7 am!

This is located in a very nice area and it was a joy to browse around. Everything in the hotel looked new and sparkling clean. The room was quite spacious and tastefully arranged.

Location, staff, service. Restaurants are excellent. The bar area in Miss C was amazing and beautiful.

The Nelligan continues to be my favourite hotel in Montreal. The location is perfect, the staff are so friendly and it feels like home.

There’s a renovation happening, but it wasn’t very noticeable.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Luxury at an affordable price.

Has been a very good hotel and will be again once construction has been completed

Current construction issues

The blend of a combined 200 year old structures with today’s beautiful architecture! Its location is close to amazing shopping and restaurants. The reception people are more than accommodating along with restaurant staff that serve you. A call out to Jean, Rad and Amelia and everyone else - you were all most welcoming!

The property was under construction but in no way have an impact on our stay. The Reno is being handled with always giving a great customer experience to their guests.

Excellent service. Our room got upgraded for free. The staff was extremely polite and professional. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, close to so many restaurants, very walkable and beautiful.

There was nothing to dislike. We had an amazing stay, we will definitely be coming again.

The room was very large and nicely decorated. The staff was amazing and very helpful, the hotel was stylish and in a fantastic location.

The bathroom nice but a little dated and felt underwhelming compared to the rest of the room.
The room looked onto a side street and it was quite noisy in the evening from people outside the hotel.

Very comfortable bed and bath, both roomy. Liked the location in Old Port and near Basilica. Convenient access to great restaurants including Mama C, coffee and a bite in reception area. Staff very helpful and friendly, including valet.

Construction (all temporary issues)—finding place, reduced walkway outside,a bit of a maze inside.
Need more bars or hooks in bathroom for hanging things
Would have liked a second upholstered seat or a loveseat in room

The people. Everything else could be perfect but if the staff and people who we meet are not what we expect then nothing else matters.
We always stay at the Neligan affiliate hotels because of the amazing people who work there.
From cleaning staff to restaurant managers and our individual servers, AMAZING!!!

The bathroom did not have sufficient counter space to prepare my wife's daily routine... the ladies appreciate this more than the men do... but equally as important.

Hotel experience was very good. Location was perfect and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating.

Building works going on nearby prevented me from having breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful roof terrace because the noise was intolerable.
