Ham Yard Hotel, London

Lovely furnishings, comfy room and bed and Linen, well appointed bathroom Most of the staff were great, especially the doorman and the front desk staff

The breakfast staff seemed a little short tempered. Not all of them but one in particular, who also got our order wrong. We felt like we were a nuisance to her. The bar and restaurant were "ok"...but that's it.

1. The bowling alley. 2. Ham Yard is almost identical to the Soho Hotel (also a Firmdale property) but in my opinion less refined, despite being pricier. Ham Yard is trendier I think, and in a very slightly better location but Soho is in my opinion the better choice.

Unfriendly front desk staff. Lots of 'not possible'. We arrived early and asked to be notified by WhatsApp (only had a data sim) when our room was ready. Apparently something that is not possible. They could also not give us an idea when then room would be ready, how hard is it to assign a room and coordinate with housekeeping? Not possible apparently. The concierge and his team on the other hand were fantastic and accommodating in every way. Perhaps management should get the concierge desk to train the front desk on customer service.

Beautiful and interesting interiors. Wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom was a dream.

It is pretty expensive, but everything was at a superb level. I guess you get what you pay for.

Decor

Restaurant and bar had great atmosphere and breakfast was especially good. Location was excellent. My daughter and I shared a delux room which was very comfortable. The front desk and consierge team were excellent.

Junior suite was well designed and spacious. Bathroom clean and contemporary. Location perfect for Regent street, Piccadilly square and the London Palladium. Breakfast included, was a good selection.

Didn’t have breakfast but ordering drinks was a polite courteous service and location was great

The room had no Curtains and the lights from other establishments were disturbing

Upgraded our room - it was spacious but poorly laid out we had to lift the TV to watch it while in bed. Generally staff good, in breakfast great, but had a rude experience on returning our first night as we said the wrong room number and cause unnecessary comments. I’ve been to the Ham Yard lots for business lunches and breakfasts, never stayed. Normally stay at the Rosewood or Claridges and we wanted to try something different.
