Hotel The Savoy, London

Everything was excellent, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, but not obsequious.

It was a bit difficult to find your way round.

The hotel is in a fantastic location with some rooms that overlook the river Thames. Whilst being an iconic, well known venue, The Savoy is always on top of it's game from a customer service perspective with nothing to fault. Room decor is traditional, though of outstanding quality, well maintained and spotlessly clean.

We tried to order a drink from one of the bars and was told it was only available in their American Bar - we'd expect, as residents, a can do attitude and for the team to source the requested wine and serve throughout all outlets.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and it is an amazing property. We had a one night stay to celebrate my husband’s 50th Birthday & the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The level of service is exceptional & the hotel is beautiful. We had a fabulous meal in the River restaurant on the evening & the cocktails in the iconic American Bar were out of this world. For 24hrs we were in a different world & it was a wonderful experience we will never forget.

Absolutely amazing.. Excellent from beginning to end.. I advised this stay was a surprise gift to my husband for our 30yr wedding Anniversary & 8 weeks ago we found out he has Cancer. We have made a beautiful memory. Thank you The Savoy for the room upgrade, complimentary bar and beautiful chocolate gift. Thankyou to all the staff who do an amazing job & are so friendly & welcoming. We were truly blown away xxx

Excellent food, services, comfort and peace and quiet.

Having a room service charge added to the final bill that we can decline if we wish felt most unwelcome and off-putting.

Gorgeous nice old building but very wide . You would be lost inside.

The room bell was broken and no notice a night check person came in the room. Cleaning lady , checking lady and night bedding person came in and out often. They do too much.

Confusing breakfast arrangements

Absolutely delighted with our stay. All the staff were wonderful, extremely helpful and polite. We were checked in by Ana who was a gem. She helped us sort out reservations to The Savoy Grill our first evening there and also for tea at the Thames Foyer the next afternoon. In addition to seeing that we were enjoying our evening, Thierry at The Savoy Grill also spent time at our table sharing stories and humorous anecdotes about the history of the restaurant and the many famous people who frequented it over the years. Tea at the Thames Foyer was perfect and everything we had expected. Our server Maria was wonderful and provided just the level of attentiveness we needed. Our room was impeccably clean, well appointed and extremely comfortable. We had a fantastic view of the Thames River, the London Eye and The Victoria Embankment Park below. All in all we feel that this was a completely wonderful experience and we look forward to staying again the next time we visit London.

Quality everywhere, from the reception, restaurant and the room, everything was top quality and the beds were very comfortable.

Everyone we met during our stay went over and above to ensure we had an amazing time. The attention to detail was incredible, from reception staff, all bar staff, restaurant staff, doormen, concierge and the housekeeping staff.....totally 10 out of ten! We cannot wait to return 🙌

Having to leave!

Great location and even greater service. We were celebrating my son’s graduation - the Savoy staff went over and beyond in making it special. There were congratulatory balloons & chocolates in the room and judging from the ‘congratulations’ from various staff members (from the front desk to room service), everyone seemed to have ‘gotten the memo’. It made our stay extra special. In particular, I’d like to mention Genci, the loveliest doorman, who always welcomed us so warmly, and Lea of the front desk who never failed to ask about our day.

Really upped their game from our last visit. We tend to stay here or the Corinthia. Savoy have beat them this time(although spa facilities better at Corinthia) but food, rooms and service are better at Savoy

Beautiful hotel with a storied history in an ideal location in London center, terrific breakfast, exceedingly gracious and exceptional staff (special thanks to Concierge, Darren M.), excellent experience at restaurant “1890”. We enjoyed an overall wonderful stay and will return.

Beautiful hotel all the staff very polite , great location , the American bar in the evening was relaxing with the pianist , when returning to room in evening slippers by the bed lights dimmed every detail was amazing even my phone charger had been put tidy
