Nautilus a Sixty Hotel, Miami Beach

Location was very good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Bathroom was extremely small and had no ventilation. Building exterior could use some maintenance. Mattresses seemed old as they were excessively soft, such that could almost sink in them.

The location of the property and proximity to the beach were exactly what my wife and I were looking for.

The drinks were expensive. The pillows were uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower was weak.

Elevator broken for several days. Hallways near elevator without carpet. Contributed to extreme noise. Housekeeping was tipped daily yet never took away glasses nor did they refill sugars. Front desk male did not explain the steps for free bikes. Valet had to assist with several people.

Rooms are quite worn & need a refresh. Only 1 of 2 guest elevators working, really long waits to get up/down. Construction happening on both sides of hotel, very noisy during the day if you are trying to enjoy the pool.

We had an oceanfront room with a balcony that made our stay here really nice. Everything works smoothly at the Nautilus, from front desk efficiency to elevators that don't take forever. There is every kind of place to hang out at the hotel: the lobby is bustling, there is a little covered porch area out back, a nice pool, and of course the beach. The location cannot be beat; it is central to everything. As others have said in reviews here, the building is older, but they have done a good job keeping it up, and actually it has a nice scale to it. A lot of Miami places are giant and impersonal, but the Nautilus still exists on a human scale, which feels good.

I had read that there was construction going on next door, so was not surprised by the noise of that, but it was a bit loud on the balcony. I didn't love the music at the pool, although I suppose it drowns out the construction noise.

Nautilus Sonesta is a decent hotel. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and had its own style. The aircon worked. It has good facilities. It's location on Miami Beach is great (although drivers beware of the horrendous traffic).

My reservations are around how the hotel features equate to the cost. The room was large but had a questionable layout - mine had a whole section with sofas but a tiny, tiny bathroom. The bathroom could have easily been expanded without losing any of the other room features or reducing its utility. The bar was decent but a little soulless. Not because of the people I don't think - maybe the feeling that it was the lobby. I didn't get a chance to visit the pool.

View from room was terrible, no ocean front double queens. Bathroom is very small with no storage or shelf space If you have 4 guests you should have 4 lounges at the beach included and not have to pay for etc. Rented bikes, supposed the get 2 free hours, valet could have helped as he saw us renting them to share a supposed code to get the free hours instead he just watched and told us after the fact with no way to refund us.

Well appointed rooms and very spacious. We booked a 2 queen studio suite with sofa bed but got upgraded to a king studio suite + adjoining king room. This was an added bonus as traveling with 2 teenagers meant we had more space and 2 bathrooms. Breakfast buffet was exceptional and constantly being topped up. Location was perfect for exploring Miami beach and beyond.

Quite noisy. None of the doors had soft closures so constantly bring disturbed by the sounds of slamming doors from people coming and going.

The beach was great. The staff on the beach was helpful and friendly. Isaac made us feel right at home, remembered our names each day, went out of his way for us. The service overall was very good.

The rooms were small. The two queen room had minimal space. Also, they have two small elevators. One was out of service the entire time I was there. The other was out of service for a few hours one day. I had to walk up and down the stairs to my 6th floor room. I don't mind the exercise but not exactly what I'm looking to do in flip flops and a bathing suit after the beach. Even with two working elevators, there are too many people trying to use them. Kind of a deal breaker for me in the future.

Hotel is situated in the heart of Miami Beach so you can't get anything better. Swimming pool, direct access to the beach, valey parking, dinning - all delivered at the highest quality. Comfy beds and spacious room! I like the lobby bar and nice/modern style of decoration inside. IMHO posh ;)

Bathroom is extremely small, no single shelf for a toiletry bag. No proper ventilation so steam covers the mirror and you need to be very careful once shaving :) Plus through out the whole stay we were given 3 towel in stead of 4 even I had been asking every single day.

The hotel is a perfectly nice hotel but it is certainly not a five star hotel. Clean and tidy

The room condition was just ok Broken Iron board - reported it the first day and it was fixed for the second day 2nd day - no one changed the mini bar - dirty cup and no creamers No slippers or robe - would expect it for this price range The coffee bar in the lobby was way too expensive. $9.50 for a large regular coffee is ridiculous

Comfy big room, with no carpet so I didn't get any allergies from the old carpets that we usually see in other hotels. big bathroom and nice coffee machine. location is great close to everything. I highly recommend this hotel

We appreciated the location, the room with a sea view, the sunny beach with the good management by Isaac. The whole team was kind and helpful.

The hotel needs a refurbishment, it is a bit old and dirty. We were annoyed by the noise coming from the early cleaning of the pool, or from the 2 buildings on both side of the hotel which are in renovation.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable. It took me a while to figure out how to use Netflix on the TV but I eventually did it. Direct access to the beach with complimentary chair was wonderful. I enjoyed my time there.

There was an issue with the lock of the room. The other incident was that a man was somehow assigned to my room because we have the same last name but the manager fixed it immediately.

The property is very old and requires some modernization of the building. The room also was too small to accommodate 4 adults . The bicycles service is a good idea but only had 5, we were a group of 4 so no chance of getting them available

I loved the proximity to the beach and how friendly the staff was

While the hotel grounds are beautiful, the rooms were lackluster. It was a nice sized room for it to only have a bed and small table. It lacked decor and a certain level of comfort. Definitely was not worth the money being charged. Additionally, i didn't like that the pool closed at sundown being that its the winter and it gets dark super early.

The location was great, good facilities, direct beach access. Rooms nice and spacious.

The nautilus is a classic. The location, the pool area, the lobby make it a good choice for the price. It is stylish and in my opinion one of the best in the area.

My only comment is that it used to look better and be fresher. The hotel is starting to be a bit run down, sadly. The lobby still smells nice and the pool area is still nice, but the vinyle elevator floors just don’t work. A few simply yet important cosmetic improvements and fixes are absolutely necessary. It is not what it used to be, but it could be easily. The staff used to wear stripes tshirts that made the whole hotel so iconic. It is a shame this is no longer happening. It was part of the aesthetic and style in my opinion.

The location is super convenient - close to the restaurants and top hotels on the South Beach. Has its own beach and pool. Mike the bartender in the lobby bar is a pearl of the facility) real professional

Though the accommodation price seems fair, all extras are super expensive. That doesn’t feel right. The space around the pool was not sufficient for all guests. Especially during weekend.

Rooms looked better online but overall happy with our stay

We evacuated Tampa last minute the night before hurricane Milton and needed a pet friendly hotel in Miami. Sonesta fit the bill and did the job at such short notice.

The AC was too loud in the room, the room entrance light was really hard to switch off (had a very unique switch). The white floors made the room feel very dirty very quickly, especially with a dog with us. Feels more like a 3 star than a 4 star hotel.

The location, ease of valet parking and employees are awesome.

The floor lobby was very dark and didn’t have a vibe. Also the room floor was not at all clean and felt very oily and slippery

We couldnt use the beach bc of the weather but if we could have the beach is a very short walk from hotel!

Our room/ hallways/ lobby area/ lobby bathrooms/ pool area could definitely use a deep clean. The pool loungers need to be thrown out and replaced.

Their staff was friendly and helpful.My friend was staying in a nearby 5 star hotel he didn't satifyied with the hotel services and came to Nautilus to have breakfast, coffee etc to enjoy service and environment. Daily complimentary bottled waters in the room and small coffee shop at lobby to buy snacks and sandwiches another plus.

Air condition in my room was noisy.I turned it of when I was slepping so didn't effect me.I hope they can manage this issue.

Barely any rooms have a view of the water. A lot of noisy neighbors. The shape of the building and the one next to it cause a loud wind vortex between the buildings. A little over priced.

Charging guests for a seat on the beach. Not done by other hotels at this price. General sense that everything was an additional charge. I was even told I could not bring a coffee to the pool despite I bought it from the hotel lobby. They said it had to be purchased at the pool bar. Very poor focus on customers experience compared to its competitors I’ve stayed at on the south Beach.

There is nothing that I didn't like besides the constructions that were happening on both sides that was very disappointing and that's not their fault because it's not in their hotel but the constructions on the sides took away from the experience and it was really loud during the day while we are at the pool
