Beautiful building. Very comfortable room. Right by the train station.

It would of been lovely to have a view, but I think that was probably over our budget. I was lovely and warm but my daughter was cold, it would be good to have extra blankets in the rooms.

The room originally booked was a little small .. we spoke to reception who were excellent and they upgraded us to a room with a larger bed .. the room was exactly what we needed .. Breakfast was busy (to be expected) but staff were great and the food excellent ..

We stayed in a king suite and the room was extremely cold.

Room was beautiful

Menu was basic wanted to have dinner in but was put off by the third rate offering of a meal. Bar was full of non residents Couldn’t order in the lounge / dinning area for a cocktail told to use the bar which was heaving with drinkers . Corridors were cavernous cold and a bit scary at night Won’t be going back

Nice big room with HUGE windows!! Stunning hotel, with very comfortable beds. About a 20 minute walk to the arndale centre. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Great hotel, great location

Room wasn't ready for 3, said we had only paid for 1 breakfast when we paid for 3.

Room was spacious for 2 adults and 2 children. The Post Room residents space and games room was brilliant - we stayed on NYE so not alot of options for under 18s but this was excellent. Breakfast on New Year's Day was amazing.. a friendly team and the quality of the buffet was excellent

Excusing the noise completely as expected on NYE (!) ... The location of the room was quite noisy as it was opposite the train station side. We were on 2nd floor and it was disruptive to sleep with early and late running trains. There were no options to cast to TV from an Apple device which limited in room entertainment options as there are also no screening services to log in to . Luckily we had a HDMI cable and was able to connect laptop to TV. A minor point, but we were a group of 2 adults and 2 children but the number snacks and towels etc were catering for 2 in the room.

Character and history of the building

Beautiful ground floor lobby and dining area. Spacious and comfortable room. Excellent value for money for a hotel of this standard for double room when booked in advance (£119 per night for two guests). Smooth check-in and check-out.

- Very poor system for ordering vegan breakfasts. They asked us to request vegan sausages from the table after getting the other items at the buffet with everyone else. However, we then had to wait 20 minutes to receive the vegan sausages. We had to eat the rest of the breakfast first, and wait with empty plates for the vegan sausages to arrive - even though vegan breakfast is a standard menu item. This was very poor service that I wouldn't expect from a 4 star hotel. - At dinner, we ordered starters - but it never arrived! Thankfully we were not charged for this. - Stayed on third floor room. From here you can hear some noise from the train station across the street, and music on the ground floor. May be an issue if you are a very light sleeper. - Seem to have a text messaging service to contact reception with questions - only they never responded to my questions!

Beautiful building inside and out, especially the tiling. The room we had was large and very clean. Nice touch having a guest get together each afternoon - sadly we didn't make any so can't comment on the actual event. Gym looked well resourced. Food in restaurant lovely. Staff throughout were excellent - very helpful and friendly.

Only negative was I didn't like that lifts and stairs to the residential floors were accessible to anyone whether they were staying there or not and didn't need the use of a room key: there was CCTV.

Depending on the situation of the bedroom you do get some noise from the nearby railway.

Professional service and iconic building, bedroom was ideal with twin beds as requested, for myself and my daughter.

Great location and lovely rooms. The happy hour was a great perk and the lobby was beautiful.

Our four person room was only made up for two people and there was a lengthy delay and having to ask multiple times for additional teams such as tea and coffee and cups to be brought up. No extra towels were brought up. We were told we should have had a coffee machine which we didn’t.

Amazing historic building! The room was so distinctive, everything looked gorgeous and the staff were very friendly. Definitely want to go back.
