Big Cypress Lodge, Memphis

I had an incredible experience at this hotel from start to finish! The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and super comfortable. Everything felt fresh and clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. The customer service was top-notch—everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They made me feel valued and taken care of throughout my stay. I honestly loved everything about this place and would absolutely stay here again. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel, this is it!

Liked the inside terrace room, not the outside room terrace. Bathrooms were huge and very nice. Liked the Whalburg restaurant downstairs. Kids loved the room as it looked similar to a cabin, very nice.,

They have kids activities during the week but we were there during the weekend and there were not any activities for kids. I did wish the hotel or the Bass Pro store sold milk for the kids. They advertise breakfast buffet but it is $24.99 a person, which is a lot for a family of 4. The bowling was $10 for 30 minutes per person and the only balls were heavy and for adults. The rooms temperature would not go below 70 degrees, which was annoying.

The staff at Check-in was so friendly. We arrived late, and they had us check in quickly. The valet was friendly. The room was so beautiful.

The price. For the price, I expected the most comfortable bed ever, but that was not the case. Toilet had ring around the toilet. More lightning would've been nicer.

Fun atmosphere

We checked in at 5:30pm and didn’t know that we couldn’t eat or do any of the activities after 6:30. The host at wahlbergers was extremely rude to us

Loved the atmosphere.

The room and food were too pricey. There was a charge for everything. Cut down on some of the fees.

The beautiful layout. It was gorgeous. The terrace was awesome. The observation deck was really neat.

If I have to say any negative comments they would be these….Low lighting in the room (which didn’t affect our stay at all) and a/c couldn’t keep up but it is very hot outside.

Breakfast minimum options wasn’t value for money. Didn’t have breakfast, thought I had paid enough for the room to have breakfast included. Also no pancakes for kids. Would have liked to been able to go to top of pyramid but no option for guests outside the set times. We checked in late and out early so couldn’t do it. Discount in the store for hotel guests would have been nice too 😊

Shower looked great but not powerful. No nightstand by my bed . Had to pay $20 for parking.

Getting in and out of bed is very uncomfortable

The only criticism I have is to make clear of the room types as I was on the understanding of a King balcony / terrace room was an internal viewing room not the roads outside as I found out it is the king Tree House room

How unusual and interesting the property was. Everything had a log cabin feel but was in doors. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was lovely and clean.

The lookout restaurant for how nice it is supposed to be the restrooms were nasty and the hostess was rude. It was very chaotic.

This was a 4 day staycation for me, I live in the area. It was worth every penny. Just needed a massage parlor on the premises and it would have been pure luxury. Will stay again.

We loved the variety of sitting areas. S'mores on the Mississippi Terrace and bowling at the Fish Bowl.

Our room was the furthest room away from the entrance to bass pro and there was rooms closer but with booking sites they put them in longest walk for some reason Free breakfast wasn’t that great and the workers for this kept staring at us eating like we was stealing it

Coffee machine in the room wasn't clean also I went to the front desk to let them know the telephone in the room wasn't working I couldn't even order room service I was told by the front desk last night they were sending someone to check on the phone in my room but no one even showed so I had to door dash our dinner which we didn't even get the order until 11 pm

The property was very nice really enjoyed watching the fish for my room .

Loved all the attractions at the hotel

We hit traffic and didn’t get to the hotel until 7:00 and found out everything closed at 8:00. The person who checked us in offered no suggestions on what to do or where to grab a bite.

We stay twice a year. We chose a different room but same cost. Room was smaller and tub was half the size. The balcony had no privacy screen.

Beautiful and nice

Issues with the plumbing. The faucet on the tub was broken causing the floor to flood when trying to run water in tub. And one night there was no hot water to take a shower.

It’s a basspro. I like everything about the place

The food at the restaurant in the top of the pyramid was pretty poor and overpriced

Everything was exceptional except for the breakfast buffet.

DO NOT get the breakfast buffet, it’s extremely disappointing for $24 a person it should have been a lot better. The food was cold. It was as nice a breakfast buffet as some Holiday Inn continental breakfasts.

The decorations & the rooms are so nice. LOVE the big tubs. So relaxing.
