Pool area was great apart from when it was hired out for a business event (lot of speeches on a PA system) Excellent bed-room was spacious with a good size bathroom overlooking the ocean and the staff, especially at the desk were very helpful and friendly. Great location for getting into the local attractions - tip for everyone...don't be afraid to use the driverless cabs - they were great!!

Couldn't get Netflix on the TV but that was just a minor issue

Lovely rooms, close to the ocean and a few blocks from the pier. Friendly staff. Loved the "free" (with mandatory resort fee) bikes for the beach path.

The immediate surroundings are a little gritty, but that might just be Santa Monica.

The location is wonderful and enjoyed the hotel aesthetic. I was extremely impressed with the staff and accommodations as most of us were evacuees from the Palisades Fire. They offered generous accommodations with additional support for our pets and inconveniences.

The beds and pillows could be improved, but that could be a matter of goldilocks.

Expensive for a fairly standard room with no ocean view. Plus, you feel nickle and dimmed when the room includes no bottled water refills (available in tiny bottles at the front desk only upon request), no coffee machine and pods in the room ($8 coffee for purchase downstairs), expensive hotel restaurant even for basic breakfast fare, no microwave in the room, and they charge you for high speed internet. This does not feel like premium, high-end service.

We were at the Viceroy for my birthday and it was a pleasant experience! The lobby was super-relaxing, comfortable, and cozy, as was our room.The food and service are nice, but the menu doesn't offer that many options. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back.

The hotel is in a very central location. Its walking distance to the main streets for shopping for restaurants, bars etc. And also right across the Santa monica beach and pier. Our room was nice, clean, comfortable with enough space. We did not have the chance to spend time but the pool area is really nice, espeially at night time while there is fire it can be really nice to have drinks there.

Just two things breakfast and parking. The valet parking is 60 usd per night and it is the only option otherwise you should fine yourself a spot in the street or find a private parking space. And in general in most of the hotels breakfast is not included and it was nice but really expensive in the below cafe.

Great view from the room. Nice bar, staff were lovely. Free bikes for beach ride.

Food and drinks were very expensive, not many good options for kids. rooms don't have balcony/outside space, traffic noise when windows open.

Well placed for both Venice beach and Santa Monica. Free use of bicycles was great. Very helpful staff. Very comfortable bed.

No coffee machine or kettle in the room with long queues in the morning for coffee. No water glasses in the room after the first night and shower wasn’t great.

The location is a short walk from Santa Monica beach. The hotel has high charged valet parking. Parking is premium in the area. There is a bar that closes early. There is a restaurant with a small menu that closes early. There is a pool area and lounge seating available. The hotel is clean and well maintained.

The bar and restaurant closed early. We returned to the hotel after long days out but found eating and relaxing at the bar unavailable. This was part of the reason I booked this hotel, using the facilities after a long day in LA.

Great location for a hotel in Santa Monica, nice and clean facilities, great for business or small families travelling to LA.

Didn't like the fact you could only valet your car at a rate of $65 USD per night which is excessive for my standard & the pool cabana hire was between $300-$500 USD for the day which was more than the room rate. There was also no basic facilities in the hotel room like tea & coffee making items.

Bright and cheerful with a cool factor, very clean, restaurant, ocean view from my spacious 8th floor room. Right near the beach, but convenient to freeway. Peloton in the gym.

No coffee maker in the room (They are supposed to ask if you want one, but didn’t. And why do you need to ask?) and coffee downstairs was overpriced. No self parking and valet was $60.

The rooms were pleasant, with large bathrooms and good quality linens. Valet and house keeping staff were wonderful.

Questions at front desk met with derision; just asking for simple clarification. Pool area a little grubby. Sofa bed was really uncomfortable and once made up on the first night just left out. Finally, a bar staff member took my order, decided to serve a ‘preferred’ guest after taking my payment and then went back to complete my order. I don’t accept that kind of preferential treatment when we’re all paying guests.

We really enjoyed our time by the pool, the food was nice and the kids had fun. Our room was a great size.

No coffee machine in the room and the coffee shop in the lobby closes early. No turn down service so no fresh towels at night and no free bottles of water. If you go to stay with low expectations you will be ok.

The location is ideal. It is super central and fantastic for exploring Santa Monica and Venice. Not cheap but worth the spluge.

We could hear our neighbours next door fighting one of the nights.

It was a great location for the Santa Monica Pier, just one street away. The room was lovely and the outdoor area had fires which was cosy as the evening was a bit chilly. Also they charged our Tesla overnight which was very helpful and a great added benefit.

I do think it was quite expensive but I understand it is in a good location

Location Room Pool Food

I needed a "business center"-like to have remote meetings. The only one available required extra payment and it was also too expensive.

Location within walking distance to many restaurants & close to beach

Lots of places to meet family & hang out. Love the restaurant on site for the times we wanted to stay put & have breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack & cocktails. The staff was very accommodating & congenial!

After travelling for 20 hours, it would have been a nice gesture for staff to provide early check-in given the room was ready. Instead, staff chose to ask an extra $150 to check in a few hours early. A bit inhospitable.

Restaurant was really nice with attentive staff and good food. Location is ideal- walking distance to a lot of prime spots in Santa Monica. Would stay again.

Walls were really really thin. We were staying next to a clearly enthused group of bridesmaids and it felt like they were sharing the room with us. Not sure if this is in all rooms or just ours.
