Loved the old original features of the stairwell in reception, facilities were comfortable and clean and great central location, reception staff friendly

Breakfast was decent. Location of the hotel was excellent.

Breakfast was a bit limited,. Adding yoghurt, a selection of cereals and some fruit may make the breakfast more appealing to the guests.

Location was perfect, near to restaurant, bars, shops and transport

No bar though not essential due to bars downstairs, no toilet in lobby and quite a walk to room even though on floor 1, was a lift for some of the way but were stairs to tackle with suitcases, bottled water or refill water bottle downstairs would also be useful.

A very comfy and central hotel that's easy to reach and close to several interesting places and landmarks. Friendly staff and a nice studio apartment that had everything we needed. The croissant to go in the morning was a nice added bonus.

Room great, staff helpful, it was comfortable and clean. Receptionists very helpful and sorted any issues and answered any questions. Gave us opening times of surrounding places

Wasn’t told before arrival that there was no access by road or parking at the hotel. Had to drive for an hour and 20 mins round centre of Manchester in busy Saturday traffic with sat nav sending down a blocked road

Great location, easy check in & we had late check out for a small fee.

Bathroom made for disabled access, which is fine obviously but could’ve done with a curtain round the shower maybe & also a toilet seat is always good!

The layout. Our room was furthest away from the lift. 151. As two retired people we found that a bit awkward. If we had known we would have asked for an accessible room.

The period features are beautiful, and everywhere was bright and clean. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The location is excellent, although in the city centre we did not hear excessive noise overnight.

Unfortunately, the bed head was ripped, which didn't look great. The room is designed with the bed pushed against the window wall, which was difficult to get out if there was someone else in the bed. The bed is also on the very hard side.

It was very cold in the room, the aircondiction did not work as it should be, the room was not cleaned the whole weekend, cold floor and very dusty

Great location! Same building as a lot of restaurants and bars. Even if the surrounding is busy, you can manage to find peace in the room.

friendly, helpful staff and spotless room. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and brilliant shower. Great location for shops, transport and events. Especially loved the central staircase and the original Victorian tiles, and how sensitively the building has been restored. Also all the places to eat in the beautiful Victorian Atrium - you don't have to go outside to find wonderful food. Particularly recommend Pho Vietnamese restaurant.

Massive TV situated in the centre of the room was a bit daunting. Would have liked it on the wall. But I guess some folk would like this. Think the double glazing could be a bit better.

Location was fantastic. Iconic beautiful building very tastefully re modelled preserving it's character. Checked in was easy and female team member was welcoming and friendly. Room had great facilities and was amazingly clean. Housekeeping staff deserve praise. Checkout was as friendly as check-in. Will definitely come back and can recommend

Comfortable bed. Great shower. Quiet at night. Useful small kitchen.

Great location and facilities. Friendly helpful staff. About 4 mins walk from car park. Right in the middle of the city and opposite the Arndale shopping centre with lots of life to see outside but not noisy in the room. We will be returning.

Sadly the heating didn’t work in our room. Just blowed out cold air instead of hot but hopefully it was just this room.

Staff were very welcoming, hotel was clean and tidy and the beds comfortable. Location is great, perfect spot to start a night out.
