The warmth of the staff, palpable history of the place, Bagheera, how well they’ve taken care of everything is.

The staff, location, food service and rooms where absolutely amazing. Will was particularly helpful. I will stay there every time I’m in London

Old English charm, super close to Farrington subway station, safe and walkable and quiet area, very friendly and helpful staff at all hours of the day, honest bar was unique and enjoyable.

Toilet flushed was on a long hanging chain, no rhyme or reason on how to get it to flush and often took several minutes to get it working, staff did not warn us it was an issue but when I brought it up later offered to move us to a new room. There is a bath but no shower. Full sized beds are really small especially if you are not used to it. Sink space is very small, no room to put any toiletries.

Beautiful old building, preserved well. Wonderful part of old London and lovely antique furniture.

Would love a full dinner to be offered there.

Very peaceful and quiet. An excellent base for a stay in London. Great bus and tube links. Lovely staff.

Well appointed rooms with quirky decor. Breakfast served in room. Honesty bar and lounge areas are a nice touch. Also the cat.

Decor and the amazingly friendly staff

The TV didn’t work, but that didn’t matter

Welcoming, friendly staff, and genuinely comfortable social spaces. It is surprisingly quiet for such a great location.

I had been warned they have scaffolding up but it did make the room rather dark, and not very private. That is temporary though, and everything else was pretty much perfect.

All rooms as well as the whole house are furnished with beautiful antiques. That’s what I really loved about this hotel: its quaint antique touch! The bedding was excellent and the staff were very kind. Breakfast was also delicious and, to crown it all, they have a very nice cat!

All rooms ought to be equipped with a safe deposit box.

The history , decor and atmosphere-

I felt the spirit of old England. A perfectly located hotel close to the train, metro and bus station. Close to restaurants, bars and shops, but also a very quiet place to relax. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I would love to come again.

Amazing staff super clean and very relaxing

Everything. The history, the comfort, the service, and the overall feel of the hotel. I particularly enjoyed breakfast being delivered to the room each morning (small note here, the breakfast wasn't included in the cost of the room but was very reasonably priced). The shared guest areas were very well presented and comfortable. Other guests must have thought so too. There was always someone about enjoying breakfast, afternoon tea, or just an evening drink. Finally, the hotel cat was a lovely surprise. She was very friendly and gave the hotel a real homely feel.

I liked everything.

The staff was phenomenal! We loved them all, especially Aaron! We really enjoyed the common areas. My husband had somewhere to go and hang out until I woke up. We also love the resident kitty. Scratches for Begera from us please!

The handles on the sinks made it hard not to get burned or frozen, but I suppose such is the charm of an antique style hotel.

I loved the ambience of The Rookery .... it was like stepping into a Jane Austin novel ! The staff were extremely professional and helpful and the facilities were fantastic. Thank you 😊

The room was slightly too dark.

The four poster bed, the breakfast, the little anteroom, the comfortable bathtub, and the friendly staff

The toilet cistern leaked slightly, which caused a discrete noise until we closed it by hand

Cosy with period features and excellent welcome

Only minor gripe was no tea / coffee in room

We were upgraded, without asking. The room is larger and the bed very comfortable.

There is no kettle / coffee maker. However, I subsequently requested and were brought my coffee, to my pleasant surprise. My other family members didn't know about it :-(

Check in was smooth, even if there was a bit of a frosty vibe initially. Liked the location and the whole feeling of The Rookery. Honesty bar was a nice touch. Styling and decor were lovely.

Somebody stomping around endlessly above my room in the early hours of the morning. No idea if it was staff or other guests. As mentioned above, a little bit more work on the welcoming. Even if you're not directly responsible for checking guests in, perhaps a brief acknowledgement that there's a guest standing in front of you would be good.

This hotel is second to none. It’s impeccably decorated throughout, even the hallways. There’s a lot of cute common areas you can lounge in if you want, including a bar. I stayed here once before, and after this second stay I can say without a doubt that this is my favorite hotel!

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property.
