Very close to everything, clean and friendly staff. I liked that they have a key for the room and a little lamp for each bed. They also cleaned the room everyday. The pool is also a positive point.

There is no kitchen in the hostel and the rooms with 4 beds are small.

This is my second staying in here because of location, the broken shaker bar right next to the pool and lobby area with the piano that's what I liked in here. Plus thanks to Diana at the front desk helped me with the one of the problem hasn't solved yet before and shared many info what I need to collect. Appreciated that 🙏

My allergies were triggered by mold in the rooms. The cleaning in the rooms and bathroom is inadequate. The floors and tables are covered in dust and crumbs. AC works very noisy and the air quality is low in the rooms. The rooms aren't met with the price-to-benefit ratio.

Bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Guests receive 205 discount at bar and restaurant.

Friday night there was extremely loud disco music from 8 pm to midnight.

our group had our own little place, the setting was nice, the place was clean, and the location was very close to the beach!

The pool was a bit dirty and had a lot of pieces in it, the shower was hard to figure out (the water would come out super cold and wouldn’t warm up, and the pressure of the water wouldn’t come out strong, customer preference of having a shelf in the shower)

Location is good. Easy to access anywhere you like to go. Very close to the beach like 2 min walks. Feels cozy. Rent free bikes, provides beach towel, chairs and umbrellas for free. Personels are cool and friendly

AC is so noisy. Building and the furnitures are too old. If you have a question to ask to the front desk they're always busy and have to wait on the queue too long. Unfortunately If it's a special week like Valentine's Day it ends up being very expensive to stay.

The music in the reception was excellent. Cleaning staff were efficient.

I wasn't informed of the free 2 hour bicycle , laundry onsite or towels for the beach at the reception all of this cost me money as i paid outside of the property for these services. The rooms above the bar at the weekends , you wont get any sleep until 2am, so consider that if you need to go sleep early .

I love the people. The Staff are great team makers. Alex, the laddies and the boys are unique, dedicated, committed, responsible and courteous. Thank You all for such great hospitality!

The location, the vibe in the lobby or outside the lobby

First, the air conditioning was set to 18°C, which made the room extremely cold and windy. I only had one small, thin blanket. When I reported this issue, I was told that they could not do anything about it and that guests were not allowed to adjust or turn off the air conditioning. I was also told that even if they changed my room, I would face the same air-conditioning issue. The towels were not changed during my entire 9-day stay. To get a hairdryer, I was required to leave my passport at reception, which felt unsafe and inappropriate. The room was not clean, especially the bathroom. The cleaner did not clean thoroughly—there was female pantyliners on the floor, and it remained there for several days. During the last two days, no paper towels were provided, so I had to use my own.

I have being there before and the hostel is great. I didn’t stay for long this time so couldn’t use many of the facilities but they have a very nice shared area and pool and the hostel is super close to the beach

I don’t know if the staff controls the AC in the shared rooms but my room was freezing at night and I wasn’t able to change it so I ended up not getting much sleeping even because there was just a tiny and thin blanket on the bed. No sheets or warm blankets and when I woke up the front desk was already closed so I couldn’t get anything else to use.

Amazing location, kind staff, and a fun bar! The place was clean, and I would stay here again because of its proximity to the beach and great restaurants/nightlife. The staff gave great recs for where to go around there.

Very well-placed hostel in the middle of Miami Beach! Overall, very nice accommodations for a hostel, with a pool and two bars in the courtyard. You are able to check out a bike from the reception for free, and anoverall very comfortable atmosphere.

Something that would have been nice to communicate is that the hostel plays music until midnight, and that the hostel bar space is relatively open. I personally didn't mind, but this may be important information for some travelers.

The hall and outdoor lounge were very nice. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location is very good, near the beach, public transportation lines and a short walk to the busier areas.

Beds were slightly short and the room felt a bit small and humid at night.

Like the patio and pool that is cozy and cool. Room is different with decor. Like the bed- comfortable

Location, no water bottle or ice maker, pillow is too thick, and the bathroom is pretty small.

Room is not well lit. Very old sofa. Room temperature should just be set standard. One roommate put heater then few hours later cooler and repeat.

This place was conveniently located near the beach and they provided us with bikes that we could use for 2hrs at a time. The front desk was pleasant especially Lara. She went above and beyond to make sure I was good

We were not aware of Saturday's evening music until quite late in the evening, so it was harder for us to fall asleep. Another thing that can be improved is WiFi.

This spot was perfect for my quick trip to Miami Beach. A bit of affordability in a very unaffordable city. Minutes from the beach, where you can easily bike to wherever you need to go comfortable rooms, fabulous backyard and pool where you can work, laundry onsite. They’ll give you a beach chair and towels and a 2-hour bike rental for free. Sweet staff and a couple great bars onsite too. Fridge in the room.

It’s far from many other places you want to go so just keep that in mind. And the nearby supermarket is very pricey.

Loved the location and on premise amenities like the courtyard and the bars. Met some really rad people. The vibe of the rooms and interior reminded me of an old apartment I had in college in the best way possible — but way more thoughtful and elevated. Was a little dingy but we kind of Loved every bit of it.

Parking was a nightmare! Would have loved some cups in the room.

Close your the beach, it was the best option for me

Most beautiful hostel I have been to in Miami so far (well the bar is low lol) but their rooms are actually nice if you can believe it, cozy and spacious, tastefully decorated and they have all necessary outlets and room you need by the bed/nightstand and a cute blanket, two bathrooms, handicap accesible which is awesome and you don't see a whole lot unfortunately!! Spacious and stylish " retro" mini fridge, windows, Sofa with small table is perfect for lounging/working on laptop/hanging out. I love their outdoor pool area, it's a beautiful tropical garden with many trees and plants that you won't feel blazing heat (like it's supposed to! Before humans cut trees, put concrete and ruin everything) Also perfect place for lounging/working on laptop at any hour of the day (but bring mosquito repellent) They have a cold water fountain and a hot water dispenser which saves the day! The staff is generally nice especially the dark haired / light skinned young person with the face/nose piercing (I did not ask the name of this lady unfortunately) but in some hostels employees are so nasty that I can't forget someone who is actually hospitable. The beach right in front is very quiet and chill, more chill than south beach. They have a pool table and a PIANO in the lobby and that is extra points also with the "Alice in Wonderland" painting; They provide soap in the rooms! Feels like a luxury especially since it boasts being free from harmful chemicals, parabens and....sexism. I hope this is true because some other hostels are indeed disgustingly sexist with their discriminatory policies. I did not have that bad experience at Freehand but again I'm a beach person more than a pool person so I might not have enough lived experience to tell.

There is no kitchen so you are kind of dependent on eating out which can get expensive, thankfully plenty of space in the mini fridge in your room to keep your take away leftovers and a few groceries that don't require cooking/preparing. Make sure to bring sweaters and warm clothing because the hallways are freezing! The A/C in the room as well but you can adjust this. I think I got a chest infection / mild cough from the A/C or something in the building, maybe mold I don't know. t's annoying that they only let one stay 14 days every six months but many other hostels in the area also have a max stay. They partner with restaurants which are like " sibling businesses " and pitch you have 20% discount if you are staying at the hostel but in reality since they add a mandatory 20% gratuity, you are just exempt from the extra 20% it isn't a "discount" I don't like these sneaky game of words businesses do around here but I have seen this business model in other hostels partnering with restaurants in the area so nothing out of the ordinary. The good thing is they will let you bring your food and eat it there but after 5PM you can't consume anything on the pool area /restaurant tables, you would have to go eat/drink in the back tables, however if you are just hanging out it's fine! It's a bit silly though because they'll do that even if you just have one soft drink and all tables are empty if past five O' clock. I like their laundry area in between the trees unfortunately only one machine was working, they called repair but for me it never worked, I am still waiting on reimbursement from the outsourced company for the hold they placed on my card which they told me would get back to my card but since its weekend it should probably arrive next week.

So! Listen to me. It's a good enough hostel. There is a bar and pool. The employees are great. And the place around is quiet, near the beach, there is a super market.

Just for information, it's not a bad comment. You have to pay via card only the guarantee and it comes back in a week. Sometimes and if the room is near the bar you gonna listen to some music.
