Good location close to the train station and city center. Very nice lobby and hotel restaurant. Well-equipped room—it had everything you could need for a short stay.

You can see that the rooms are a bit old.

The breakfast was excellent . The location was just what we needed to get into town and also to the co op arena . We found the room cold from 3-6 pm but when we came back from the concert it was warm and throughout the night too .

Just it was a little cold in the afternoon

The staff were so lovely especially Omar in reception who was so helpful and friendly. The bed was so comfortable and the ensuite well equipped and spotless. Fantastic location too. We will stay again

We weren't in Manchester for very long but it was a comfy bed and excellent shower. The room was bright and clean and it felt very kitsch.

Room had a good amount of space and was well furnished. The bathroom was very nice too with a nice big shower. Very close to the northern quarter of the city meant evening spots were a short wall away. Bed was nice and soft, though almost too soft!

A/C was broken and there was a replacement fan - the fan was good quality but didn't cool the room down as much so had to sleep without the duvet.

The room as a bit "tired" - some minor dents here and there + I expected a much higher level of cleanliness for a hotel of this level. It wasn't too bad and dirty obviously, but not at a level when you feel like at home. There is definitely room for improvement there.

Very nice location very close to Manchester Picadilly. The staff were very nice, the room was quite big (high ceilings as well).

The hotel has been bought and is undergoing a rebranding. We arrived at the moment someone was changing the signs at the door. That might confuse people.

Central heating, so not possible to turn off the heat in the room, and it was boiling. (One) silverfish in the bathroom. Two coffee bags in the room for a 3-night stay? Not sufficient! They were not replenished day 2, I had to ask for them, but only got them day 3. Bad WiFi connection in the public areas.

Comfortable room with some original features of the building. Comfy bed, though it was a bit low. Modern bathroom with large walk in shower. All in room necessities provided. Excellent city centre location.

Room decor needs an update; lamps missing from the main light fixture, peeling wallpaper, grey window netting and a cardboard painting that was just glued onto a frame and coming loose. The two members of reception staff at check in weren't very friendly and seemed really bored.

The biggest bed in all the years I have travelled! - The lounge area added some real enjoyment as it was spaced out and comfortable

Great huge comfy bed and good shower facilities - good location easy to find. The room was spotless and English breakfast was good if a little small for my tastes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Free water in the room would have been nice. The room was really hot for my personal taste so I had to leave the fan on all night as there was no way to turn down the AC - the remote wasn't in the room. Had an iron but no ironing board. But these are really nit picking - I would stay again.

Beautiful building and amazing decor. Staff were lovely.

No air conditioning or any form of temperature control in the rooms. Made for an uncomfortable night. That was disappointing.

The location and building were fabulous just a short walk from the railway station, very easy to find. Room was a decent six and the bed was huge!

There was no heating on in either the bedroom or most importantly the bathroom?? We were told that because nobody else had complained they couldn’t turn it on otherwise the hotel would be too hot??!! They did bring us a portable heater which did warm the room adequately so we did sleep very well indeed. It have been nice to have a heated towel rail though and it’s what one would expect of a 4* hotel surely? I have to say breakfast was definitely one of the best we’ve ever had in a hotel, well worth the £18 per person, excellent 👌

The suite was spacious and stylish. The bed was very comfortable and I had a fantastic night's sleep.

There was paint peeling on some walls, so needs a refresh. Also paid £18 in advance for breakfast, but for what I had it would've just been cheaper to buy it in the morning

The staff member on reception was extremely helpful with an upgrade to our room. Customer services couldn’t have been better - thankyou.

Room was nice, large, and quiet. The bathroom seemed quite new and had a great walk-in shower. Very comfy bed. The hotel is located very close to Piccadilly station. Breakfast was extra, but was very nice in an adjoining brasserie/bar. Overall it was good value.

Quite a lot of the woodwork is looking dated and needs refurbishing. When I tried to re-enter the hotel to pay for another coffee in the brasserie/bar it was too much trouble as they were still serving breakfasts, though it wasn't that busy. I went over the road to the Malmaison and paid for one there.

The heating only comes on for so many hours . Coming from Australia it was cold for us . The staff gave us an extra heater . But otherwise everything was lovely.

The room was very comfortable, particularly the bed. The bathroom was quite small, but very adequate, with a good shower. The breakfast is one of the best I've had, with very good fresh orange juice, very nice coffee, and a superb full English. The sourdough toast was very good. The location is excellent, being very close to Piccadilly train station. It's no more than a couple of minutes walk. The staff were all friendly and very efficient at check in. The main reception area is very comfortable (I waited there while my wife went shopping for an hour)

Breakfast in the format of brunch restaurant, having to order from menu, instead of usual hotel breakfast. Menu mostly eggs, quite limited otherwise. Weekend breakfast opening only at 8. Ordering format means extra 15 min wait. Good food, though. Bedroom not very welcoming.

The hotel was a former factory. High ceilings and structural steel as well as other authentic elements like the staircase and tiled door arches gave it a grand feel.

Price should have included breakfast and check out should have 12noon
