The staff were very friendly and helpful both mornings and very accommodating. Beautifully set up, food was great and relaxing environment.

There is nothing I could recommend for improvement as the front desk staff was great and accommodating with booking my taxi.

Nice design, boutique feeling. In a quiet part of town. Walking distance to restaurants and all the attractions in the grid.

The standard rooms are small , good for a couple of days. Corner rooms might have been a better choice.

Great location, comfy bed

Rooms are well appointed. They are on the small side but have everything you need. Car parking that close to Melbourne CBD is a big plus for this property and the proximity to great restaurants/cafes.

the rooms were clean and super comfortable and quiet. The staff are super helpful. I think the only thing is if you want to be dead in the centre then this isnt for you. Having said that it is a pleasant walk to cbd. CLose to carlton lygon strip for food choices and bars. Went with my daughter and we liked the vibe as it is close to MRIT

could have been more food choices in the room. location a bit of a walk say 10 min but hey its great to walk a city to get to know it. very easy for uber drop off and pick ups

Great dining room, very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. The bar had a great atmosphere and was well stocked. Great for a nightcap on the way home.

Close to the Royal Exhibition centre for function, requiring 6 visits. On Lygon Street offering alternative meal options. Easy parking when I required it.

Limited lighting, and no overhead lights in the room. The black room does little to ‘lighten’ the ambiance. Limited fridge space with the hotel’s items taking up most of the space. A top sheet would be good when the weather doesn’t need a doona.

Great location. Right in the heart of some amazing restaurants, spoilt for choice. Only a 15 minute walk into the CBD and to the Museum. Great value on-site parking. Lovely breakfast and great vibe and food in the hotel restaurant. The bed was super comfy and the bed linen very soft, crisp and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend

Loved the location and styling of the room. Bed was amazingly comfy and room had a great ambiance to it with the lighting and colours. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!

The toilet so close to the bed with see through glass was the only downside to our stay.

My room was very comfortable, and although on a busy street, was quiet due to double glazing. Modern design including plenty of USB charging ports is a plus. Reception staff are very welcoming.

The lighting in the bathroom was fine, but rather dim in the bedroom. It’s nice to have low level mood lighting, but I would like to have the choice to increase the lighting when required. Also lacking a master switch to turn off all the lights from the bed, rather than wandering around trying to find where all the switches are located.

requested early check in for 9-10am which is surprisingly approved, no waiting required. complimenting luggage storage was available after check out which was helpful.

the location was not the worst but not the greatest - purely based on personal preference. it was a more quiet suburb which made our stay feel a bit boring unless we were bothered to go on a 10 minute walk to the action (difficult because Melbourne weather is freezing….)

Great hotel excellent location

My partner and I stayed at Zagame's for our wedding weekend, nearby to our reception location. The room was spacious, comfortable and felt luxurious - we especially loved the double shower / double sink! It's also in a great location, with a cafe attached for breakfast. We would've liked to stay longer and would love to come back another time.

Funky rooms with everything you need. Quiet, blackout curtains. Fabulous location. Easy walk to Queen Victoria markets, CBD and Carlton. Great restaurants in walking distance too. Amazing staff, so friendly. Delicious breakfast menu too and Lord Lygons was handy for a night cap.

Absolutely brilliant location, the staff were so friendly and kind. The onsite gym was really good for a smaller place. It was extremely good value for money. Loved my stay there. Rooms are soundproofed well so I couldn't hear the street, and slept really well. If I did have my car it would be great to have the onsite parking as well.

Comfortable room

Beautiful lets call it a Boutique hotel located towards the City End of Lygon Street Carlton, Perfect location a short walk into town and another short walk the other way to sample cafes and the Lygon Street Cafe and Restaurant scene. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and the room I had was comfortable and thoughtful in its lay out with ample room. I was given a room on the 3rd floor lift access to all floors which was quite and peaceful. Parking is avail for a fee on site. I liked everything about this hotel with out question. Oh ! did I mention the fab breakfast in the dining room area of the hotel. It was sensational Eggs Benni on rosti potatoes and great coffee . They have an extensive breakfast menu that just makes your mouth water when you read it. I did not stay in for Dinner but I am guessing it would be Zagame at its best again.

I LOVED staying here. The staff are super welcoming. The room is fab and the bed is so comfy. The location is so perfect - I walked everywhere; everything was so close. I also used the gym most mornings as I was in the middle of a training block which was great also. Honestly, I can't wait to come back to stay here. Oh, the breakfast.... wow! Everything was awesome.

Zagame’s was a really cool hotel. Fantastic location for the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show and loads of other interesting food & attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I simply needed a sheet on my bed rather than a big doona and due to my heating up, woke up several times both nights, which was a shame. Also the price for x2 nights was very expensive compared to my friends’ x3 night deal.

All staff were wonderful. Very friendly and helped us when we needed assistance with such things as luggage storage and loan of umbrellas. Also hotel is in great position for those who walk everywhere.

Breakfast was yummy and catered to our request for a smaller serve. The staff were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions. It was close enough to walk to Carlton gardens and restaurants

Have no complaints except the weather was a bit hit and miss 😀 We did come prepared.

I liked the quality and the comfort of the fittings in the room, the lovely subdued lighting and the sound proofing. The bathroom was excellent and everything was very clean. The restaurant onsite made our stay so easy although we had to check out Lygon Street for all their eateries. Great location.

My only complaint is the lack of a microwave. We stayed for almost a week so we would have liked a few less expensive meals during that time instead of having to go out to eat 3 times a day.

Style, staff and the included breakfast were amazing

The bathroom and the toilet are only divided by a glass wall from the bedroom. It was a it weird to be able to see the silhouette of your partner while being in the bathroom. A bit more privacy would make the room perfect

Great hotel, staff very friendly and accommodating, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and a few extra nice touches in the rooms such as a hair straightener and lovely products. We had breakfast on site, made use of takeaway coffees and also the wine bar. Easy access to CBD, huge variety of Lyon St restaurants and other areas - walking distance but at the end of the day only around a $12 Uber! Will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Zagame’s House was exceptional from start to finish. The location is unbeatable - just steps from the vibrant Lygon Street dining precinct and within easy reach of the free tram and central attractions. The hotel itself is very well presented, with modern, spotless rooms that are spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were consistently outstanding: warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Every interaction, whether at reception, breakfast, or the Lord Lygon restaurant and wine bar, was marked by friendliness and efficiency. Breakfast was a standout - generous, delicious, and served with the same attentive hospitality that defined the rest of our stay. Amenities throughout the hotel were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was charming, stylish, and inviting. In short, every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations. We highly recommend Zagame’s House and will absolutely stay again.
