The perfect home away from home, quiet little guest house with very friendly staff of both the human and canine variety. So close to both parks and a short Uber ride to the centro

The Red Tree House is easily one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The location is brilliant, and the building and the rooms are beautiful. The staff are incredible - there is nothing they won't do to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A special shout out to Victor for making both my daughters feel so welcomed, and to Alejandro for the great restaurant recommendation. We also loved making friends with the two dogs, Romeo and Booz! I loved the hot mexican breakfast each morning, and happy hour each evening. It was great to spend all day sightseeing and then be able to return to such a special place to relax at the end of the day. I miss it already and really hope to stay again one day!

Beautiful, stunning, incredible environment. Architecture, paint colours, layout, artworks, really gorgeous. Private nooks in public spaces were lovely and cozy but there were also plenty of open spaces to facilitate communication with other guests. Rooms were adorable and comfortable. Visually stunning. Amazing calming atmosphere. Woke up to birds flying and singing. Literally angelic. Hotel dogs are absolutely adorable, friendly and very calm and approachable. All smelt and looked clean including dogs. Very pleasant experience. Staff were well mannered, kind, helpful and friendly. Had a long wonderful conversation with German (pronounced Herman) who told us more about the city and what to expect. We were two young women travelling alone so we were nervous to go out at night and he helped ease our expectations by taking us out when he walked the dogs, telling us about the area and encouraging us to explore. We came back and told him about our adventures. The next morning Victor who was so lovely and kind helped us with breakfast and chatted with us. He offered us free breakfast if we returned as we were coming back to the city later in our trip but were booked somewhere else. Both Victor and Herman offered us to come back and put our family pictures on the Ophrenda for day of the dead as well as come back and see more night life with German if we are around when he is. Amazing experience, wish we could’ve booked longer. Also all the rooms have adorable names like Frida and Mariposa, rather than room numbers, so cute! Also we got complimentary wine and pretzels in the evening as well as complimentary breakfast.

One of the pillows on the bed was hard as a rock. Literally that was the only negative this place was amazing.

Had such a nice comfy vibe and very friendly staff and great location! It was nice to come back after walking around the city and have a comfy shared seating area with the fireplace roaring. The breakfast in the morning was better than any other hotel we've stayed in and the staff does their best to invite all the people staying to get to know each other with things like happy hour in the courtyard. Overall, great experience and lovely hotel.

The room was a bit small but not bad at all. There's also a large shared space in the courtyard and the living area downstairs.

The Red Tree House is a beautiful boutique hotel with some of the friendliest staff you will ever meet. Victor one of the meet and greet staff made us incredibly welcome. The hotel is essentially a Mexican house built around a courtyard. Our room was advertised as a room but in reality was a suite with two bathrooms, a separate living area with sofa chairs and many books to read. We also had an outside area with a patio door directly into the bedroom. This hotel serves great home cooked Mexican breakfast which is as Mexican as you can get. In the evening they serve free drinks for two hours from 6pm to 8pm in the courtyard which encourages guests to interact and get to know each other. This hotel is for those types who really value good food, good company and colourful traditional Mexican surroundings. Red Tree is the opposite from corporate culture and would appeal to people who enjoy investigating the real culture of a community. If you are looking for swimming pools and corporate bars this is not for you. If you are looking for beautiful, colourful Mexican art and cooking this very small but delightful hotel is definitely for you!

What a great hotel! It is perfect for people who like small, eclectic, boutique hotels. There was great art in all the public rooms, the daily happy hour was a nice treat, the staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and having Romeo the hotel dog sleeping in the foyer every night when we got back from our outings made the whole place feel very warm and welcoming.

My room was over kitchen so it was very noisy when kitchen staff started prepping at 6am.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations on where to shop/eat, things to do. the happy hours were very social and fun. All of the staff members were really warm and helpful.

Lots of mosquitos in our room, the doors to the balcony had lots of gaps so there was no way to keep them out. It would have been nice if there was mosquito repellent in the rooms to prevent lots of bites.

The Red Tree House is a superior venue and location with stellar, warm, and helpful staff. Will definitely return and looking forward to it.

Location was perfect and very safe for walking, dinner, and access to cultural and social events. Manager and staff were very personable and friendly with happy hour every evening for socializing and getting to know other guests.

Firstly we loved how beautiful the property was both inside and outside. It was so stylish! It also had a very calm feel which was lovely to come back to after a day out in the busy loud city. The staff were amazing. They make the place feel like a home away from home. We’d already read this from other guest reviews, but now having experienced it, we can absolutely agree! We loved the happy hour in the evenings and the opportunity to chat to other guests. It all contributed to the friendliness of the place. The location in Condesa is ideal for reaching sights easily. Breakfasts are delicious - a buffet with a different home-cooked hot Mexican breakfast option every day. And finally there are two dogs to make friends with. What a wonderful place!

I think some of the cold breakfast foods could have been better and products in shower a little better but nothing that would prevent me from recommending it

Daily breakfast and happy hour were such a treat! It was delightful to connect with other guests and staff during these communal activities. We met lovely people and received many great recommendations.

My only complaint is that the rooms didn't have amenities like cotton balls and cotton swabs, nor did they have robes.

The Red Tree staff was very warm and immediately made us feel like we were visiting old friends. Property is well maintained and a quiet little escape in Mexico City.

Location ! Location ! Location ! Right near Avenida Amsterdam- a really lovely walking space! Many restaurants to choose from. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We felt so at home here! Jorge helped me make bus ticket reservations as well as set up a drive to the pyramids. Breakfast was different every day and the morning pastries were so good. I am missing them daily! The evening happy hour was a fun time to meet and chat with the other guests about places to go and eat. Parque México is a short stroll away. All in all it was a perfect stay! And we can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely nothing!

Loved everything about the hotel--great location in a quiet neighborhood (Condesa), beautiful patio for breakfast and happy hour, friendly staff, and two friendly dogs! The apartment room was massive and lovely.

The only thing that could have been better would have been if there had been AC in the room. Typically, Mexico City would not need AC but we happened to be there in a really hot week so it was pretty hot in the room.

The tree house is incredible - so comfortable, so vibey and the staff are next level amazing.
