Kimpton La Peer Hotel, Los Angeles

We had such a lovely stay the location is great with some amazing food spots close by like the butchers daughter and great white. The hotel is super modern and the rooms are really spacious and comfortable. The staff are all lovely and super efficient, especially the valets they are always such a pleasure so helpful and couldn’t be friendlier they really stand out.

Nothing it was a great stay.

Big room and nice bed

I was told during the check out that they were sending the invoice by mail and they didn’t. I asked for it several times and always the answer was that it should be booking who provided it. Booking says that it should be them by contract. One way or another 2 weeks after my stay, still have not the invoice.

Great location, surrounded by restaurants and shopping.

That it felt safe and was close to so many restaurants and bars.
The rooms were big and spacious and the bed was super comfy.

The valet was pretty expensive per night.
I didn’t like the water pressure in the shower or from the basin it was low and difficult to wash your hair properly. The patio door was also difficult to lock and we had to get someone to help us lock it.
There was also an incident where the fire alarms were activated by a group of kids filming and it was going off for 2 hours in the rooms before the fire brigade could disarm it. Once that happened we could still hear the fire alarm in the car park from our rooms which continued all night and was still going when we checked out at 9am the next morning. It was very inconvenient not to mention concerning that even the fire brigade couldn’t disarm it.

Beautiful pool, great to have the complimentary wine/appetizer social hour, great location for walking, and lovely staff.

The gym was small, with only one yoga mat. However, the pool was beautiful and early morning walks in the neighborhood are a great alternative

Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Wine and cocktail hour is a nice touch. Excellent restaurant. Gym and pool. Good central location in West Hollywood close to restaurants, bars and shops.

The location

Way to expensive for what it is. Marketed as 5 star hotel. Check in at 1 pm would result in an « early check-in fee » of 100 USD. At arrival no one helps you with your bags. You carry them yourself. At the front desk you are given a sheet of paper with all the information regarding breakfast etc. instead of the receptionist talking to you
No coffee machine in the room. No turndown service. The gym is in a devastated condition

The location was perfect. Close to many fab restaurants and bars, near a great shopping centre called Pavillions, close to Beverly Hills.

I just felt we paid so much money and expected much more from a boutique hotel. Service was really ordinary. Pre arrival no one answered my questions. During stay staff could not provide and recommendations for dinner. Overall staff were just not that good.

The phone never worked in room. Even when requesting it be to fixed they never did. They tried to fix it at 11 PM when I reported the problem at 8 AM. There was no TV control in the room and the air conditioner would

Central Location

There was a really Bad smell ( Burning smell) that filled the corridor and our room which affected our stay.
raised it with the staff 5 x Times and had no response or action.

Service was sorely lacking. Food options minimal. No coffee in room. No room service.

Lovely decor and good lounge areas super front desk people

Rooms had no kettle or coffee machine but full on bar ! Pool was freezing and looked a lot bigger in photos . Can only do valet to park car gets expensive

The hotel is very nice and chic. It’s very clean with a great staff. I enjoyed the restaurants on site - very good food and drinks. I felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel.

I’ve stayed a few times. Very modern and nice sized rooms. Comfortable beds and good showers.

There was construction work going on and when I checked in, reception told me it would begin at 7am. That was fine as I get up then for work anyway. The drilling and banging started at 5am!! I had just flown in and I was in desperate need of sleep. It was awful. I had to then drive to Malibu for a full day of intense work and I was exhausted.
