ABode Hotel, Manchester

Location great for shopping and food and drink. Everything within walking distance.

The entrance and bar area was lovely and all the staff were very friendly, however the room was quite dated and not very appealing, it had also not been cleaned the best as the tiles and shower screen had smears and hairs on the bathroom floor. The bed was very comfortable however and it was in a great location, however I would not book again based on the room.

The old style/ modern feel of the hotel is lovely. Loved the Bluetooth speaker in the room. Tea / coffee/ biscuits etc is always added bonus. Would recommend

Mattress and pillows too soft and room very small.

Location was great, also very good value for money. Room was also spacious and bed was comfy.

Parking was convenient but as with all other hotels these days, was still an additional cost that we could have done without. It was discounted by the hotel right enough and wouldn't put me off booking again

No usb socket to charge my watch and earphones.

Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. Fantastic location with a car park only 50 metres away. Reception staff attentive and well informed. Only towels for one person in the bedroom although we didn’t mind sharing. Dinner was great but the waitress wasn’t well informed about the menu so we ordered extra carbs when both dishes came with potatoes already.

The giant bed was comfy, the bathroom was fresh and modern, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was nice.

Air conditioning wasn't working, I felt a little uncomfortable with the lock not working from inside the room (even if it couldn't be opened from the outside), the breakfast choice wasn't that large, no self service, just a la carte.

Lovely room but a bit hot, good food.

The room was lovely, a huge bed and lots of space and I loved the bathroom, I wish more places had the controls at the opposite end to the shower head.

I was really warm considering it's only March my room was warm and the air con wasn't working (I did ask and was told they're not working) and although I had a fan I did find it really warm for sleeping.

Fantastic location, staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Room was very spacious.

Room could have been a little more modern, would have been helpful to have bedside lamps.

Description on Booking.com says Parking which in my experience means its available FOC but in this case its not so suggest you change it to "parking for extra fee" or remove On arrival no one told me about how the parking arrangement was made so unfortunately for me despite putting my car reg into the computer on reception I was unaware that there was a charge for parking & subsequently received a £60 parking fine. This was frustrating when I had paid for 10 rooms b&b. When I rang hotel after receiving the fine I was told I should have been informed at check in & when I advised that I wasn't I was told its in the small print so not their issue.

The hotel is beautiful and full of history. The room had everything I needed and it was very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. I had a competition that day, and they made sure we had an early breakfast, which was very thoughtful. The bathroom was also excellent. Overall, a great experience! Nice restaurant too.

The property is very nice, but be aware that street noise can be an issue. If you’re sensitive to noise, consider requesting a quieter room.

We liked the spacious, well appointed room.

Great room. I loved the size, aesthetic and cleanliness. Location spot on. Really interesting room. Loved the bathroom. Loved the decor and bed. I had to leave early, and kitchen kindly made me my chosen breakfast before they were supposed to open. I would absolutely stay again if travelling in Manchester.

I have so little negative to say. Avocados were lemonned rather than fresh, but perhaps I am spoilt as an Australian to always have fresh avocados :)

£7.50 in a taxi to co-op live. Hotel is a 2min walk from car park situated in centre

Restaurant prices are too expensive and not a very good menu

Young guy on reception on the Sunday was great, a good asset!! Close to Piccadilly, so easty for the train. Stayed on a Sunday for Footy at Utd, rates very good as its was Sunday.

Stylish characterful hotel situated within a short walk to the station and walkable or a short tram ride to the city centre. The bedroom was light & airy with a large comfortable bed & great pillows. A fully tiled en-suite bathroom with an excellent large walk in shower and toiletries. The brasserie doubled up as a breakfast room & a bar in the evening.

The breakfast room was very well laid out and had the potential to be excellent. Unfortunately not all of the waiting staff were fully conversed with breakfast service as on ordering 2 full vegetarian breakfasts and coffee was told neither was possible. I chose an alternative breakfast, although enjoyable, would not have been my first choice. I overheard an adjoining table order a vegetarian breakfast and coffee with a different member of staff & was dismayed when this was delivered to the table. I queried this to be told the other member of staff did not usually serve breakfast. I have addressed these issues in a request from the hotel manager but have yet to receive a reply.

Great location and room was comfortable. Facing the main street but not too noisy on a weekday evening. It's great that there was an iron, fan and hairdryer.

Room was a bit too warm, windows couldn’t be opened.

The staff were fantastic, very attentive and helpful. Particularly the man on reception when I checked in (didn’t catch his name but 9pm on 26 Feb) he had a great manner. Bed was lovely and comfortable!

Very small thing but the breakfast was cold. Very good flavour but unfortunately I think the avocados had been in the fridge so made the rest of the plate cold too.

Location is brilliant. Have stayed here a couple of times and the staff both at the front desk and in the adjoining restaurant are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

unfortunately the brasserie was not opened for dinner that evening - that was the only very minor thing. There were many other places to eat nearby so it was fine.

Great location and the room was very clean. Lots of nice added extras such as Bluetooth speaker and Dyson fan. My husband asked for an extra pillow which was delivered to our room 5 minutes later.

Couple of things in the room looked dated and in need of fixing but nothing major.

Odd it wasn't busier

Easy to get too, good access to parking and discounted. Great location to get to other areas of Manchester Friendly and polite staff.

The rooms were nice, but there were bits of ware and tear, such as damaged wooden floor, and broken toilet seat. Our room was located right by a service elevator and/or laundry room so was a bit noisy late afternoon.
