Great hotel, good location, staff were great and the rooftop bar was pretty cool to see the city at night. We also had a package delivered there in the day which was handled with care and we were able to check in without any additional charges.

There was a mouse on in the rooftop bar!

Check in wasn’t friendliest

The location of the hotel is central, the reception area is lovely, lots of sofas & chairs to relax or work from. The rooms are a good size, beds were comfy, shower good, was very quiet at night/in the morning, we were on the 5th floor. We didn't eat at the hotel so i cannot leave a review for that.

We've been before and it is every bit as cool as we remember. Rooms and service are first rate and location to bars and restaurants could not be better.

When we arrived at check-in time, every single seat in reception was taken by someone working with a laptop. I don't know if that's by arrangement but there were no seats for residents at all.

It was perfect, no noise, very clean room. Downstairs enough room to sit by the fireplace and relax and in the evening there’s lots of people and music but i love the energy.

The staff of the restaurant didn’t treat us properly and that annoyed me a bit but i guess they’re not part of the hotel.

Loved the style and vibe of the hotel, the layout of rooms are very well designed, stylish yet functional.

There was only one person behind the bar, therefore, the breakfast we had ordered, we had eaten most of before our drinks arrived. The drinks were taken off the bill, which was very much appreciated.

Excellent hotel sorry our past review was of the other hotel we booked in error with similar name.

The Hoxton in Shoreditch has been recently refurbished and the rooms, bar, reception etc are beautiful. The Hoxton hotels are always stylish. This one is in a good location, not far from Liverpool St station.

Reception staff weren’t the friendliest.

Location of the hotel was a bonus, close to good transport links. Breakfast good standard and,we appreciated the flexibility of ordering breakfast if required on the day. Large window that we could actually open! The shower was excellent.

1. Service at bar/restaurant was slow and orders repeatedly wrong for hot milk for coffee. Would eat breakfast somewhere else. 2. Charging ten quid for a later checkout (one hour) is a bit miserly

Staff were a bit awkward when trying to get a drink in the evening with some guests which was not great

Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable.

It was difficult to hear the staff at check in as the bar area had really loud music playing. We loved the atmosphere but it did make check in a bit difficult as we couldn't hear what was being said.

I liked the general vibe of the reception and restaurant area.

The security in the reception was intimidating, suspicious and not welcoming when you walk in. As an experienced solo traveller I felt uncomfortable asking for a table for dinner.

Gorgeous clean rooms, bathroom lighting was great and shower space and water pressure was delightful. Atmosphere in the lobby is always fantastic, you cant walk out of there in a bad mood! We love the Hoxton and will always come back.

Great location, currant and fun restaurant and bar, The room was cosy, quiet, and very well-equipped with a great round mirror. Thoughtful touch that a bottle opener was provided Have already booked another stay.

Location was great and I thought being in the centre of Shoreditch on first floor I’d be disturbed by outside and the vibrant bar downstairs, I wasn’t. It was comfortable, clean and excellent shower.

My only slight negative is noise from the corridor - it sounds like people are right there with you but little you can do about that really!

I didn’t have breakfast

The service in the restaurant on Saturday lunchtime was slow. Our drinks were prepared and left on the bar for ages so we collected ourselves. I couldn’t charge lunch to my room as machine not compatible with reception.

The location was excellent - both the area itself and the public transport links. The bathrooms were lovely. Bed excellent but pillows didn’t suit me.

A couple of decisions about service were rather strange. I was there at a wedding and the management insisted that we had to have breakfast in a side room rather than the main restaurant (which was almost empty).

Friendly staff who all went that extra mile to help. Room very comfortable with fridge and tea making facility. Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

As you walk through the door feels so homely. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was so clean and comfortable. Love the little things like being able to order food from local bagel shops.

My stay at The Hoxton Shoreditch was overall a really great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was clean and well maintained. I had an amazing time there and even made a lot of new friends during my stay, which really added to the experience. Overall, despite a few minor issues, it was definitely a nice stay, and I truly appreciated the atmosphere, staff, and social vibe of the hotel.

I do understand that cleaning crew coverage may have been limited at times, but when our room was cleaned, our shot glasses unfortunately went missing. It seems like they may have been accidentally removed during cleaning, and despite asking, they were never found. That was pretty frustrating, and I would really appreciate it if someone could help look into this or offer a solution. Another small downside was that the hallways were being repainted in the morning, which caused a strong smell throughout the area. Unfortunately, it gave me a headache, and it would have been nice to have some notice or to schedule that work later in the day. As for pricing, I think it was fair for London, though I do wish the room had been a bit larger for the price paid. I know space is limited in the city, but that would have made the stay even better.

Bathroom smelled all the time, cleaning is on request which seems strange given the price point, if it was a cheaper more budget hotel, i would understand. Also one lift was broken the whole time so the entire hotel had to use a single lift which creared significant delays. And the room lacked ventilation and was overly heated

A very comfortable room with a good bed, nice pillows and lovely bathroom. Appreciated little touches like the fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. It was also surprisingly quiet given the location.

It would have been nice to have had the room serviced after our first night but reception did send up clean towels, replacement tea and milk when requested. The hotel is fairly close to bus stops/Bow tube and there are a few nice cafes around but the road itself is quite busy/not very appealing.
