⭐️ Unacceptable Front Desk Conduct – Avoid This Hotel We arrived at this hotel around midnight with a valid reservation through Booking.com. My husband initially attempted to check us in but was told he could not because the reservation was under my name. I then went to the desk myself and provided multiple valid forms of identification (passport, driver’s license, and credit card). Despite this, the front desk agent refused to check us in because my Booking.com account was under my maiden name, while my legal documents reflect my married name. Her demeanor was rude and dismissive from the start. At her direction, we contacted Booking.com. Booking.com updated the name on the reservation, yet the receptionist still refused to honor it, claiming she did not have access to the hotel’s email system until the morning to verify the change. She also refused to speak directly with Booking.com, even while they were actively attempting to contact the hotel. We were left sitting in the lobby for over an hour and 20 minutes after midnight, being told there was “nothing she could do.” When I requested a manager, I was told no one was available and that she was the only staff member on duty. Because of her refusal to accept valid identification and an updated reservation, we were forced to leave and book another hotel, where we were checked in immediately without issue. Approximately 20 minutes after we left, the same receptionist called to say she had spoken with her manager and that we could now check in — far too late. To make matters worse, we attempted for over 2½ weeks to contact the hotel’s general manager. We were repeatedly told they were unavailable and would call us back. They never did. I have used Booking.com for over 10 years, often with my maiden name while my legal documents reflect my married name. This has never been an issue at any other hotel. This was a complete failure in customer service, basic problem-solving, and professionalism.

The fact it's was good access to the train and all I had to do was come out of hotel and line up for the train and the rate for a night stay was excellent nothing everything was perfect

Superb location- all the best Memphis spots are within walking distance. The check in staff, security, and cleaning team were all extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and the bed was super comfy. Seriously no complaints from us. 10/10 experience. We’ll be back!

The location was perfect to catch the Amtrak. And close to a lot of other historical sites. When I checked in both of the girls (didn't get their names )at the desk were absolutely great. I had a King Concourse room this room had the most amazing views. My jaw just dropped. The hotel is just very charming. If I ever stay in Memphis again, will definitely stay here.

A truly awful experience, the conditioner bottle is empty, the room is so so tiny, but I paid over $250, not worth it.

The service was not good. Half a job of servicing rooms. Rooms were not clean enough. Grumpy reception, but friendly service at breakfast.

Befuddling lay out - bad directions given for property, callous and odd staff, standing there waiting while they talk on the phone or to each other everywhere, not even looking up, had to call front desk (room phone didn't work) for a TV remote, no WiFi info given - very weird treatment by staff - just odd all the way around. Bartender completely blew off our order, apologized later. It was super a weird place. Staff needs customer service and manners training in the worst way (p.s. I am not a Karen and didn't complain or make a fuss, but jeeezzzz)

Location was great for our purpose. Toilet seat about to fall off. Drain plug not in. Water pressure was very low. Housekeeping didn’t even make the bed or vaccum. Nothing worse coming back from a long day and your room is not fixed up. Was very disappointing.

Right at train station. Only about a 15 minute walk to Beale Street. Beds were good.

Room is small if you have quite a bit of luggage. Having the tv on the side wall was annoying if you like to watch tv from bed. First room we tried the heat wouldn’t come on plus we noticed the tv configuration so we switched to another room but the tv configuration was the same plus it was quite a bit smaller. Broken reading lamp but that may have just happened. All in all, I expected a little bit better considering this is a Hilton. It’s the most expensive hotel we’re staying at on this trip and we did get it because of an early train we had to catch, but I wouldn’t stay here again for that price.

The room was modern, spacious, clean and quiet. The location was good following a 7 hour train journey from New Orleans and easy to get to the Centre. The staff were very helpful- they arranged a taxi to take us downtown. Jay from DwnTwn Express (taxi) was great and very reliable

Great place to stay

It was a very nice facility with updated amenities.

The rooms are extremely tiny. You couldn’t open the bar fridge door because it hit the bed. But it did have nice high ceilings so you don’t feel closed in. Just very cramped.

Stayed overnight at the hotel since our train got in late. The rooms were comfortable enough for a good night's rest. Right across street from places to eat.

The thermostat wouldn't stay at selected temperature. We would adjust it a couple degrees and after about 30 minutes it would reset.

Interesting and cool history of Memphis music/train station. It has a nice bar and the restaurant Bishop was outstanding. Nothing was wrong with the actual hotel or location.

The toilet ran intermittently all night and there was Kroger Keurig cups in our room. For over $300/night I expected a littler nicer coffee! Food at Bishop was so good, service was slow.

Beautiful eclectic property with rich history. Each staff member we encountered were friendly, pleasant and always willing to assist. The restoration of entire facility is stunning!

Our mattress may need to be on schedule for replacement. An easy fix for more comfortable stay.

Bar was very loud when we arrived, couldn't actually hear the reception. Coffee machine was broken and wasn't replaced with a working one. Staff weren't great, not very friendly.

The fridge in our room was broken. The lack of tub or microwave was a bit of a downer. Would have liked to have a vending machine somewhere in the building rather than having to order delivery.

I DID NOT like paying for parking on hotel property. That was horrible to me. I couldn’t tell that paying provided any benefit to my family and I!

This is a superb hotel. The location feels a bit rundown and there's not too much close by, but the trolley runs straight to downtown and is a bonus. While the location is a bit shabby (but we never felt threatened, even when out very late) the hotel itself is a real gem. The rooms are quite small, but neat and very clean, the bar is wonderful and the attached restaurant top notch. Best of all, the train pulls up right outside - what a sight.

As I said, the room we had was pretty small, but functional, and, as tourists, we only went back to sleep.

Beautiful renovation with so many options for food/drink within walking distance. loved the parking option as well. bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.

Price point is a little bit more than what we got. Service was also not that great. Most we encountered were indifferent and flat with no hint of friendliness. they seemed annoyed by us.

The location was awesome, and the decor was amazing. The room was clean and the piped in music was a "nice to have".

The only concern we had was we were given incorrect information on the hours that the tram ran to Beale Street and it would've been nice if there were a breakfast option. Also the air conditioning was CRANKED in the lounge on the night that we arrived. It was totally uncomfortable.

Great location in an up and coming area of downtown. The hotel is a fantastic adaptive reuse of a historic railway station and extremely well done. The bar scene was very nice and the music (by DJ) was very good.

The AC was extremely loud at night when it came on periodically. I'm not sure if it was just our room or if all rooms experienced the same problems. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was pretty low; however, we informed the front desk and they resolved very quickly.

our main issue was check-in. our room wasn’t ready until 4. the only other complaint was the lobby by the bar was so cold, we couldn’t even stand to sit in there. otherwise, we loved staying here.

Very cool place, interesting location. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was wonderful, large, clean, nice shower. Bishop's restaurant downstairs has great food. The bar is super chill.
