It was quite cold in the room and the TV (or its remote) didn't work

The staff member on reception was extremely helpful with an upgrade to our room. Customer services couldn’t have been better - thankyou.

Room was nice, large, and quiet. The bathroom seemed quite new and had a great walk-in shower. Very comfy bed. The hotel is located very close to Piccadilly station. Breakfast was extra, but was very nice in an adjoining brasserie/bar. Overall it was good value.

Quite a lot of the woodwork is looking dated and needs refurbishing. When I tried to re-enter the hotel to pay for another coffee in the brasserie/bar it was too much trouble as they were still serving breakfasts, though it wasn't that busy. I went over the road to the Malmaison and paid for one there.

Breakfast was good. Location handy to everywhere.

The heating only comes on for so many hours . Coming from Australia it was cold for us . The staff gave us an extra heater . But otherwise everything was lovely.

The room was very comfortable, particularly the bed. The bathroom was quite small, but very adequate, with a good shower. The breakfast is one of the best I've had, with very good fresh orange juice, very nice coffee, and a superb full English. The sourdough toast was very good. The location is excellent, being very close to Piccadilly train station. It's no more than a couple of minutes walk. The staff were all friendly and very efficient at check in. The main reception area is very comfortable (I waited there while my wife went shopping for an hour)

The room was stuffy , windows didn’t open and the aircon didn’t work so there were fans installed. Main issue was the stuffy smell

Breakfast in the format of brunch restaurant, having to order from menu, instead of usual hotel breakfast. Menu mostly eggs, quite limited otherwise. Weekend breakfast opening only at 8. Ordering format means extra 15 min wait. Good food, though. Bedroom not very welcoming.

The hotel was a former factory. High ceilings and structural steel as well as other authentic elements like the staircase and tiled door arches gave it a grand feel.

Price should have included breakfast and check out should have 12noon

Lovely welcoming desk staff who were all happy to help. Checked in earlier at no extra cost. Like the mix of original warehouse features with the new. New well decorated modern bathroom. Clean room with most things needed. Very large comfortable bed (bed a bit low). Excellent location, toiletries, shower and breakfast. Good value 2 night stay.

No fridge in room. Didn't sleep at all the first night. The room felt cold. We were provided with a heater which was lovely. The noise coming from outside & inside hotel was a lot. Also there was a humming (sounded like a generator) noise all night. I used my headphones to try & distract from the noise. The second night was much better, no humming/generator noise so slept all night.

Beautiful building and lovely rooms with a hint of quirkiness! I was upgraded to a suite so had lots of space to relax and stunning leather chairs

There was no safe in the room, which we have had during previous stays. The room was very warm, but staff were immediately helpful. The fan was missing a wheel. seating furniture looked tired, not as nice as in other rooms we've had. Room 305

Hotel quirky as its an old mill with original features rooms had character and were spacious. Tea /coffee making facilities Great location 👌 Very clean and tidy. Bathroom was nice & large with amenities which smelt fabulous!

Beds were a tad soft for me, but others may like a nice bouncy bed .. but the room was very hot with no air conditioning..the only downside to the room.

Small rooms. Our room was at the back and it was really noisy whdn trash was collected in the morning.

Good location close to the train station and lots of bars with a (paying) parking behind the hotel. Rooms are nicely decorated, staff was friendly and price/quality is good.

No working A/C in the rooms, but a fancy (Dyson) fan. Not great if you’re not able to sleep with warmer temperatures. A 4* hotel should have modern A/C systems.

It’s really very close to the northern quarter and market street and Piccadilly station. The staff was great and the room was clean and spacious

The elevator wasn’t working the entire weekend I was there so had to take the stairs to the 4th floor each time but I got a nice work-out because of it :). Also just one elevator for a big hotel is not enough.

I stay in a lot of hotels and frankly, this one was one of the best for the price given it's central location. The room itself was a bit dated but the bed was really comfortable...not hard like most but not overly soft either. I slept really well. I was allocated Room 111 on the first floor. The room was quite large with lovely high ceilings and period features throughout. Amazingly, for the location, it was pretty quiet...bit of street noise but nothing over bearing. The bathroom was fine, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. Another feature I loved is the windows opened to allow fresh air to enter the room...a feature not always available in many other establishments.

The kettle didn't work properly. Found a workaround for my short stay but that was my only issue which I reported upon checking out. There was an A/C unit but no controller I could find. A fan was provided (Dyson Airblade) but it wasn't the best...but it did the job.

The location is very central and the design of the hotel is very nice.

The hotel was extremely warm. We did have a fan in the room which was appreciated as the room didn't have aircon however with such a big room and old building it didn't help too much.

The staff were wonderful and the room was stunning very clean and the bed was amazing

Staff were excellent. Particularly the gentleman on reception who was wonderful - very helpful, polite and competent!

Location: close to Manchester Piccadilly Station and Piccadilly Gardens.

Shower pan had not been cleaned properly and there was a visible dirt stain. Base of shower pan was damaged and unsightly.

The only bad thing I have to say is the temperature of the room was way too not, with no air conditioning working it was hard to sleep

Location was excellent and the rooms were quite nice and spaceous. Overall the staff was really helpful, especially at reception.

The room was really hot so the whole day we needed to use the mobile ac. Further, breakfast was really expensive. 20GPD per person. Then walking over to the Brasserie the prives on the menu were 5-10GPD?! We went there for the Oasis concerts. So prices were high and therefore value for money was questionable (375 per night). However, in normal circumstances this should be much better. The location makes up for a lot of these disadvantages.

The Air Con in the room didn't work. The fact a Dyson tower fan was already in the room (the same for my three colleague's rooms) suggested it is permanently out of action. Being a city centre hotel, there isn't really an option to open a window due to noise and air quality. I can't score a hotel over 7/10 if the air con doesn't work!
