Overall decent room

Room service was significantly below satisfactory. Hairs found in the meal. Also the breakfast room service was very poor — cool and undercooked.

Staff were excellent. Breakfast super.

Speed if room service 35 mins for two coffees. No coffee making facilities in room which is mostly standard with other 5 star London hotels. Curtains in room let light in even when pulled light comes through the tips. This affects quality of sleep.

Quirky unique and stylish

I find the service charge and prices of food and drink need looking at. Staff need to inform the customer of the high service charges

Little pricey but the standard of the Hotel and the excellent staff justify the expense.

It was the touches of hospitality that wowed us. The extra bed was made for our 3 year old daughter and they left a children's book for bed time stories. In the bath room next to our bath robes was a smaller bath robe and slippers just her size. She felt very special wearing this.

We just wished we'd booked a longer stay to enjoy it more.

I think you should consider putting a coffee machine in the room as it was frustrating have to call room service.

Nearly everything

Unfortunately, there's a lot of outside noise so it was difficult to get to sleep until after 2 am.
I understand that because of the location, in future, I will try to request a higher level floor as I was only on level two

A little noisy, very very busy

Super quality. Wonderfully quirky interiors, comfortable library for enjoying a drink and rest, beautiful large room and bathroom with everything we needed. Great location, tucked in a pretty courtyard

We found the bed a little hard

It is a very luxurious and modern hotel with excellent location in Central London. The room was comfortable, beautiful and colorful. The other area I enjoyed a lot was the library of the hotel - we spent a nice evening with friends in its very cozy and elegant environment. The dinner in the restaurant was exquisite - I do strongly recommend it.

I would expect more in terms of service for the price of this hotel.

Everything about this hotel has been carefully considered. The decor and comfort is second to none. The position in the centre of Soho meant everything was on our doorstep. But even though we were in the centre of the hussel and bussel of London the quiet courtyard of Ham Yard was calm and quiet. Fabulous hotel in an exceptional location

The staff were engaging and very friendly but very professional at the same time.

Our room was on a low floor so unfortunately was a littel noisy in the early morning when bins were being collected.

2. Ham Yard is almost identical to the Soho Hotel (also a Firmdale property) but in my opinion less refined, despite being pricier. Ham Yard is trendier I think, and in a very slightly better location but Soho is in my opinion the better choice.

Unfriendly front desk staff. Lots of 'not possible'. We arrived early and asked to be notified by WhatsApp (only had a data sim) when our room was ready. Apparently something that is not possible.

They could also not give us an idea when then room would be ready, how hard is it to assign a room and coordinate with housekeeping? Not possible apparently.

The concierge and his team on the other hand were fantastic and accommodating in every way. Perhaps management should get the concierge desk to train the front desk on customer service.

The best and most comfortable room we have had in London, and by far the best bathroom with everything thought through and immaculately clean - really impressed. We had an exceptional dinner in the Courtyard area which was perfect with great service

Nothing, and we are really picky! This is the first Hotel in London we have stayed at where we had absolutely nothing we did not like - a lot!

Junior suite was well designed and spacious. Bathroom clean and contemporary. Location perfect for Regent street, Piccadilly square and the London Palladium. Breakfast included, was a good selection.

Breakfast and staff at breakfast were great.

Upgraded our room - it was spacious but poorly laid out we had to lift the TV to watch it while in bed. Generally staff good, in breakfast great, but had a rude experience on returning our first night as we said the wrong room number and cause unnecessary comments. I’ve been to the Ham Yard lots for business lunches and breakfasts, never stayed. Normally stay at the Rosewood or Claridges and we wanted to try something different.

All the friendly staff going out of there way to help with anything.
