Had to ask for a reading lamp as the desk lamp bulb was so dim One could not read by it and the bulb was dusty as if it hadn’t been checked during cleaning . There was no “ reading lamp “ available as such which woudl be useful for business travellers

Glorious old building bursting with character. Even a standard room felt huge due to the high ceilings. Mid century, charming furnishings with a lofty modern twist; including two comfy chairs and a table aswell as the standard desk etc. A speaker for music in the room was an awesome touch. ACTUAL MUGS and not paper cups. Beautifully clean throughout. Staff were helpful, friendly and organised a room on a higher floor as per our request (the first time a hotel has actually been able to accommodate this for us in a long time!)

Extremely menial things such as: The TV being a little outdated (poor picture and sound) and the soaps were very strong smelling (all with sage which was a bit unpleasant), neither thing affected our stay.

Staff were amazing. The lift was broken for our entire stay and was quite a jaunt with our little boy. Great hotel

Its character

It's well located very close to Piccadilly Station. The stairwell shows the history and beauty of the building. The beds are very comfortable. Very clean room.

Even with the radiators turned off the room was too hot to sleep, which spoilt the stay unfortunately.

I loved the angel suite decor throughout was beautiful and the beds was comfortable and clean

I found some sort of pill on the floor it must have been missed as it was dark green so blended with the carpet. But obviously staying with small children that put anything in their mouths it worried me. I scanned the room to see if there was anymore but it was clear. Would have been nice to have room service as because it being Christmas the brasserie was only us at breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and beautiful.

Loved the hotel and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant one evening. Unfortuntely the food was not great. Staff were helpful though.

Really good location, friendly staff, good size rooms good amount of mirrors and clean.

The room was rather dark, needed better lighting near the mirrors and for all lights to work.

Location & size of room was great. Bathroom looked like new.

Reception staff was very quietly spoken to the point I couldn’t hear her. There was no additional info offered eg booking at restaurant / breakfast options, or of directions, interest in our plans etc.

The property is in a great location, the room was incredibly spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and can’t fault their service.

The pictures did make it look a nicer than it was in person, we found the facilities to be a bit out of date such as the TV and some of the fixtures were a little tired where parts of the room had been updated but older things hadn’t been replaced. The room would have benefitted from some warmer lighting (and more of it) as the bedside lamps were bright white and the only other lamp in the room didn’t light up the space. Overall it just felt a little overpriced for what we got.

The only problem that I would say was that there was a lack of staff making things take a lot longer . Not that much choice on the brassiere menu either although the food we had was nice .

The location is great, a few minutes walk from Piccadilly station. It is also a building with character (take the stairs rather than the elevator and you’ll see). Plus the hotel restaurant is not bad at all.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Lovely breakfast, great location and excellent staff and service customer service.

Thought the room would have been a little bigger, hand soap provided smelt awful, maybe one more floral and not with sage in it would be nice. Only one set of towels provided for a couple staying.

The hotel has a nice old school charm. It was warm , pleasant, the staff were lovely. Overall I liked my stay. Not ultra modern, but it was not marketed as such. The location is excellent.

This is only a personal thing. Beds way too soft. Beds moved in the night. Pillows too soft. Bar shut at 2245 (maybe it’s franchised out I don’t know)

Mattress was very soft. Breakfast was a problem in both mornings - first morning I got 2 of the 4 items I ordered and, after a long wait, was finally brought the others; second morning - no coffee as the machine was broken.

Amazing building and really nice room. Check in staff were so friendly. We had dinner downstairs. Lovely. Great location for train station and the bus to RHS.

My room was very cold (winter time) and I didn’t have controls to fix it. I realize I could have called but since I was in and it out late and early it didn’t seem worth the trouble. The coffee machine was also broken after 3 attempts which wasn’t great for my morning work prep either.

The restaurant only had a small menu and some weren't available.

Everything about the hotel was pretty much as presented via website and pictures so met expectations. Room was much bigger than most "new" hotels in the city centre plus a bright light in the middle of the ceiling which is almost unheard of in other hotels. Staff on reception and at breakfast were all friendly and helpful and there's clearly a chef who knows what they're doing when it comes to a full English breakfast!

Quirky building in a fantastic location. Decent size room with a big bed. Shower was brilliant! Staff were very friendly.

Bed wasn’t the most comfortable - mattress was far too soft for our liking.

They offered us a free upgrade on arrival as there were spare rooms which was a nice touch. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. The locations was excellent and the room was quirky but very nice.

First breakfast was all served cold except the sausage, presumably left on a cold plate for a period of time. 2nd day was lovely. Informed waiter but no feedback. During an evening meal (19.11.24) a member of staff was reprimanding another waiter on the restaurant floor and continued to do so despite the other gentleman ( appeared to be foreign with an accent, cheerful & professional) trying to calm matters, we found it embarrassing and unprofessional.

Lovely spacious room. Bed was sumptuously comfortable. Staff all super welcoming and very helpful.

We were greeted by the most helpful man (Omar?) on reception--friendly, informative, helpful. Room met our needs and we liked the quirkiness of it. The young woman who worked in the bar was also friendly and chatty, and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful, much better than we expected in terms of the variety of the menu and the deliciousness of what was served.

A lift would have been helpful for carrying out bags up two sets of stairs but that did not bother us much.

Thanks to the lady in the reception who checked us in early. Excellent location, close to shops, restaurants, train station, public transport, Christmas markets.

The room was so hot, radiator on full swing, unable to open windows and aircon not working.

Very comfortable and spacious room with a Super-King bed. The hotel was quiet, considering it is in the city centre and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Only downside was the lift was undergoing maintenance, which would have been nice if this was communicated beforehand as my partner suffers from Arthritis.

Lift didn’t work which shouldn’t of been a problem as would of expected a member of staff to offer to help with luggage which was not the case☹️ Should offer free bottles of water in the room.
