ABode Hotel, Manchester

hotel looks tired and needs a refurb. Check in staff member on my arrival could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room wasn't all that. The air con remote was missing and the iron was damaged but worked. It was room 112.

The hotel just felt a bit cold and I accept that the hotel is a converted old industrial building but the furniture in the communal areas needs a refit. I also did not get the discount rate for the car park on my 2nd day.

Excellent value for money . Beautiful old.building in a great location.. The room was massive. Bed super comfy. Breakfast was really good, table service and good choice. The only little niggle was the water temperature and pressure in the shower. Overall for what we paid would definitely recommend and stay again

We had a large corner room and it was a bit cold. Heating could not be turned on from the room. We had to request it to be put on each day

Had a problem with room next door and breakfast eggs were cold. Staff were brilliant and moved our room and replaced with a fresh, very hot breakfast.

Firstly the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel so welcome, we arrived early and didn’t have to wait long at all . Room was really spacious and decorated well with the biggest bed I’ve ever seen , so comfortable . Cleaner was amazing and maintenance guy was fantastic . Morning reception guy was very helpful . Great location in Piccadilly

The property itself was beautiful keeping old staircases and tiling etc. the room was lovely and spacious and really liked that there was a Bluetooth speaker as we were going to a concert.

The shower tray filled up fast so had to take a short shower, I’m guessing the plug needs unclogging. It also looked like the ceiling had been fixed up with the wall colour (which we did laugh about) and it was a little uncomfortable sleeping on the window side as the light shone under the short curtains. There was definitely some wear and tear issues that made some parts look a little scruffy, could definitely do with a touch up. These issues didn’t stop us from enjoying the hotel though!

Situated in the heart of Manchester, easy access to trams & shopping. Hotel has many original features that I love, particularly the staircase. Room was really large & spacious with additional sofas & chairs. The bed was x x extra large, it was really comfortable, I had a really good night sleep. Staff very friendly & professional.

Soap dispensers, I found it was difficult to push down & receive the soap. Probably in the room that we stayed in, needed a bit of TLC, lick of paint, but I'm being really picky.

Very spacious room with a huge comfy bed. Great shower facilities. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming, couldn't have asked for much more really.

Not that cheap but that's probably my own fault for leaving it fairly late to get a room on Valentines day.

Window doesn't open. Heat was unbearable. Turned it off at the radiator but it didn't turn off. Used a fan in the room which didn't make a huge difference.

Service was very slow in the bar and restaurant, but the quality of food and drink was excellent.

Room way too hot even with the fan on & window slightly open which then ment we could hear quite a bit of outside noise (drunk people, emergency sirens ect...) The tea sachet where good but the coffee was not nice.

Great location close to the train station. Clean facilities and a lovely breakfast. Morning reception staff and restaurant staff were nice and helpful.

Wasn’t informed in check in how to get the WiFi and no information in the rooms to assist with this. Late shift receptionist seemed like they didn’t want to be there, no smiles or greeting and while she would help when asked she seemed put out to do so. Small interactions like that can really bring down a stay

The room was outstanding. Loved the large windows with views all around, wooden floors and extremely comfortable bed. Very different from most hotels so it felt very special

Breakfast was a bit confusing when it was included. I like to have a few small dishes at breakfast

If travelling by car, surrounding car parks are expensive. The hotel does offer a discount for a few parks though!

Lovely hotel, comfy bed and really really nice bathrooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. Super short walk from Piccadilly train station and busses.

If I want to be picky, the poached eggs at breakfast were like rocks. It would be helpful if you could plug the hairdryer near a mirror. These are really the only negative things I could find though.

There is no possibility to say that we don't want to change our Towel. Itshould be possible to keep it same days to save same energy and water (and money for the hotel!)

Location was good

The air conditioning in our room wasn’t working, there was no way to control the radiators and so it was absolutely boiling. They had provided a fan, but still pretty poor. Room was also booked for 2 people and only one set of towels put out. Generally just felt a bit average for the price.

I've always found Manchester quite pricey for hotels, but this was great value and a great location being a few minutes walk from Piccadilly station and the same again to Piccadilly gardens. Nice room, and the decor in the common areas was a nice touch.

I honestly can't think of anything negative to say at all, apart from the shower leaked on the floor but easily solved by putting a towel down!

Location was great.

The location was great for an active city stay and was suitable to exit the city to other areas in the car. It is a clean and tidy hotel with the staff doing a great job with daily cleaning. Room was warm and spacious. Lighting was good in the room although one of the bedside lamps were faulty

The rooms were slightly dated in it's decor, no fridge and the TV has limited options, as it was an old flat screen

Location was great. Good price for somewhere to just get your head down.
