Hotel Le Germain, Montreal

The hotel was modern, clean and well appointed. The staff were exceedingly kind.

Easy walking to restaurants, shops and tour sites.

The hotel was well maintained and quiet. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were kind and the location is amazing.

The shower stall in the room was clear glass. It was completely impractical for two friends sharing a room as it was visable from every angle. The staff did their best to tape A4 papers across the middle of the glass to provide some privacy but it's really short sighted for a property not to take various combinations of guests into consideration. A strip of frosted tape or a blind wouldn't detract from the aesthetics.

The location was perfect for us since we didn’t rent a car and walked to most places. The staff had excellent customer service, and the shelves on the floors across from the elevator were used to hold apples for hotel guests.

Housekeeping was inconsistent - some new towels one day and then the next day, we were missing towels.

The shower door in my room 12th floor did not open "out", so it was a little difficult to navigate getting in and out of the shower.

Rooms are big and clean. Lighting very well planned.

Very small front desk and there’s not an area in lobby to hang out while waiting. No trademark scent as soon as you enter hotel. Pillows very uncomfortable!

We have stayed at the Le Germaine several times and it is our go-to location in Montreal.

Fabulous location with lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Easily accessible to Little Italy, McGill, the market, the old city. The room was spacious and so comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel based on our stay

Easy downtown location. I mostly walked to the areas I wanted to see. It was a 30 min walk to Old Montreal, it was a 10 min walk to Mount Royal, 10 min walk to the Museum of Fine Arts or Sainte Catherine Street for shopping. A Good vibe mid rise boutique Hotel in downtown Montreal. Modern, clean, quiet, good workout facility, attentive desk staff etc. Good Restaurants on site. I chose no housekeeping and that was respected during my stay.

I only had one blip after I arrived, someone from the staff walked into my room with a key card which totally threw me. She apologized profusely and backed out of the room. I called the desk to let them know, they investigated and called me back stating it was someone from housekeeping. I was never told why she entered the room, it was just odd. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay, I would return.

The type of room I booked has see through glass between the shower and the room, which is a bit odd for me.

Too many light fixtures individually controlled in the room, elevator working only with keycard makes it fussy if you’re travelling as a family, Bar/cafe not working during lunch hours.

The Germain hospitality team were very professional. They were attentive to our needs and accommodating of our reasonable requests. Overall, would recommend and book again.

Prime location, walking distance to shopping mall and subway station.

The sound of air conditioning is too loud. We got the room of 16th floor at the beginning, right under the Gym. Huge noise, and you can feel the vibrations of equipment and air conditioning. Thanks to Christina to change our room to 6th floor. It gets better, but it still feels noisy.

Staff was wonderful. Very comfortable bed. Quiet, no noise of other guests.

Our room did not have a view because it looked directly into an office building. That’s the big city for you.

The hotel is centrally located. So it is extremely walkable and in close proximity to attractions.

My husband did not like the softness of the pillows.

Incredible hotel, lovely location - rooms, restaurant and staff super nice! Would 100% stay here again next time visiting.

Only thing I would ask, is to expand the breakfast menu to some more lighter options.

We didn't have breakfast there, when staying in Montréal we always go to Bagel ect. on St-Laurent it's very delicious. However le Germain has a very fabulous restaurant :-) We love the Germain, we stayed in their Ottawa location too, the service is great and the rooms are A1.
