room very spacious, bathroom fully equiped. great location. staff is very friendly and attentive

pool is very small and the soace around limited.

The young lady at front desk and the gentleman that ran the gift shop are the star of the hotel. They greeted us daily and had care in the level of service they delivered

Cleanliness of room and the gym were not to standard. Also would not of placed a family in a room above the restaurant

Afterwards we asked the simple question (several times!) to send a copy of the bill. No reply at all.

Great location, tucked away on a side street but still walkable to everything. The staff was attentive and the overall value exceeded expectations.

Kimpton has limited room service that closes at 10 pm also no coffee in the room

Noise (loud thumping music and conversation) in nearby room that went on for hours from 2-5 am until I called to complain and then it ended. Also I was disappointed that we had to wait fir our room even though I had called at 6 am to confirm that our room would be ready and even though we arrived past 3 pm we still had to wait

Dasign, comfort and room layout were exceptional and to our taste. Size and hotel location are also excellent. Did not have the opportunity to enjoy the bar or dine. Staff was very good.

1. Our room location was not to our liking.... over the pool (& entertainment) on a weekend with party music that did not stop until 11:00. Many might not care.... we did. Front desk should have notified us ahead of time & given us the opportunity to change rooms; they did not. 2. Unknown charges appeared on our room bill; over $300.00 for the restaurant + a mini-bar charge. ?? These were removed, but c'mon, you're a top-line LA hotel. Unacceptable.

The phone never worked in room. Even when requesting it be to fixed they never did. They tried to fix it at 11 PM when I reported the problem at 8 AM. There was no TV control in the room and the air conditioner would Not work automatically

Unhelpful staff who could not help me organise an interview. The concierge made things very embarrassing. I ended up shooting it in my bedroom. This is LA the land of Film!

Location

The valet was overwhelmed, events in the lobby, NO COFFEE UNTIL 7am and no coffee maker in rooms. The elevator smelled like a fart. The mattresses aren’t top quality. The room didn’t have a nice smell. Overall. Not luxury

Central Location

There was a really Bad smell ( Burning smell) that filled the corridor and our room which affected our stay. raised it with the staff 5 x Times and had no response or action.

Service was sorely lacking. Food options minimal. No coffee in room. No room service.

Rooms had no kettle or coffee machine but full on bar ! Pool was freezing and looked a lot bigger in photos . Can only do valet to park car gets expensive

There is construction happening which is noisy.

Incredibly noisy room, which I complained about incessantly - it was impossible to watch TV or focus on anything else while it was going on. The manager investigated but couldn't find anything (?!) and offered me a credit without being asked. It continued the next day with a vengeance and we just stopped spending time in the room. Still no credit (despite reminding front desk staff about it at check out) or any word from the hotel.

It was very classy and well presented.

I love this hotel, its little but it has everything you need. It has a great location for restaurant and shopping.

I’ve stayed a few times. Very modern and nice sized rooms. Comfortable beds and good showers.

There was construction work going on and when I checked in, reception told me it would begin at 7am. That was fine as I get up then for work anyway. The drilling and banging started at 5am!! I had just flown in and I was in desperate need of sleep. It was awful. I had to then drive to Malibu for a full day of intense work and I was exhausted.

Lived the whole vibe of the hotel from the artworks to the staff. Phillip & Noah in particular were extremely helpful & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.

It would have been nice to have tea making in the room with fresh milk & complimentary bottled water.

The location was very good, the lobby of the hotel & pool area was lovely and the front of house staff were always friendly.

my views have since changed due to firstly the noise that starts at 6am every morning from the building site which our room backed onto this did ruin our stay and secondly also our room did not get cleaned every day. However we did not complain about these things as we were there a few days and we do not like to complain. however our biggest disappointment was that we had asked for some dry cleaning to be done 3 days before we were due to check out… it stated 24hour dry cleaning. we asked on check out where this was to be told it would be with our belongings when we came to collect them later that day, they were not. The hotel said they would post our items however once I have sent the address all my messages have been Ignored.. not only that we have been charged for the dry cleaning bill. for such a beautiful hotel with lovely staff it does not seem 5*

Over charged my card incorrectly 3 times and when I called to rectify the situation they were incompetent
