Love the style of the hotel incorporating original features of the building with a mid century modern style in the rooms. Staff very efficient and friendly.

Good location close to the train station and city center. Very nice lobby and hotel restaurant. Well-equipped room—it had everything you could need for a short stay.

You can see that the rooms are a bit old.

The breakfast was excellent . The location was just what we needed to get into town and also to the co op arena . We found the room cold from 3-6 pm but when we came back from the concert it was warm and throughout the night too .

The heating was on and the remote had been removed from the room so we couldn’t turn it down. It meant there was a constant noise all night

We weren't in Manchester for very long but it was a comfy bed and excellent shower. The room was bright and clean and it felt very kitsch.

Room had a good amount of space and was well furnished. The bathroom was very nice too with a nice big shower. Very close to the northern quarter of the city meant evening spots were a short wall away. Bed was nice and soft, though almost too soft!

A/C was broken and there was a replacement fan - the fan was good quality but didn't cool the room down as much so had to sleep without the duvet.

The room as a bit "tired" - some minor dents here and there + I expected a much higher level of cleanliness for a hotel of this level. It wasn't too bad and dirty obviously, but not at a level when you feel like at home. There is definitely room for improvement there.

Very nice location very close to Manchester Picadilly. The staff were very nice, the room was quite big (high ceilings as well).

The hotel has been bought and is undergoing a rebranding. We arrived at the moment someone was changing the signs at the door. That might confuse people.

Comfortable bed, great location, outstanding breakfast, great WiFi connection in the room.

Central heating, so not possible to turn off the heat in the room, and it was boiling. (One) silverfish in the bathroom. Two coffee bags in the room for a 3-night stay? Not sufficient! They were not replenished day 2, I had to ask for them, but only got them day 3. Bad WiFi connection in the public areas.

Comfortable room with some original features of the building. Comfy bed, though it was a bit low. Modern bathroom with large walk in shower. All in room necessities provided. Excellent city centre location.

Room decor needs an update; lamps missing from the main light fixture, peeling wallpaper, grey window netting and a cardboard painting that was just glued onto a frame and coming loose. The two members of reception staff at check in weren't very friendly and seemed really bored.

The biggest bed in all the years I have travelled! - The lounge area added some real enjoyment as it was spaced out and comfortable

Great huge comfy bed and good shower facilities - good location easy to find. The room was spotless and English breakfast was good if a little small for my tastes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Free water in the room would have been nice. The room was really hot for my personal taste so I had to leave the fan on all night as there was no way to turn down the AC - the remote wasn't in the room. Had an iron but no ironing board. But these are really nit picking - I would stay again.

No air conditioning or any form of temperature control in the rooms. Made for an uncomfortable night. That was disappointing.

The location and building were fabulous just a short walk from the railway station, very easy to find. Room was a decent six and the bed was huge!

There was no heating on in either the bedroom or most importantly the bathroom?? We were told that because nobody else had complained they couldn’t turn it on otherwise the hotel would be too hot??!! They did bring us a portable heater which did warm the room adequately so we did sleep very well indeed. It have been nice to have a heated towel rail though and it’s what one would expect of a 4* hotel surely? I have to say breakfast was definitely one of the best we’ve ever had in a hotel, well worth the £18 per person, excellent 👌

The suite was spacious and stylish. The bed was very comfortable and I had a fantastic night's sleep.

There was paint peeling on some walls, so needs a refresh. Also paid £18 in advance for breakfast, but for what I had it would've just been cheaper to buy it in the morning

Reception and waiting staff were great, rooms were spacious and bed was very big. Hotel was very clean, decor was nice and location was great if you wanted to be near the station

The breakfast was pretty average, for example the scrambled eggs were dry and stuck together - they were clearly not cooked fresh and the sourdough was burnt. The bar staff were nice but lacked the skills and training to do the job properly, for example they didn't know what a gin and tonic was. The room didn't have a mirror with good lighting. The 2 in the bedroom were not near any lights and the one in the bathroom was hard to use to do your makeup as the sink was in the way.

lovely room and decor, nice dyson heater. Lovely location and helpful staff on check in. Was useful to leave luggage with the hotel during the day of checking out.

Hairdryer was a little weak and floor in bathroom was a little slippery.
