Wombats was a perfect base to explore London. We had a private quadruple room with our own terrace with amazing views of the city rooftops. Room was comfy & very clean. Great staff and atmosphere. I stayed with my teenage children and we felt very welcome. Good value for money, highly recommend.

It's a nice place to stay at within walkable distance to London Tower and Tower Bridge. In general, you can get around very well by bus and train. I have stayed with Wombat's before (in Vienna) and was again impressed by the efficiency of the place: at check in you get your own keycard that opens the doors to the different sections of the hostel including your floor, room door and locker. You can select your own bed within the dorm room and get the bedding which you need to put onto your mattress, blanket and pillow. The beds all have individual curtains, lights, safe and power outlets. In the female 6 beds dorm there was a seperate room with a toilet, one with a shower and sink and a sink available for everyone in the room - so sharing the facilities was no problem. I didn't get to see the common room, bar or kitchen as I just stayed one night with late check in and early check out: the reception is staffed 24/7 with lovely and helpful people! The woman in the dorm were really respectful, friendly and quiet. Highly recommend!

I had a great stay in London! The hostel’s location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city during the Christmas period. The facilities were excellent, everything worked perfectly, and the lobby staff were friendly and provided great service. Highly recommend!

Professional, can't complain, great experience. Because of my stay here, I will consider choosing hostels again. I haven't used hostels before, because I was afraid of being in a shared room. But this was a great experience, and I hope all hostels are as good as this one.

Really great atmosphere!! We stayed for a week, and had the most incredible time at Wombar every night meeting plenty of people. The staff were fabulous and lots of fun. Highly recommend to everyone!

Well organised, clean hostal with a + for the bar space

Congestion for the lyft The reception is very busy, they are busy with their work it takes away a bit of the charm of a hostal

It was pretty safe a secure within the building. The huge kitchen was really great.

The hostel is clean, you have a personal locker and a small safe, there is a kitchen, a pub with daily activities... A great place overall.

Although there is a kitchen, some of the stove heaters didn't work. Besides that, I had no problems whatsoever.

Super clean. Easy to transport anywhere - many popular attractions by walk. Super helpful staff!! And the common areas are so cosy. Also the luggage room with lockers is a bonus.

1. location despite a lot of services around, the underground stations are 15 minutes away. 2. I prefer to have the beds made. however here you need to place the sheets yourself and take them off after when you check out.

The space and the view from the private terrace room was incredible and exceeded expectations for a hostel.

The breakfast was a little lacking in variety and value.

The room was clean and spacious. The bunk bed was comfortable to sleep and also to sit. The staff was good. Had a nice stay.

The staff was pleasant. Each member was helpful with check in, answering questions and giving advice. I also liked that all of the employees were young. The beds were comfortable and appropriate sizing, the lockers were spacious, the bathroom was clean, the location was perfect. It was everything I expected it to be!

The USB port stopped working in my room around 4am. I had to go downstairs to in the lobby to charge my phone.

The Breakfast deal was not good, only options were bread ham cheese and cereal and coffee

The luggage room it used to be free had no idea you paid for it now.

Near Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations makes travelling in central London easy. Supermarkets nearby as well. I liked my stay in 4 bed dorm as it had an en suite.

Some staff were really friendly however some had an attitude for no reason, and spoke disrespectfully. Paying for keeping luggage is ridiculous. Renting a dryer / laundry was expensive

Awesome hostel. Great long beds for all those taller people, curtains, fully stocked kitchen, hangout areas are massive so loads of space to stretch out if you want privacy or socialise as it caters for both. The area is central enough to walk to the 'cool' neighbourhoods in london and get lost and discover markets and cultural fun.

Only thing is wear ear plugs as you hear the train go by here and there throughout the night. (Stayed in female dorm)

Very clean, organized, recently renovated, most things in working order and in good condition e.g. modern bathroom. Excellent hostel experience overall. Hard floors, electronic lockers included. Decent breakfast for the price. Highly recommended compared to other hostels which may be similar price but lack many of these features

Not a major issue but: (i) Clothes hanger rack inside electronic locker was broken. (ii) Some beds did not have privacy curtains.(iii) Ironing can only be done in the main reception hall which felt slightly out of place

Breakfast was excellent. Dorms were peaceful. Although sounds os the street were inevitable; I see Wombat's did the best installing doubled tempered glass in windows.

One of the staff was cynical but where doesn't exist jerks.

The location is close to the underground and the places of interest

The socket near the bed does not fit easily with an adapter because of the little space. Considering a lot of guests are coming out of the UK, this is not a trivial problem.

Perfect location to explore central London

Plenty of space in the room and a large bathroom. Sink and mirror also outside the bathroom that make it easy to get ready while leaving the shower to others. Lockers big enough to store a suitcase, a bag and winter coat no need to buy a lock for it BIG PLUS! Rooms cleaned EVERYDAY :) And huge communal spaces very comfortable.

Bit far from the very center if you’re a first time London tourist (30 min tube). But so goodly placed if you’ve been in London enough to not wanna see Big Ben anymore. Cute non touristy things nearby.

The people, the bar

The location. The nearest underground was 700 meters away and you should walk under a bridge to get there that’s quite dangerous. Apart from the London bridge, there is no touristic areas near the hotel, so you should spend a lot of time and money using the underground or just walking.

The female dormitory is very spacious, there is a lot of room to unpack, store your stuff in the lockers, the beds are comfortable and clean. The staff was super friendly, I had to modify my booking and stay 2 days less, they changed it without any issues and I even received partial refund. Location of the hostel is also great, just few minutes from the Tower Bridge. The area also seems quite safe.

USB charger near the bed could be changed to USB-C Internet in the room was not so fast, in the lobby it was perfect though

I like how the locker are not under the beds like most Hostels. The locker works with the same keycard to enter the room. There's also a safe and fan in all Bunk beds. Kitchen is excellent.

It's not that I didn't like, But perhaps a toilet outside the bed rooms. Or on certain floors would be good. Although there is one on the ground floor. So all in all it's fine. Always clean.
