Venice Suites, Los Angeles

The location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. Checking in and checking out were very easy. We occasionally could hear a bit of music from the boulevard which we enjoyed. The rooftop is nice for a relax. The studio room was a good size and comfy for 2 of us and had good wifi.

The mattress and linen were were fine but the bed base was decades old. Time for a new one I think. Everything else was good.

Location! Location location! Rooftop, good beds, nostalgic Venice.

Parking is several blocks away, but for a fee you can pay for overnight parking in the lot right next to the hotel if it isn't full.

I loved the rooftop and the view to the beach. The room was big and very comfortable. It was also very clean.

The walls are thin as paper, you can listen to everything from the rooms around yours. If you stay on the 4th floor, you have the chance to not listen to people walking above you.

We enjoyed our stay at Venice Suites. Great location next to the boardwalk. Within walking distance of nice restaurants and shops

The parking accessibility. They told us there would be plenty of parking along the main Ave. but that wasn't the case. We found paid underground parking close by for $30/night (note that you can not do overnight parking at the Public Beach parking lots that are close by). Their $20/night off-site parking seems to be quite a walk, and we also felt during check-in that they were encouraging us to find another option. Another minor detail if you are a sensitive sleeper, is that the pillows could use upgrading (they were very lumpy and high).

Location is perfect for access to everything.

Could do with a refurb and the gas heating in the room is not very effective.

The parking being right by it but had to wait a bit to procure it in the morning. Should be able to call for it to be ready. Elevator may be haunted.

Location was amazing, right on the beach! Parking was difficult, but we were warned ahead of time. We found free street parking about 5 blocks away. Put on your walking shoes and relax.

The elevator was a little sketchy, we chose to use the stairs after one ride.

Amazing location and rooftop terrasse! Simple, clean, helpful staff, super comfy bed, kitchenette was sufficient for us (we mainly used for breakfast and coffee). There is no AC, so kept at least one window open…. A bit of street noise, but nothing that disturbed us nor kept us up at night.

Not much really. For a stay right on the beach in LA, it felt worth the price.

I've stayed at Venice Suites three times in the last six months because:
- It's location on the beach is great
- It has a great view from the rooftop
- The beds are very comfortable.

- The lady at the front desk was quite rude for no reason, insisting that I'd booked through Expedia when I know that I didn't (it turns out that she was looking at another client's reservation...) and then forcing me out of the building for requesting my folio. Ridiculous...
- There is no central heating, so you have to cool down the room by leaving the window open in the summer

It was quite pricey for a room without AC in LA but otherwise very good.

It was a perfect location and we really enjoyed the sunsets on the rooftop terrace.

The staff at the front desk was not very warm or welcoming. Very brief and not smiley. It was our anniversary trip and she did not offer us a very romantic view or space or any added detail about the area.

The place was cute and the location was great. The bed was really comfortable.

No parking for the hotel. Had to pay $50 a night for the lot next store. There are a lot of steps to enter the building. The elevator is really old so it looks pretty cool, but it’s tiny and we were a little uneasy riding it. We were on the 3rd floor though and our luggage was heavy so we rode it. Also, the only bathroom is located in the room so if you have anyone staying on the couch they have to walk through the bedroom to use the bathroom.

The location was great, the room was spacious. The view from the top deck was a great addition.

It was extremely loud overnight. It sounded as though other rooms were having parties. The cost of the parking is excessive when it is a 10 minute walk away and the cost of the accommodation is already quite high.
