Park Villa Boutique Hostel, London

The rooms were cute and reminded me of bunks at a holiday camp; they're private and have all the amenities you need for a stay. Padlocks were provided for keeping our belongings safe and when we got back to the hostel late were cooked ourselves food in the kitchen and watched a film in the living room before bed. The beds were enclosed and each one had chargers, lamps and fans within.

The beds werent the comfiest as i woke up with a sore back, maybe an extra pillow would be good? Curtains on the other side of the bed by the window might be nice for the window facing bunks - a bit bright in the morning. Aside from that it was fab!! soooo much better than other hostels we stayed in in London. Really lovely and we will definitely come back when were next in the area. Thankyou all so much!

Great location, only a very short, flat walk to Mile End Tube Stations. Coop close by plus London Coffee for a nice Veg Samosa and Cappuccino at a good price,

The brown carpet made seeing the stairs at night hard, but that’s only a problem for old folks.

Easily the best hostel I've stayed at!
Staff were friendly, happily showed me around the hostel.
The facilties were great, shared bathroom inside the room which was well kept. It had multiple bathrooms outside too, each were clean and spacious.
Had a great time talking to others staying there, which were going to the same concert as me. It was the first time I've properly bonded with people in a hostel.
Comfortable beds, plug and storage by bed. Storage rack by door too.
Short walk to underground.
This hostel has a higher price point but it was 100% worth it!

Rubbish left by someone staying else there, this is not the property's fault.
Getting up to the top bunk was quite uncomfortable and could disturb those below, but it is expected.
Wish there was a better place to hang towels rather than the ladder/chairs.

The staff there were really friendly. There were plenty of bathroom facilities for the number of people staying in the dormitories.

I did not think the breakfast buffet was great value for money.

It’s hard to define boutique:
Dirty run down bathrooms and the kitchen facilities were not much better - could do with an overall face lift … tiny lounge if wanting some space - facilities in general a bit dated - could be amazing with some TLC …

Bathroom a little shabby and in general needs a bit of sprucing up

The hostel was very clean and had really comfortable beds. The curtains on the beds to give more privacy are a great idea. The room had lots of space. The staff was super helpful and helped me find something I had forgotten there. Totally recommended!

Friendly staff, great public transportation connections and a warm and cozy area.

Unfortunately the duvet covered in plastic was a bit uncomfortable for me. Otherwise everything was great.

In room shower facilities even though these wouldn't be sufficient if the dorm is fully booked.

Beds were comfortable but the bedding itself had a very plastic feel to it. Center of London is quite a while by tube. Area itself is not super nice but did not feel unsafe.

Very pleasant staff , nice and clean and modern, cosy tv room, outside benches ,ample kitchen facilities, comfortable and clean bunk beds

A bit more air conditioning in the dorm as with 12 men sleeping it was very stuffy in the morning, no air, but warm.
Perhaps it was busier than usual.

Nothing, good for what I needed

It was my first time staying in the hostel and I don't have anything to compare it to as I normally stay in the hotels. I was surprised with my overall experience especially the staff as they all helped me with my needs. The parking was a big bonus for me!

I should have asked for the second pillow to make it more comfortable to sleep.
It was a little strange to sleep in the room with strangers but I had no problems.

Staff were friendly, check-in easy, close to where I needed to be. I liked that the windows opened to let in cool fresh air. Parking was easy.

It's a little cramped and unless I missed it I didn't see much common area to hang out. Otherwise no big complaints.

Narrow stairs

Friendly staff - very helpful. I asked for a padlock and it was offered for free (I had to return it at the end of course).
Spacious rooms.
Clean bathrooms.

The socket close to my bed was not working. I did not complain as I could charge my phone at work.
Not about the accommodation but one guest had his alarm going all the morning from 5am onwards and he did not turn it off but just snoozed it - bit annoying tbh.

Convenient location for events at Victoria Park

5 minute walk from Mile End tube station

Dorm was bigger than expected

Bunk was clean and comfortable (no funny smells unlike other hostels I've been to in London). Usual amenities e.g light, power also privacy curtain.

Good value for money

Not sure if it was the gentleman on receptions first day but he was very grumpy. The check in process took much longer than expected. He was going to charge me again until I pointed out the money had already been taken from my bank account. He expressed some dissatisfaction for his colleague which came off as rather unprofessional. The lady who showed me to my dorm was lovely though.

Lovely building at a perfect location. Very good first impression, very welcoming and pristine clean and staff was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. All that put me at ease straight away, as I was a solo traveller and never really stayed in a hostel, but straight away I feelt safe and relaxed. Room was great, well equipped and nice and clean. Beds very comfy, pristine clean fresh duvet, handy little locker/shelf by the bed with a phone charging socket and a little reading lamp and fan. Handy lockers under the bed for your bigger stuff, shelves, some sitting and a nice desk/vanity table by the window. Bathroom basic but very clean with everything you should need there and the shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. Highly recommended place for a great price!

Just because I'm a night owl and wanted to read a book late late at night without disturbing the person sleeping below me, and was worried I may wake her up with my bunk's reading light shining all the way down by the wall side of the bunk, another set of privacy curtains on the wall side too would be handy. But tbh she may have been ok with that little bit of light and not wake up at all, but I know some people are light sleepers and I didn't want to disturb her. Everything else was perfect and bed so comfy! I slept well :)

it was by a busy road which made sleeping somewhat difficult, lots of sirens and loud noises could be heard

The bed and room are super clean. The staff is super nice, especially answering my questions and queries in detail.
The price is reasonable.

Some facilities were worn out in the room, but it took time for them to repair. Fortunately, they provided solution or alternative to deal with it.
It is a shared room, so it is understandable that there may be some level of noise around.

The staff was great, friendly, and helpful. I felt at ease as soon as I arrived. The location is great and the space itself was fine.
